Nonlinear optical parameters and optical limitation in cobalt-doped polyvinylpyrrolidone solutions

Nonlinear optical parameters (nonlinear refractive indices and nonlinear absorption coefficients) of solutions of polyvinylpyrrolidone doped by cobalt to various concentrations are measured at the lasing and second-harmonic wavelengths of a picosecond Nd:YAG laser (λ=1064 and 532 nm, respectively, and τ=35 ps). Data on optical limitation in these solutions are presented. The absence of nonlinear absorption in the IR spectral range and its significant effect in the visible range are demonstrated. Optical limitation at a wavelength of 1064 nm is related to defocusing, whereas at 532 nm, this effect is caused by two-photon absorption and partially by inverse saturated absorption and defocusing. Nonlinear optical parameters of metal-polymer complexes are reported.     

Generalized Noether theorems and applications

We generalize the first and second Noether theorems (Noether identities) to a constrained system in phase space. As an example, the conservation law deriving from Lagrange's formalism cannot be obtained fromH _E via the generalized first Noether theorem (GFNT); Dirac's conjecture regarding secondary first-class constraints (SFCC) is invalid in this example. A preliminary application of the generalized Noether identities (GNI) to nonrelativistic charged particles in an electromagnetic field shows that on the constrained hypersurface in phase space one obtains electric charge conservation. This conservation law is valid whether Dirac's conjecture holds true or not.     

Theoretical Research on a Kind of Quantum Left-handed Metamaterial

Recently, research on left-handed materials （LHMs） has attracted considerable attentions. The LHMs are a kind of metameterial which have negative permittivity and negative permeability, which lead to negative refractive index in a frequency range. The LHMs that have been available so far are in the microwave range and are usually composed of classical particles, such as split-ring resonators. Some quantum phenomena such as spontaneous emission of atoms in the LHMs which are considered to be ＇classical background＇ have also been investigated. Many potential applications of LHMs have been proposed, such as superlenses which, in principle, can achieve arbitrary subwavelength resolution.     

时间分辨光子计数系统的研究和应用

A FUNDAMENTAL SOLUTION FOR THE LAPLACE OPERATOR ON THE QUATERNIONIC HEISENBERG GROUP

In this paper, the author studies the Laplace operator on the quaternionic Heisenberg group, construct a fundamental solution for it and use this solution to prove the Lp-boundedness and the weak (1-1) boundedness of certain singular convolution operators on the quaternionic Heisenberg group.

Proton conductivity of phosphoric acid derivative of fullerene

The proton conductive property of methano [60] fullerene diphosphoric acid has been investigated under various humidity conditions at the temperature range between 15 and 45 °C. It shows proton conductivity as high as 10⁻² S cm⁻¹ at 25 °C under relative humidity of 95%. Thermal analyses including TG–DTA and thermal desorption mass spectroscopy (TDS) confirm that the compound is thermally stable up to 200 °C. Proton conduction of the compound depends very much on humidity or water content. The logarithmic conductivity at 25 °C is increased linearly with increasing relative humidity. The activation energy (E_a) estimated from the slope of log(σT) vs. 1/T is decreased from 1.08 to 0.52 eV, as the relative humidity is increased from 40% to 75%. The humidity dependence of conductivity is discussed in the light of the observed hydration isotherm.     

V3+:YAG晶体的生长、色心与光谱性能研究

采用石墨电阻加热的温梯法生长了V:YAG晶体,晶体的不同部位呈现两种不同的颜色:浅绿色和黄褐色.通过对比分析不同颜色V:YAG晶体的室温吸收光谱,推断出石墨发热体高温下扩散出来的C可以起到还原作用,提高晶体中V3+tetra离子的浓度,同时诱导了F心的形成.在1300℃下,对不同颜色的V:YAG晶体进行真空退火处理,发现处于八面体格位中的V3+离子在热激发作用下与近邻的四面体格位Al3+离子存在置换反应,由此产生一定浓度的四面体格位V3+离子.同时,F心在退火过程中被完全消除,释放出来的自由电子被高价态的V离子俘获,可以进一步提高晶体中四面体格位V3+离子的浓度.     

准晶体中八方晶系点群的对称性与矩阵表示

从理论上对准晶体中八方晶系各点群进行了研究.运用八方晶系各点群的极赤投影图,列出了各点群的所有对称操作;填出了固有点群822的群乘表.运用坐标变换和群论在自定义的八方坐标系中,推导出八方晶系点群所有对称操作的矩阵.这32个3×3矩阵的结构是相当简洁的,它们的矩阵元只有5种可能取值:0,±1,±2.其中2是反映八方晶系准晶体所具有的准周期性的特殊无理数.     

PVK∶DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移及发光性质的研究

研究了不同比例的PVK与齐聚PPV衍生物DBVP掺杂体系的能量转移和发光特性.通过对PVK,DBVP及PVK:DBVP掺杂体系的UV-vis,PL和PLE光谱的研究,分析了PVK与DBVP之间的能量转移过程.利用PVK在体系中类似于溶剂的分散作用,制备了结构为ITO/PEDOT/PVK:DBVP/LiF/Al的电致发光器件,研究了掺杂体系的电致发光性能.结果表明,在掺杂体系的光致发光和电致发光中,PVK的发射被有效地抑制,PVK与DBVP之间发生了非常有效的能量转移,通过调节PVK与DBVP的比例,可以获得蓝色和绿色发光,同时可以改善器件的发光性能,当PVK与DBVP的重量比为1∶2时,器件的绿色发光效率达到1·06cd/A,此时发光亮度为52cd/m2.
