Synthesis and separation of mellitic acid and graphite oxide colloid through electrochemical oxidation of graphite in deionized water

Electrochemical oxidation of graphite anode in deionized water at galvanostatic mode is investigated. It is found that mellitic acid and graphite oxide colloid (>20 nm) are coexisted as main products, as identified by XRD and TEM, FTIR and XPS. They can be separated successfully through several procedures. A few amounts of graphene and graphene rolls are also appeared as co-products.

Some variants of Cauchy's method with accelerated fourth-order convergence

In this paper, we present some variants of Cauchy's method for solving non-linear equations. Analysis of convergence shows that the methods have fourth-order convergence. Per iteration the new methods cost almost the same as Cauchy's method. Numerical results show that the methods can compete with Cauchy's method.     

Crowding with nearest neighbors replacement for multiple species niching and building blocks preservation in binary multimodal functions optimization

This paper introduces a novel niching scheme called the q-nearest neighbors replacement (q-NNR) method in the framework of the steady-state GAs (SSGAs) for solving binary multimodal optimization problems. A detailed comparison of the main niching approaches are presented first. The niching paradigm and difference of the selection-recombination genetic algorithms (GAs) and the recombination-replacement SSGAs are discussed. Then the q-NNR is developed by adopting special replacement policies based on the SSGAs; a Boltzmann scheme for dynamically sizing the nearest neighbors set is designed to achieve a speed-up and control the proportion of individuals adapted to different niches. Finally, experiments are carried out on a set of test functions characterized by deception, epistasis, symmetry and multimodality. The results are satisfactory and illustrate the effectivity and efficiency of the proposed niching method.     

基于低压补气的变转速冷藏系统的性能研究

针对冷库运行过程中出现的压缩机排气温度高、系统性能衰减等问题,设计并搭建了基于平行流换热器的低压补气冷藏系统实验台对冷藏系统在低压补气和不补气状态下压缩机转速对冷藏系统综合性能的影响进行了分析.结果 表明:随着压缩机转速的增加,两种工况下压缩机排气温度都会增加,在补气模式下排气温度增加了5％,在不补气模式下增加了7.8％;冷藏系统的制冷量也会随之增大,在补气模式下制冷量增加了43％,在不补气模式下增加了25.9％,低压补气模式下增加的制冷量更大一些;压缩机功率随转速的增加而增大,且两种模式下增幅接近,在补气模式下压缩机功率增加了27.44％,在不补气模式下增加了27.34％;另外随着转速的增大系统COP呈现先增大后减小的趋势,在转速为3500 r/min处趋于稳定.     

可扩展的冲击—接触并行计算研究

冲击—接触计算模型在汽车碰撞、金属成型等的模拟计算中有着广泛的应用，鉴于冲击—接触计算过程复杂和计算量大，本文在分布式可扩展的并行计算平台上，设计并实现了冲击—接触的并行计算。算例证明，计算平台稳定可靠，算法简单实用，且具有较好的并行效率和可扩展性。     

Ionic‐Liquid‐Grafted Rigid Poly(p‐Phenylene) Microspheres: Efficient Heterogeneous Media for Metal Scavenging and Catalysis

Novel guanidinium ionic liquid‐grafted rigid poly(p‐phenylene) (PPPIL) microspheres have been developed for metal scavenging and catalysis. The noble‐metal nanoparticles supported on the microspheres surface can be used as efficient heterogeneous catalysts. The combination of nanoparticles and ionic liquid fragments on the microsphere surfaces enhance the activity and durability of the catalyst. The PPPIL ? Pd⁰ catalyst has been tested in the Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction, and exhibits much higher catalytic activity than Pd catalysts supported on porous polymer matrices. The PPPIL ? Pd⁰ catalyst can be recycled at least for nine runs without any significant loss of activity. The present approach may, therefore, have potential applications in transition‐metal‐nanocatalyzed reactions.     

Regio- and enantioselective intermolecular hydroacylation: substrate-directed addition of salicylaldehydes to homoallylic sulfides

We report a Rh-catalyzed, regio- and enantioselective intermolecular olefin hydroacylation under mild conditions. Hydroacylations between homoallylic sulfides, containing a substrate-bound directing group, and salicylaldehyde derivatives occur in the presence of a spiro-phosphoramidite ligand, (R)-SIPHOS-PE, to give α-branched ketones in >20:1 selectivity and up to 97% ee. Our conditions are also applicable to the asymmetric intermolecular hydroacylation of 1,2-disubstituted olefins.     

In-band pumped Er:YAG ceramic laser with 11 W of output power at 1645 nm

We report on a high power polycrystalline Er:YAG ceramic laser in-band pumped by a cladding-pumped Er, Yb fiber laser wavelength locked at 1532 nm with a volume Bragg grating. Using 1.0 at % Er³⁺-doped ceramic as the gain medium and an output coupler of 10% transmission, the laser had a threshold pump power of ∼1.5 W and generated 11 W of continuous-wave output at 1645 nm for 23.3 W of incident pump power at 1532 nm, corresponding to a slope efficiency with respect to incident pump power of 51%.
