A capillary electrophoresis method with contactless conductivity detection was evaluated as a new approach for quantification of creatine and phosphocreatine in human quadriceps femoris biopsy samples. The running buffers employed consisted of 1 M acetic acid at a pH of 2.3 for the determination of creatine and 50 mM 3-(N-morpholino)propanesulfonic acid/30 mM histidine at a pH of 6.4 for the determination of phosphocreatine in the centrifuged muscle extracts. The limits of detection for creatine and phosphocreatine were found to be 2.5 and 1.0 μM, respectively. Creatine and phosphocreatine were determined in six human muscle biopsy samples and the results were found comparable to those of a standard enzymatic assay. The procedures developed for creatine and phosphocreatine also allow the determination of creatinine as well as adenosine diphosphate and adenosine triphosphate.  相似文献

As a part of our general interest in the UV-Vis spectroscopy of multidentate mixed-donor ligands, the (salicylideneethylenediamine)Cu(II) complex has been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, solubility in common solvents, molar conductivities, and ultraviolet (UV), and visible (Vis) spectroscopy. The combined results of spectrophotometric measurements and EPR spectra, as well as known the X-ray structure for solids, were used to determine the structure of the investigated complex in solutions. The spectra of [Cu(salen)] (H2salen = salicylideneethylenediamine), were measured in various solvents at room temperature, resolved by Gaussian analysis, and angular overlap model (AOM) treated in C 2v symmetry. Because of overparametrization problems, the bis(salicylaldehyde)Cu(II) complex has been characterized and AOM treated. The results of this have been used for AOM studies of [Cu(salen)]. The effect of the solvents upon the - and -bonding ligand abilities is discussed.  相似文献

The reactions between trinuclear gold complex tppmAu(3)Cl(3) (tppm = tris(diphenylphosphino)methane), arylacetylenes HC(2)C(6)H(4)X and Cu(+) under basic conditions result in formation of the heterometallic complexes [tppm(AuC(2)C(6)H(4)X)(3)Cu](+), X = H (1), COOMe (2), CN (3), OMe (4), NH(2) (5). These compounds belong to one structural motif and consist of the heterometallic {(AuC(2)C(6)H(4)X)(3)Cu} core stabilized by the tridentate phosphine. Compounds 1-5 were characterized by polynuclear NMR and IR spectroscopy, ESI-MS and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Luminescence properties of these complexes have been studied and revealed a substantial red shift of the emission maxima with the increase in the electron donicity of the alkynyl ligands substituents in the 550-680 nm range. The theoretical calculations of the electronic structures showed that variations of the substituents on the alkynyl ligands display very little effect on the molecular structural parameters but show appreciable influence on the orbital energies and luminescence characteristics of the compounds under study.  相似文献

This paper describes a method for speciation of Hg associated with airborne particulate matter. This method uses a mini-sampler for sample collection and analysis, thermal desorption for separating Hg species, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP–MS) for identification and quantification of Hg. Coal fly ash spiked with different Hg compounds (e.g. Hg0, HgCl2, HgO, and HgS) was used for qualitative calibration. A standard reference material with a certified value for Hg concentration was used to evaluate the method. When the temperature of the furnace was programmed at a linear rate of increase of 50° min–1, different Hg compounds could clearly be separated. Three airborne particulate matter samples were collected in parallel in Toronto, ON, Canada and analyzed using this method. Reproducible results were obtained and Hg0, HgCl2, HgO, and HgS species from these samples were detected.  相似文献

The rheological behavior of beta-casein adsorption layers formed at the air-water and tetradecane-water interfaces is studied in detail by means of pendant drop tensiometry. First, its adsorption behavior is briefly summarized at both interfaces, experimentally and also theoretically. Subsequently, the experimental dilatational results obtained for a wide range of frequencies are presented for both interfaces. An interesting dependence with the oscillation frequency is observed via the comparative analysis of the interfacial elasticity (storage part) and the interfacial viscosity (loss part) for the two interfaces. The analysis of the interfacial elasticities provides information on the conformational transitions undergone by the protein upon adsorption at both interfaces. The air-water interface shows a complex behavior in which two maxima merge into one as the frequency increases, whereas only a single maximum is found at the tetradecane interface within the range of frequencies studied. This is interpreted in terms of a decisive interaction between the oil and the protein molecules. Furthermore, the analysis of the interfacial viscosities provides information on the relaxation processes occurring at both interfaces. Similarly, substantial differences arise between the gaseous and liquid interfaces and various possible relaxation mechanisms are discussed. Finally, the experimental elasticities obtained for frequencies higher than 0.1 Hz are further analyzed on the basis of a thermodynamic model. Accordingly, the nature of the conformational transition given by the maximum at these frequencies is discussed in terms of different theoretical considerations. The formation of a protein bilayer at the interface or the limited compressibility of the protein in the adsorbed state are regarded as possible explanations of the maximum.  相似文献

A flexible, highly sensitive sensor of oxygen in non-aqueous solvents is described. It consists of CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles decorated with a considerable number of pyrene units, thus making the formation of the pyrene excimer possible. The emission of the pyrene excimer and that of the nanoparticle are suitably separated from each other and also from the excitation wavelength. This sensor can be applied as a ratiometric oxygen sensor by using the linear response of the pyrene excimer lifetime combined with the linear response of the nanoparticle excited state lifetime. This nanohybrid has been assayed in seven media with different dielectric constants and viscosities over the whole oxygen concentration range. In addition, the sensor versatility provides an easy way for monitoring oxygen diffusion through systems.  相似文献

An analytical method has been developed for the simultaneous extraction and determination of trace tertiary octylphenol (t-OP), technical nonylphenol isomers (NP), nonylphenol monoethoxylate isomers (NP1EO) and seven phthalates in the atmosphere using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). High volume samples were collected using a high-volume pump equipped with a PUF/XAD-2 column for air and glass fiber filter for particles. The detection limits of the method for alkylphenols (APs) and the phthalates ranged from 0.0006 to 0.034 ng m−3 in air. The recoveries of t-OP, NP, NP1EO and the phthalates for the entire procedure were satisfactory (>69%). The method was successfully applied to the determination of the analytes in the atmosphere samples collected over land and the ocean. The concentrations of t-OP, NP, NP1EO showed decline trends from land to the open sea, and the phthalates present over land and the North Sea were comparable. It is suggested that the atmosphere is a significant pathway for the transport of alkylphenols and the phthalates in the environment.  相似文献
