The mononuclear +2 oxidation state metal complexes [Au([9]aneS(3))(2)](2+) and [Ag([18]aneS(6))](2+) have been synthesized and characterized crystallographically. The crystal structure of the Au(II) species [Au([9]aneS(3))(2)](BF(4))(2) shows a Jahn-Teller tetragonally distorted geometry with Au-S(1) = 2.839(5), Au-S(2) = 2.462(5), and Au-S(3) = 2.452(5) A. The related Ag(II) complex [Ag([18]aneS(6))](ClO(4))(2) has been structurally characterized at both 150 and 30 K and is the first structurally characterized complex of Ag(II) with homoleptic thioether S-coordination. The single-crystal X-ray structure of [Ag([18]aneS(6))](ClO(4))(2) confirms octahedral homoleptic S(6)-thioether coordination. At 150 K, the structure contains two independent Ag(II)-S distances of 2.569(7) and 2.720(6) A. At 30 K, the structure retains two independent Ag(II)-S distances of 2.615(6) and 2.620(6) A, with the complex cation retaining 3-fold symmetry. The electronic structures of [Au([9]aneS(3))(2)](2+) and [Ag([18]aneS(6))](2+) have been probed in depth using multifrequency EPR spectroscopy coupled with DFT calculations. For [Au([9]aneS(3))(2)](2+), the spectra are complex due to large quadrupole coupling to (197)Au. Simulation of the multifrequency spectra gives the principal g values, hyperfine (A) and quadrupole (P) couplings, and furthermore reveals non-co-incidence of the principal axes of the P tensor with respect to the A and g matrices. These results are rationalized in terms of the electronic and geometric structure and reveal that the SOMO has ca. 30% Au 5d(xy)() character, consistent with DFT calculations (27% Au character). For [Ag([18]aneS(6))](2+), detailed EPR spectroscopic analysis confirms that the SOMO has ca. 26% Ag 4d(xy)() character and DFT calculations are consistent with this result (22% Ag character).  相似文献

The use of a strategy combining ligand design and changes of reaction conditions has been investigated with the goal of directing the assembly of mononuclear, dinuclear, tetranuclear, and polymeric copper(II) complexes. As a result, closely related copper monomers, alkoxo dimers, and hydroxo cubanes, along with a carbonate-bridged polymeric species, have been synthesized using the rigid, aliphatic amino ligands cis-3,5-diamino-trans-hydroxycyclohexane (DAHC), cis-3,5-diamino-trans-methoxycyclohexane (DAMC), and the glutaryl-linked derivative glutaric acid bis-(cis-3,5-diaminocyclohexyl) ester (GADACE). The composition of the monomeric complex has been determined by X-ray crystallography as [Cu(DAHC)2](ClO4)2 (1), the two dimers as [{Cu(DAHC)(OMe)}2](ClO4)2.MeOH (2) and [{Cu(DAMC)(OMe)(ClO4)}2] (3), the three Cu4O4 cubanes as [{Cu(DAHC)(OH)}4](ClO4)(4).2.5MeOH (4), [{Cu(DAMC)(OH)}4](ClO4)4.H2O (5), and [{Cu2(OH)2(GADACE)}2]Cl4.2MeOH.6H2O (6), and an infinite-chain structure as [{Cu(DAHC)(CO3)}n] (7). Furthermore, the cubane structures 4 and 5 have been investigated magnetically. Our studies indicate that formation of the monomeric, dimeric, and tetranuclear DAHC and DAMC complexes can be controlled by small changes in reaction conditions and that further preorganization of the ligand moiety by linking the DAHC cores (GADACE) allows more effective direction of the self-assembly of the Cu4O4 cubane core.  相似文献

