An intercalated nanocomposite of the organically modified montmorillonite Cloisite C25A and a degradable poly(ester amide) based on glycolic acid and 6-aminohexanoic acid units (poly(glc-alt-amh)) was prepared using a twin-screw co-rotating extruder. The non-isothermal degradation kinetics was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TG and DTG) in the temperature range of 50–600 °C at five heating rates (2, 5, 10, 20 and 40 °C/min) and compared with the neat polymer. Significant differences were found since the nanocomposite showed three degradation steps instead of the two decomposition processes detected in the pristine sample. The onset mass loss temperature decreased in the nanocomposite due to the presence of the organo-modifier compound, but the presence of the silicate layers significantly decreased the degradation rate at the last stages of decomposition. Kinetic analysis was performed using the Kissinger method and the isoconversional (Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose and Friedman) methods. The true kinetic triplets (E, A, f(α)) were determined for the first two steps of degradation through the Coats–Redfern and the Invariant Kinetic Parameters methods. The results clearly indicated that the presence of the organo-modified clay modified the mechanisms of degradation.  相似文献

Magnetic macroporous polymers have been successfully prepared using Pickering high internal phase ratio emulsions (HIPEs) as templates. To stabilize the HIPEs, two types of oleic acid-modified iron oxide nanoparticles (NPs) were used as emulsifiers. The results revealed that partially hydrophobic NPs could stabilize W/O HIPEs with an internal phase above 90%. Depending upon the oleic acid content, the nanoparticles showed either an arrangement at the oil-water interface or a partial dispersion into the oil phase. Such different abilities to migrate to the interface had significant effects on the maximum internal phase fraction achievable and the droplet size distribution of the emulsions. Highly macroporous composite polymers were obtained by polymerization in the external phase of these emulsions. The density, porosity, pore morphology and magnetic properties were characterized as a function of the oleic acid content, concentration of NPs, and internal phase volume of the initial HIPEs. SEM imaging indicated that a close-cell structure was obtained. Furthermore, the composite materials showed superparamagnetic behavior and a relatively high magnetic moment.  相似文献

Here we study experimentally and by simulations the interaction of monovalent organic and inorganic anions with hydrophobic and hydrophilic colloids. In the case of hydrophobic colloids, our experiments show that charge inversion is induced by chaotropic inorganic monovalent ions but it is not induced by kosmotropic inorganic anions. For organic anions, giant charge inversion is observed at very low electrolyte concentrations. In addition, charge inversion disappears for both organic and inorganic ions when turning to hydrophilic colloids. These results provide an experimental evidence for the hydrophobic effect as the driving force for both ion specific effects and charge inversion. In the case of organic anions, our molecular dynamics (MD) simulations with full atomic detail show explicitly how the large adsorption free energies found for hydrophobic colloids are transformed into large repulsive barriers for hydrophilic colloids. Simulations confirm that solvation free energy (and hence the hydrophobic effect) is responsible for the build up of a Stern layer of adsorbed ions and charge inversion in hydrophobic colloids and it is also the mechanism preventing charge inversion in hydrophilic colloids. Overall, our experimental and simulation results suggest that the interaction of monovalent ions with interfaces is dominated by solvation thermodynamics, that is, the chaotropic/kosmotropic character of ions and the hydrophobic/hydrophilic character of surfaces.  相似文献

While an unequal population of rapidly interconverting left- and right-handed conformers of a helical oligomer can be detected by circular dichroism, precise quantification of a conformer ratio has not previously been achieved. We demonstrate, using a set of labeled peptide analogues, that simple analysis of peak separation in their (13)C NMR spectra at slow and fast exchange allows an accurate value for the ratio of helical conformers to be obtained. The method reports the ratio of conformers at the site of the label and can therefore be used to investigate local variations in helical conformational control.  相似文献

The reaction of the new ditopic thiol-phosphine compound HS(CH(2))(11)OOCC(6)H(4)PPh(2) (L) with an excess of dodecanethiol-protected gold nanoparticles gave the asymmetric gold complex [CH(3)(CH(2))(11)SAuPPh(2)C(6)H(4)COO(CH(2))(11)SH] (4), but no phosphine-protected gold nanoparticles were formed. However, by blocking the phosphine function in L with metal fragments, we have been able to produce gold nanoparticles functionalised with AuCl- and cluster [Fe(2)(CO)(7)Au] units on the surface by the method of ligand-place exchange reaction.  相似文献

