A programme, 'SIMKINERSQUO; is developed using a semi-implicit extrapolation method (SIEM) which uses the implicit midpoint rule and extrapolation to simulate complex mechanisms based on the kinetics of homogeneous chemical systems. The chemical kinetics pre-processor code is designed to translate a user-specified system of chemical rate equations into a system of chemical kinetic differential equations. The developed programme is applied to the 13-step mechanism of the reaction between Nile blue and acidic bromate. The results obtained compare well with the curves drawn using the other method, reported in literature.  相似文献

The kinetic and mechanistic details of the reaction between toluidine blue and sulfite were studied spectrophotometrically by monitoring the depletion of toluidine blue at 633 nm. The reaction had first‐order dependence on both the reactants, a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1 and a negative salt effect indicating the participation of TB+ and SO32− ions in the rate‐limiting step. The reaction products were leuco base of toluidine blue and sulfate. The reaction was pH dependent and hence studied at its optimum pH 7.2. Cu(II) acted as promoter by facilitating the formation of a ternary complex with the reactants. The protonation and stability constants of the reactants were determined and used in validating the mechanism. The activation parameters for the reactions in absence and presence of Cu(II) were determined and compared with other systems. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. This personal account mainly introduces and reviews our recent contributions in developing different catalyst materials involving mixed oxides and their scope as renewable catalysts in multicomponent reactions to synthesize various novel heterocyclic scaffolds under green conditions. The application of various mixed oxides and their composites in the organic synthesis is emphasized through this review, in order to reveal the versatility, scope and importance of mixed oxides and their interactions during the reaction. We have also briefed the limitations of mixed oxides as catalysts, to put forward the broader prospective in the field.  相似文献

The oxidation kinetics of malachite green (MG) with peroxydisulphate ion (PDS) were investigated by monitoring the absorbance change at 618 nm, in aqueous solutions under buffered and unbuffered conditions. Under both conditions, the reaction had first order dependence on reductant and a fractional order (one half) dependence on the oxidant. The stoichiometric ratio between MG and PDS was 1:2. The reaction had a negative salt effect. Reaction rates were enhanced under both high or low pH relative to neutral conditions. A plausible mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

Use of cheaper and recyclable materials contributes positively to economic growth with environmental sustainability. We report the prospect of utilizing red brick clay as catalyst, which exhibited excellent activity in rapid one-pot four-component condensation of 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles with high conversion and yields (91–96%) in aqueous medium at 60 °C in short reaction times (25–40 min). The red brick clay material was fully characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TEM, EDX and BET analyses. Red brick clay consisted of oxides of Si (20.38%), Fe (19.55%), Al (14.30%) and minor amounts of Ca (3.60%) and Mg (1.68%). The slate-like-shaped structure morphology and flaky appearance of inexpensive solid clay material proved competent material for the synthesis of 15 novel 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazole derivatives. In addition, the advantages of the eco-friendly method are non-toxicity and re-usability of the catalyst. Reaction offers 78% atom economy and 84% carbon capture.