A newly synthetized series of N-phenacyl derivatives of 2-mercaptobenzoxazole, including analogues of 5-bromo- and 5,7-dibromobenzoxazole, were screened against Candida strains and the action mechanism was evaluated. 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(4-bromophenyl)ethanone (5d), 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(2,3,4-trichloro-phenyl)ethanone (5i), 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)ethanone (5k) and 2-[(5-bromo-1,3-benzoxazol-2-yl)sulfanyl]-1-phenylethanone (6a) showed anti-C. albicans SC5314 activity, where 5d displayed MICT = 16 µg/mL (%R = 100) and a weak anti-proliferative activity against the clinical strains: C. albicans resistant to azoles (Itr and Flu) and C. glabrata. Derivatives 5k and 6a displayed MICP = 16 µg/mL and %R = 64.2 ± 10.6, %R = 88.0 ± 9.7, respectively, against the C. albicans isolate. Derivative 5i was the most active against C. glabrata (%R = 53.0 ± 3.5 at 16 µg/mL). Benzoxazoles displayed no MIC against C. glabrata. Benzoxazoles showed a pleiotropic action mode: (1) the total sterols content was perturbed; (2) 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)ethanol and 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(2,3,4-trichlorophenyl)ethanol (8h–i) at the lowest fungistatic conc. inhibited the efflux of the Rho123 tracker during the membrane transport process; (3) mitochondrial respiration was affected/inhibited by the benzoxazoles: 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)ethanol and 2-(1,3-benzoxazol-2-ylsulfanyl)-1-(4-bromophenyl)ethanol 8c–d and 8i. Benzoxazoles showed comparable activity to commercially available azoles due to (1) the interaction with exogenous ergosterol, (2) endogenous ergosterol synthesis blocking as well as (3) membrane permeabilizing properties typical of AmB. Benzoxazoles display a broad spectrum of anti-Candida activity and action mode towards the membrane without cross-resistance with AmB; furthermore, they are safe to mammals.  相似文献

Mer-[Cr(pic)3]0 and [Cr(ox)2(pic)]2− undergo successive base hydrolysis to give chromates(III). Dissociation of the first ligand, pic from [Cr(pic)3]0 and ox from [Cr(ox)2(pic)]2−, proceeds in two stages, namely initial chelate-ring opening followed by slower liberation of the monodentate ligand. Kinetics of both the stages were studied spectrophotometrically in 0.2–0.9 M NaOH solution, under pseudo-first-order conditions. The calculated values of k obs were independent of [OH]. A mechanism is proposed, where the formation of intermediates in the hydroxo form prevents the monodentate ligand from undergoing chelate-ring closure. Evidence for the formation of an intermediate with O-bonded picolinate is given. The effects of pH and the complex composition on the reactivity are discussed.  相似文献

Metallic elements such as Ag, Al, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, Pb, Rb, Sr, and Zn were determined using ICP-OES in a representative set of fifteen fruiting bodies of the edible fungus Suillus variegatus. Fruiting bodies were collected from unpolluted areas near the village of Lubichowo of the Bory Tucholskie forest complex in northern Poland in 2007?C2008. The caps were richer in Ag, Al, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, K,Mg, Ni, Rb, and Zn, and the stipes in Ba, Ca, Mn, Na, Pb, and Sr. Cobalt concentration in the caps and stipes was similar. In the caps, the content of the elements decreased in the order (mg per kg of dry weight): K 29000 ± 3700, Fe 1600 ± 80, Mg 990 ± 110, Rb 320 ± 86, Zn 90 ± 19, Ca 75 ± 34, Al 68 ± 32, Na 40 ± 18, Cu 19 ± 7, Mn 13 ± 7, Cd 1.0 ± 0.5, Ni 0.64 ± 0.32, Ag 0.40 ± 0.20, Cr 0.33 ± 0.06, Pb 0.20 ± 0.17, Ba 0.19 ± 0.11, Sr 0.15 ± 0.09, and Co 0.070 ± 0.050. Apparently, S. variegatus collected from background areas are relatively low in Pb and Cd and so are suitable for human consumption.  相似文献