The feasibility pump (FP) has proved to be a successful heuristic for finding feasible solutions of mixed integer linear problems. Briefly, FP alternates between two sequences of points: one of feasible solutions for the relaxed problem, and another of integer points. This short paper extends FP, such that the integer point is obtained by rounding a point on the (feasible) segment between the computed feasible point and the analytic center for the relaxed linear problem.  相似文献

In the present work, novel coordination possibilities for the system dapdoH(2)/Ni(II) (dapdoH(2) = 2,6-diacetylpyridine-dioxime) have been explored. Depending on the starting reagents and solution conditions, several clusters with nuclearities ranging from Ni(5) to Ni(10) were achieved and structurally characterized, namely, [Ni(5)(R-COO)(2)(dapdo)(2)(dapdoH)(2)(N(CN)(2))(2)(MeOH)(2)] in which R-COO(-) = benzoate (1) or 3-chlorobenzoate (2), [Ni(8)(dapdo)(4)(NO(3))(4)(OH)(4)(MeOH)(4)] (3), and [Ni(10)(dapdo)(8)(N(CN)(2))(2)(MeO)(MeOH)](NO(3)) (4). For the first time, pentadentate coordination for the dapdo(2-) ligand has been established. All compounds show a combination of square-planar and octahedrally coordinated nickel atoms. According to the Ni(2)(sp)Ni(3)(Oh) (1 and 2), Ni(4)(sp)Ni(4)(Oh) (3), and Ni(4)(sp)Ni(6)(Oh) (4) environments, these systems magnetically behave as trimer, tetramer, and hexanuclear clusters, respectively. dc magnetic measurements in the 2-300 K range of temperature reveal antiferromagnetic coupling for all compounds, and the correlation of the superexchange interaction with the torsion angles involving the oximato bridges is experimentally confirmed.  相似文献

The preparation of three new octadentate tetranucleating ligands made out of two Ru-Hbpp-based units [where Hbpp is 3,5(bispyridyl)pyrazole], linked by a xylyl group attached at the pyrazolate moiety, of general formula (Hbpp)(2)-u-xyl (u = p, m, or o) is reported, together with its dinucleating counterpart substituted at the same position with a benzyl group, Hbpp-bz. All of these ligands have been characterized with the usual analytical and spectroscopic techniques. The corresponding tetranuclear ruthenium complexes of general formula {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-u-xyl)}(n+) [L = Cl or OAc, n = 4; L = (H(2)O)(2), n = 6] and their dinuclear homologues {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](μ-bpp-bz)}(n+) [L = Cl or OAc, n = 2; L = (H(2)O)(2), n = 3] have also been prepared and thoroughly characterized both in solution and in the solid state. In solution, all of the complexes have been characterized spectroscopically by UV-vis and NMR and their redox properties investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry techniques. In the solid state, monocrystal X-ray diffraction analysis has been carried out for two dinuclear complexes {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(L)](μ-bpp-bz)}(2+) (L = Cl and OAc) and for the tetranuclear complex {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(μ-OAc)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-m-xyl)}(4+). The capacity of the tetranuclear aqua complexes {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2)(μ-(bpp)(2)-u-xyl)}(6+) and the dinuclear homologue {[Ru(2)(trpy)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](μ-bpp-bz)}(3+) to act as water-oxidation catalysts has been evaluated using cerium(IV) as the chemical oxidant in pH = 1.0 triflic acid solutions. It is found that these complexes, besides generating significant amounts of dioxygen, also generate carbon dioxide. The relative ratio of [O(2)]/[CO(2)] is dependent not only on para, meta, or ortho substitution of the xylylic group but also on the concentration of the starting materials. With regard to the tetranuclear complexes, the one that contains the more sterically constrained ortho-substituted ligand generates the highest [O(2)]/[CO(2)] ratio.  相似文献
