Active noise-reducing (ANR) headsets are available commercially in applications varying from aviation communication to consumer audio. Current ANR systems use passive attenuation at high frequencies and loudspeaker-based active noise control at low frequencies to achieve broadband noise reduction. This paper presents a novel ANR headset in which the external noise transmitted to the user's ear via earshell vibration is reduced by controlling the vibration of the earshell using force actuators acting against an inertial mass or the earshell headband. Model-based theoretical analysis using velocity feedback control showed that current piezoelectric actuators provide sufficient force but require lower stiffness for improved low-frequency performance. Control simulations based on experimental data from a laboratory headset showed that good performance can potentially be achieved in practice by a robust feedback controller, while a single-frequency real-time control experiment verified that noise reduction can be achieved using earshell vibration control.  相似文献

This paper presents a method for the determination of phenylephrine hydrochloride in pharmaceuticals by spectrophotometric flow injection analysis exploiting the reaction with potassium ferricyanide and 4-aminoantipyrine, which leads to the formation of a condensation product with strong absorptivity at 500 nm. The linear dynamic range was between 0.95 and 9 mg/L, with a limit of detection of 0.2 mg/L and a sampling throughput of 120 samples per hour. The method was applied to eyewashes and nasal decongestant liquid medicines.  相似文献

This paper describes the synthesis of indium oxide by a modified sol–gel method, and the study of thermal decomposition of the metal complex in air. The characterization of the intermediate as well as the final compounds was carried out by thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and small angle X-ray scattering. The results show that the indium complex decomposes to In2O3 with the formation of an intermediate compound. Nanoparticles of cubic In2O3 with crystallite sizes in the nanosize range were formed after calcination at temperatures up to 900°C. Calcined materials are characterized by a polydisperse distribution of spherical particles with sharp and smooth surfaces.This revised version was published online in August 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

We have demonstrated that polycondensation reactions can be carried out in a combinatorial fashion and that the polymer library can be screened at high throughput using a rapid prototyping technique to fabricate multiwell substrates. A linearly varying compositional library of 100 different biodegradable polyanhydride random copolymers that are promising carriers for controlled drug delivery was designed, fabricated, and characterized by IR microscopy within a few hours. The polyanhydride copolymer library was based on 1,6-bis(p-carboxyphenoxy)hexane (CPH) and sebacic anhydride (SA) and was characterized with infrared microspectroscopy to determine the composition within each well. Since degradation and release rates depend on copolymer composition, we also developed new high-throughput methods to investigate drug release from this library of copolymers by designing specific wells for each task. A subset of this library was chosen, and a substrate was designed and fabricated to enable the synthesis and monitoring of dye dissolution from a range of polyanhydride copolymers in a parallel fashion using a CCD camera. Multisample substrates were fabricated with a novel rapid prototyping method that consists of an organic solvent-resistant array of 10 x 10 microwells of 2-muL volume each. The libraries were deposited with a custom-built liquid dispensing system consisting of a series of computer-controlled volume-dispensing pumps and XYZ motion stages. The parallel dye dissolution study displayed a decreasing rate of release with increasing CPH content. This result agrees with previously published data for dye release from poly(CPH-co-SA) copolymers. The methodology described in this work is amenable to numerous applications in the arenas of high-throughput polymer synthesis and characterization.  相似文献

