The kinetics of the complexation of NiII by pteroylglutamic acid have been studied in the 545 ∘C range, the ionic strength (0.6 M) being regulated with KNO3, in the 5.5–7.0pH range, using the stopped-flow method. Under the experimental conditions two processes were observed. The faster process was detected in the millisecond range and is associated with the reaction between NiII and the ligand. The slower is observed within a few seconds. Complementary equilibrium studies were made at 25 ∘C. The results are consistent with the formation of a 1:1 complex between the reactants, and a mechanism is proposed to account for the observed behaviour. Equilibrium constants for the NiII plus pteroylglutamic acid system, as well as activation parameters, are reported. A new method for the preparation of Re- and (99m)Tc-metallocarboranes in water under mild reaction conditions was developed. Three nido-carborane ligands were reacted with [Re(CO)(3)Br(3)](2)(-) in the presence of aqueous potassium fluoride to give the corresponding eta(5)-Re(CO)(3)-carborane complexes. The use of KF as a base afforded the desired Re-metallocarboranes in good yields while avoiding the formation of Re clusters, which are byproducts commonly observed when reactions are carried out in the presence of strong aqueous bases. The reaction was also performed at the tracer level producing the first (99m)Tc-carborane complex, which was isolated in 80% radiochemical yield following a simple Sep-Pak purification process. The resulting organometallic complex was stable to cysteine and histidine challenges for more than 24 h.  相似文献

The title phase was synthesized by direct fusion of a stoichiometric amount of the elements followed by annealing at 650 degrees C for 3 weeks. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma (No. 62), Z = 4, with a = 19.451(6) A, b = 12.164(3) A, c = 6.581(1) A. The compound is made up of As(3)Pb(3)(5-) crown clusters that can be likened geometrically and electronically to 6-atom hypho-clusters derived from a tricapped trigonal prismatic closo parent. These crowns are interconnected via intercluster Pb-Pb bonds to form infinite chains along the b axis, which means the compound contains an extra two cations and two electrons per formula unit. Extended Hückel calculations indicate that the two additional electrons per cluster are accommodated in pi states on the cluster and predict that the phase should be semiconducting. The latter is confirmed by microwave resistivity measurements, rho(298) = 1.0 x 10(2) microOmega.cm; (deltarho/deltaT)/rho = -0.14(3) K(-)(1).  相似文献

We report the first coupling of supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) with field ionization time-of-flight high-resolution mass spectrometry (FI-ToF HRMS), in parallel with ultraviolet (UV) detection and flame ionization detection (FID), for rapid and quantitative analysis of petroleum middle distillates. SFC separates petroleum middle distillates into saturates and 1- to 3-ring aromatics. FI generates molecular ions for hydrocarbon species eluted from the SFC. The high resolution and exact mass measurements by ToF mass spectrometry provide elemental compositions of the molecules in the petroleum product. The amounts of saturates and aromatic ring types were quantified using the parallel SFC-FID assisted by SFC-UV. With a proper carbon-number calibration, the detailed composition of the petroleum middle distillate was rapidly determined.  相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to gain insights into the catalytic mechanism of the hydrolysis of epoxides to vicinal diols by soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH). The binding of a substrate, 1S,2S-trans-methylstyrene oxide, was studied in two conformations in the active site of the enzyme. It was found that only one is likely to be found in the active enzyme. In the preferred conformation the phenyl group of the substrate is pi-sandwiched between two aromatic residues, Tyr381 and His523, whereas the other conformation is pi-stacked with only one aromatic residue, Trp334. Two simulations were carried out to 1 ns for each conformation to evaluate the protonation state of active site residue His523. It was found that a protonated histidine is essential for keeping the active site from being disrupted. Long time scale, 4 ns, molecular dynamics simulation was done for the structure with the most likely combination of binding conformation and protonation state of His523. Near Attack Conformers (NACs) are present 5.3% of the time and nucleophilic attack on either epoxide carbon atom, approximately 75% on C(1) and approximately 25% on C(2), is found. A maximum of one hydrogen bond between the epoxide oxygen and either of the active site tyrosines, Tyr465 and Tyr381, is present, in agreement with experimental mutagenesis results that reveal a slight loss in activity if one tyrosine is mutated and essential loss of all activity upon double mutation of the two tyrosines in question. It was found that a hydrogen bond from Tyr465 to the substrate oxygen is essential for controlling the regioselectivity of the reaction. Furthermore, a relationship between the presence of this hydrogen bond and the separation of reactants was found. Two groups of amino acid segments were identified each as moving collectively. Furthermore, an overall anti-correlation was found between the movements of these two individually collectively moving groups, made up by parts of the cap-region, including the two tyrosines, and the site of the catalytic triad, respectively. This overall anti-correlated collective domain motion is, perhaps, involved in the conversion of E.NAC to E.TS.  相似文献

C(alpha)-Formylglycine, the catalytic amino acid residue in the active site of sulfatases, is generated by post-translational modification of a cysteine or serine residue. We describe a highly sensitive procedure for the detection of C(alpha)-formylglycine-containing peptides in tryptic digests of sulfatase proteins. The protocol is based on the formation of hydrazone derivatives of C(alpha)-formylglycine-containing peptides when using dinitrophenylhydrazine as a matrix for matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS). The hydrazone derivatives desorb and ionize with high efficiency and can be detected in the sub-femtomole range. The presence of C(alpha)-formylglycine is indicated by a mass increment of 180.13 u, corresponding to the hydrazone moiety, and also by a unique C-terminal fragment ion, characteristic of sulfatases, that becomes prominent in MALDI post-source decay mass spectra of the hydrazone derivatives.  相似文献

The syntheses, structure solutions, and physicochemical and catalytic characterizations of the novel zeolites SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 are described. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions with the [1-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]trimethyl ammonium cation and 1-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]-1-methyl azocanium cation, respectively, as structure-directing agents. The framework topology of SSZ-53 was solved with the FOCUS method, and the structure of SSZ-59 was determined by model building. Rietveld refinement of synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data confirms each proposed model. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 each possess a one-dimensional channel system delimited by 14-membered rings. Results from transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction, catalytic experiments (spaciousness index and constraint index tests), and argon and hydrocarbon adsorption experiments are consistent with the proposed structures.  相似文献

Complete double photoelectron spectra are presented for 18 small molecules where the location of charges in the cations and dications is relatively clearly defined. The data demonstrate the importance of a coulombic repulsion contribution to the double ionisation energies. Examination of data for a wide range of molecules leads to a new empirical rule to calculate double ionisation energies from the molecules’ single ionisation energies and maximum dimensions. Where single and double ionisation energies are known the rule allows the deduction of plausible intercharge distances.  相似文献

The thermal stability of thiol-passivated gold colloids has been studied by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Different colloids were chemically synthesized with thiol lengths from 3 to 8, and 16 carbon atoms. Depending on the synthesis parameters, the mean gold particle size varied from 1.6 to 4.9 nm for the particular colloid. Temperature-dependent measurements revealed a general tendency of shells with longer thiol chains (>5 carbon atoms) to be more stable in terms of desorption but to show a X-ray radiation-induced damage, which was absent with shorter thiols. Additionally, the self-assembling properties of the colloids were characterized by TEM, showing differences as a function of the chain lengths.  相似文献
