Pyrrolosteroids such as 17β-hydroxy-1′-H-5α-androst-2-eno[3,2-b]pyrrole ( 1 ) and the novel 17β-hydroxy-1′-H-5α-androst-3-eno[3,4-b]pyrrole ( 12 ) can be synthesized from the corresponding O-(2-hydroxyethyl)ketoxime precursors. Organizations are frequently required to make long-term strategic choices regarding the design and manufacture of innovative process equipment and systems which address future needs. An important consideration in such choices is the evaluation of the unique capabilities of available suppliers. Typically, such evaluations must be made relative to multiple attributes or criteria. This paper examines one such supplier evaluation process in the context of a major international manufacturer of telecommunication equipment. The ad hoc method used by the organization to evaluate the multiple factors involved is presented, and an alternative, structured approach to deal with the multiple factors is then discussed.  相似文献

A submillimeter laser Stark spectrum has been observed for fully deuterated Methyl Chloride (CD3Cl) with the 337 m line of the HCN laser up to Stark fields of about 54000 V/cm. The spectra were taken for both Parallel and Perpendicular Polarizations and the multiplet transitions were identified as JK=42K41K in the ground vibrational state. Three families with K=12, 13 and 14 have been identified and their zero field frequencies have been given with improved accuracy over those calculated from available molecular constants.  相似文献

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are among the most commonly used engineered NPs and various commercially available products are designed to come in direct contact with the skin (wound dressings, textiles, creams, among others). Currently, there is limited understanding of the influence of coatings on the toxicity of AgNPs and in particular their ability to impact on AgNP’s mediated inflammatory responses. As AgNPs are often stabilized by different coatings, including citrate and polyethyleneglycol (PEG), in this study we investigate the influence of citrate (Cit10) or PEG (PEG10) coatings to 10 nm AgNP on skin, using human HaCaT keratinocytes. AgNPs cytotoxicity and inflammatory response (nuclear factor (NF)-κB induction and cytokine production) of HaCaT were assessed after in vitro exposure to 10 and 40 µg/mL after 4, 24, and 48 h. Results showed that although both types of coated AgNPs decreased cell proliferation and viability, Cit10 AgNPs were more toxic. NF-κB inhibition was observed for the highest concentration (40 µg/mL) of PEG10 AgNPs, and the putative link to early apoptotic pathways observed in these cells is discussed. No production of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, and TNFα was stimulated by AgNPs. Furthermore, Cit10 and PEG10 AgNPs decreased the release of MCP-1 by HaCaT cells after 48 h of exposure. As cytokines are vital for the immunologic regulation in the human body, and it is demonstrated that they may interfere with NPs, more research is needed to understand how different AgNPs affect the immune system.  相似文献

Laser ablation due to an ultrashort laser pulse on a massive aluminum target was investigated by means of a one-dimensional fluid code. Clear separation between the ablated matter and the unablated target is seen to occur through spinodal decomposition involving thermodynamic instabilities near the critical point of aluminum. The code also shows that the end of the ablation process is preceded by the ejection of droplets, which form about 15% of the total ejected mass.  相似文献

Submillimeter laser-Stark spectra have been observed for the isotopic species of methyl fluoride,13CH3F, using the 337 m line of the HCN laser. We have identified the multiplet transitions as JK=18K17K in the ground vibrational state. Ten distinct families with K=8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 have been observed. The superconducting transition temperature, Tc, of NaCl structure compounds in the series Ag1?xSn1+xSe2 is found to be exceptionally sensitive to hydrostatic pressures up to 21 kbar. For five samples of varying composition, Tc is suppressed smoothly at a rate of ?(6?8)×10?5K·bar?1. These results are discussed with respect to the volume sensitivity of the electron-phonon interaction responsible for superconductivity.  相似文献

Photosynthetic activity of three cryptoendolithic microbial communities was studied under controlled conditions in the laboratory. In two of these communities, the dominant organisms were lichens, collected from Linnaeus Terrace and from Battleship Promontory. The third community, dominated by cyanobacteria, was collected from Battleship Promontory. Both sites are in the ice-free valleys of southern Victoria Land. Previous efforts have shown how physical conditions can influence metabolic activity in endolithic communities (Kappen and Friedmann 1983; Kappen, Friedmann, and Garty 1981; Vestal, Federle, and Friedmann 1984). Biological activity can also be strongly influenced by the chemical environment. Inorganic nutrients such as nitrate, ammonia, and phosphate are often limiting factors, so their effects on photosynthetic carbon-14 bicarbonate incorporation were investigated. Iron and manganese are two metals present in Linnaeus Terrace and Battleship Promontory sandstones, and their effects on photosynthesis were also studied. The results may add to our understanding of biogeochemical interactions within this unique microbial community.  相似文献