A Zn,Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) with Zn/Al = 1.45 and containing nitrate anions was prepared by coprecipitation and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Zn K-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS), thermogravimetric analysis, FTIR and FT Raman spectroscopy, and (27)Al MAS NMR spectroscopy. Three Zn...O and four Zn...M (M = Zn, Al) shells could be fitted to the low-temperature (40 K) EXAFS spectrum, in accordance with a model for an ordered cationic sheet. The nitrate anions were easily exchanged by 2,2'-bipyridine-5,5'-dicarboxylate anions, resulting in an increase in the basal spacing from 9 to 18 A. The basal spacing of the pillared derivative indicates that the anions are arranged with their longest dimension nearly perpendicular to the host layers. This material exhibits a high encapsulating ability, as evidenced by its interaction with a dichloromethane solution of the dioxomolybdenum(VI) complex MoO(2)Cl(2)(THF)(2). A material with a metal loading of 11.2 wt % was obtained. Molybdenum K-edge EXAFS analysis could not substantiate the formation of a supported complex of the type MoO(2)Cl(2)(N-N) but instead indicated the formation of unidentate-bridged entities of the type [O(2)Mo-O-MoO(2)] with a metal-metal separation of 3.29 A. The molybdenum-containing LDH was active as a catalyst for the liquid-phase epoxidation of cis-cyclooctene, 1-octene, and trans-2-octene using tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the oxygen source, yielding the corresponding epoxides as the only products. For reactions carried out with no additional solvent (other than n-decane) or in the presence of 1,2-dichloroethane, the solid catalyst could be recycled with no major loss of activity. Other tests confirmed that the systems functioned as true heterogeneous catalysts.  相似文献

Organolithium compounds play the leading role among the organometallic reagents in synthesis and in industrial processes. Up to date industrial application of methyllithium is limited because it is only soluble in diethyl ether, which amplifies various hazards in large-scale processes. However, most reactions require polar solvents like diethyl ether or THF to disassemble parent organolithium oligomers. If classical bidentate donor solvents like TMEDA (TMEDA= N,N,N',N'tetramethyl-1,2-ethanediamine) or DME (DME=1,2-dimethoxyethane) are added to methyllithium, tetrameric units are linked to form polymeric arrays that suffer from reduced reactivity and/or solubility. In this paper we present two different approaches to tune methyllithium aggregation. In [[(MeLi)4(dem)1,5)infinity] (1; DEM = EtOCH2OEt, diethoxymethane) a polymeric architecture is maintained that forms microporous soluble aggregates as a result of the rigid bite of the methylene-bridged bidentate donor base DEM. Wide channels of 720 pm in diameter in the structure maintain full solubility as they are coated with lipophilic ethyl groups and filled with solvent. In compound 1 the long-range Li3CH3...Li interactions found in solid [[(MeLi)4]infinity] are maintained. A different approach was successful in the disassembly of the tetrameric architecture of [((MeLi)4]infinity]. In the reaction of dilithium triazasulfite both the parent [(MeLi)4] tetramer and the [[Li2[(NtBu)3S]]2] dimer disintegrate and recombine to give an MeLi monomer stabilized in the adduct complex [(thf)3Li3Me-[(NtBu)3S]] (2). One side of the Li3 triangle, often found in organolithium chemistry, is shielded by the tripodal triazasulfite, while the other face is mu3-capped by the methanide anion. This Li3 structural motif is also present in organolithium tetramers and hexamers. All single-crystal structures have been confirmed through solid-state NMR experiments to be the same as in the bulk powder material.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the asymptotics of the Sobolev orthogonal polynomials by comparison with the orthogonal polynomials with respect to the measure μ and we prove that they have the same asymptotic behaviour. We also study the pointwise convergence of the Fourier series associated to this inner product provided that μ is the Jacobi measure. We generalize the work done by F. Marcellán and W. Van Assche where they studied the asymptotics for only one mass point in [−1,1]. The same problem with a finite number of mass points off [−1,1] was solved by G. López, F. Marcellán and W. Van Assche in a more general setting: they consider the constants Mk,i to be complex numbers. As regards the Fourier series, we continue the results achieved by F. Marcellán, B. Osilenker and I.A. We address a multi-objective version of the car sequencing problem, which consists in sequencing a given set of cars to be produced in a single day, minimizing the number of violations of assembly constraints and the number of paint color changes in the production line. We propose a set of heuristics for approximately solving this problem, based on the paradigms of the VNS and ILS metaheuristics, to which further intensification and diversification strategies have been added. Computational results on real-life test instances are reported. The work presented in this paper obtained the second prize in the ROADEF challenge 2005 sponsored by Renault.  相似文献
