This work presents a comparative study between two different methods for the preparation of mediator-modified screen-printed electrodes, to be used as detectors in a reliable flow injection system for the determination of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) coenzyme. The best strategy was selected for the final development of compact biosensors based on dehydrogenase enzymes. For the first immobilisation strategy, different redox mediators were electropolymerised onto the SPE surface. The second immobilisation strategy was carried out using polysulfone–graphite composites, which were deposited by screen-printing technology onto the screen-printed electrode (SPE) surface. Both methods achieved an effective and reliable incorporation of redox mediators to the SPE configuration. Finally, a flow system for ammonium determination was developed using a glutamate dehydrogenase (GlDH)-Meldola's Blue (MB)-polysulfone-composite film-based biosensor.

The stability of the redox mediators inside the composite films as well as the negligible fouling effect observed on the electrode surface improve the repeatability and reproducibility of the sensors, important features for continuous analysis in flow systems. Furthermore, the optimised bio/sensors, incorporated in a flow injection system, showed good sensitivities and short response times. Such a good analytical performance together with the simple and fast sensor construction are interesting characteristics to consider the polysulfone-composite films as attractive electrochemical transducer materials for the development of new dehydrogenase-based SPEs.  相似文献

Surface tensions (sigma) for [1,3-dioxolane+methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, and 1-pentanol] and excess molar volumes (v(E)) for [1,3-dioxolane+methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, and 2-butanol] at the temperature 298.15 K and normal atmospheric pressure have been determined as a function of mole fractions. The magnitude of these experimental quantities is discussed in terms of the nature and type of intermolecular interactions in binary mixtures. In order to analyze the surface tension behavior, the extended Langmuir (EL) model was used and the results obtained for the systems containing 1,3-dioxolane were compared with those of other formerly published series: [1,4-dioxane+alkanes] and [1,4-dioxane+alcohols].  相似文献

The energy states of tetrameric iron clusters with d6-d6-d6-d5 and d5-d5-d5-d6 electronic configurations, which form the metal frameworks of the [Fe4S4]+ and [Fe4S4]3+ iron-sulfur proteins, are calculated using a general approach. The effect of grinding on thermal behavior of pyrophyllite and talc as commonly used ceramic clay minerals was investigated by DTA, TG, emanation thermal analysis (ETA), B.E.T. surface area (s.a.) measurements, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). A vibratory mill was used in this study, grinding time was 5 min. It was found that the grinding caused an increase in surface area and a grain size reduction of the samples. From TG and DTA results it followed that grinding caused a decrease of the temperature at which the structure bound OH groups released. The formation of high temperature phases was enhanced with the ground samples. For the ground talc sample the crystallization of non-crystalline phase into orthorhombic enstatite was observed in the range of 800°C. For ground pyrophyllite a certain agglomeration of grains was observed in the range above 950°C. Moreover, for both clays the ETA characterized a closing up of subsurface irregularities caused by grinding as a decrease of the emanation rate in the range 250–400°C. The comparison of thermal analysis results with the results of other methods made it possible to better understand the effect of grinding on the ceramic clays.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] The title reactions, in 44 wt % ethanol-water at 25.0 degrees C, exhibit slightly curved Br?nsted-type plots (log kN versus pKa of amines) with slopes beta1 = 0.1-0.44 (at high pKa) and beta2 ca. 0.7 (at low pKa). The magnitude of some of these slopes, together with the fact that the curvature center (pKa(0) = 9.5-10.8) does not change with the electronic effects of the benzoyl substituent, suggests that these reactions are not stepwise, but concerted.  相似文献

Summary A new series of cyano-substituted nitrosylchromium(I) complexes having octahedral stereochemistry around the metal ion, and of general formula, [CrNO(CN)2(L)2(H2O)] (L =o-,m- andp-phenetidines oro-,m-, andp-anisidines) have been isolated in the solid state by interaction of potassium pentacy-anonitrosylchromate(I) monohydrate with the appropriately substituted aniline. The complexes, which have been characterised by elemental analysis, conductance, molecular weight determination, magnetic measurements, e.s.r. and i.r. spectral studies, contain chromium(I) in a low-spin d5-configuration.  相似文献

The detailed analysis of the experimental spectrophotometric data obtained from solutions containing the acid-base indicator thymol blue (TB) and mercury(II) (Hg(II)) coupled with data processing by means of the SQUAD program, a chemical model was determined that includes the formation of complexes indicator-metal ion (HgTB and HgOTB), dimer species (H3TB2 and H4TB2) and monomer species (HTB and TB). The values of the overall formation constants (log beta) were calculated for the chemical equilibria involved: TB+Hg<-->HgTB log beta=16.047 +/- 0.043, TB+Hg+H2O<-->HgOHTB+H log beta=7.659 +/- 0.049, 2TB+4H<-->H4TB2 log beta=31.398 +/- 0.083, 2TB+3H<-->H3TB2 log beta=29.953 +/- 0.084 and H+TB<-->HTB-log beta=8.900. To compliment the present research, the values of the absorptivity coefficients are included for all the species involved, within a wide range of wavelengths (250-700 nm). The latter were used subsequently to carry simulations of the absorption spectra at various pH values, thus corroborating that the chemical model proposed is fully capable to describe the experimental information. Transition metal molybdates of the formulaAMoO4 whereA=Fe, Co or Ni exhibit a first-order phase transition between 670K–970K. An investigation of the lowtemperature (lt) and high-temperature (ht) phases by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility and other physical methods shows that the phase transition is associated with a valence change of the typeA 2++Mo6+αA 3++Mo5+ in the cases of iron and cobalt molybdates. The kinetics of the reaction between atactic polypropylene (APP) and oxygen in bulk at temperatures ranging from 170 to 210°C and oxygen partial pressures from 160 to 760 torr have been studied by thermal differential analysis. The reaction takes place in two successive steps, both giving hydroperoxide groups as product. Partial reaction orders with respect to APP and oxygen for the first step, which corresponds to the uncatalyzed attack of a C? H tertiary bond to give a hydroperoxide, are one and two, respectively. In the second step, interpreted as another attack on a tertiary C? H by oxygen, catalyzed by a neighboring hydroperoxide group, reaction orders are one and one-half for APP and oxygen, respectively. Activation parameters have been determined and a reaction sequence is proposed. Hydroperoxidated APP subsequently decomposes via a zero-order process giving methylketone groups as its main product. An interpretation of this process is also given.  相似文献

Summary The interaction of non-anhydrous solutions of the ligand 1,3-bis-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-propanedione (bhppH3) with hydrated rare earth chlorides resulted in the formation of anhydrous, non-solvated, complexes M(bhppH2)3 (M=Y, La, Nd, Pr, Sm or Yb). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, t.g., i.r. and1H n.m.r. spectroscopy. The evidence suggests that the coordination is through the -diketone site.  相似文献