Results of experimental analysis concerning gas hold-up and average residence time of gas bubbles in a three-phase gas-solid-liquid system produced in a baffled, double-impeller vessel are presented. Measurements were carried out in a vessel with the internal diameter of 0.288 m. Two different double-impeller configurations were used for agitation: Rushton turbine (lower) — A 315 (upper) and Rushton turbine (lower) — HE 3 (upper). Upper impellers differed in the fluid pumping mode. Coalescing and non-coalescing systems were tested. Liquid phases were distilled water (coalescing system) and aqueous solutions of NaCl (non-coalescing systems). The ability of gas bubbles to coalesce in the liquid was described using parameter Y. Dispersed phases were air and particles of sea sand. The experiments were conducted at seven different gas flow rates and two particle loadings. Effects of the ability of gas bubbles to coalesce (liquid phase properties), operating parameters (superficial gas velocity, impeller speed, solids loadings), and of the type of the impeller configuration on the investigated parameters were determined. The results were approximated mathematically. For both impeller configurations tested, significantly higher gas hold-up values were obtained in the non-coalescing gas-solid-liquid systems compared to the coalescing one. Out of the tested impeller systems, the RT-A 315 configuration proved to have better performance ensuring good gas dispersion in the liquid in the three-phase systems.  相似文献

The following chromium(III) complexes with serine (Ser) and aspartic acid (Asp) were obtained and characterized in solution: [Cr(ox)2(Aa)]2− (where Aa = Ser or Asp), [Cr(AspH−1)2] and [Cr(ox)(Ser)2]. In acidic solutions, [Cr(ox)2(Aa)]2− undergoes acid-catalysed aquation to cis-[Cr(ox)2(H2O)2] and the appropriate amino acid. [Cr(ox)(Ser)2] undergoes consecutive acid-catalysed Ser liberation to give [Cr(ox)(H2O)4]+, and the [Cr(Asp)2] ion is converted into [Cr(Asp)(H2O)4]2+. Kinetics of these reactions were studied under isolation conditions. The determined rate expressions for all the reactions are of the form: k obs = a + b[H+]. Reaction mechanisms are proposed, and the meaning of the determined parameters has been established. Evidence for the formation of an intermediate with O-monodentate amino acid is given. The effect of the R-substituent at the α-carbon atom of the amino acid on the complex reactivity is discussed.  相似文献

One of the most toxic byproducts of nuclear power and weapons production is the transuranics, which have a high radiotoxicity and long biological half-life due to their tendency to accumulate in the skeletal system. This accumulation is inhomogeneous and has been associated with the chemical properties and structure of the bone material rather than its location or function. This suggests a chemical driving force to incorporation and requires an atomic scale mechanistic understanding of the incorporation process. Here we propose a new incorporation mechanism for trivalent actinides and lanthanides into synthetic and biologically produced hydroxyapatite. Time-resolved laser fluorescence spectroscopy and extended X-ray absorption fine structure have been used to demonstrate that trivalent actinides and lanthanides incorporate into the amorphous grain boundaries of apatite. This incorporation site can be used to explain patterns in uptake and distribution of radionuclides in the mammalian skeletal system.  相似文献

The studies in Danio rerio testis were performed during the 8 weeks between the first and second spawning. The testes were dissected from the animals and fixed after successive weeks. Semithin epon sections were analysed using stereological methods to assess the relative volumes of cysts containing successive stages of spermatogenesis. During the first three weeks the cysts with spermatogonia B have the highest relative volumes. At the 2nd week the first cysts with spermatocytes appear. At the 4th week the first cysts containing early spermatids are formed. During the 4th, 5th and the 6th weeks of the gonad cycle cysts containing spermatocytes I are the most numerous but one can also see volumes of cysts filled with late spermatids and sperm cells growing. In the 7th week of the cycle the volumes of cysts containing early spermatids as well as those containing late spermatids are very large. Many cysts have released completely formed sperm cells into the tubule lumen. In the 8th week of the gonad cycle the testis tubules are filled with sperm cells. In many places the tubule walls break off and join to make vast chambers filled with sperm. Therefore, the germinal epithelium of the D. rerio testis at this stage turns into a "discontinuous" type.  相似文献
