Fluorescence spectroscopy of the endogenous emission of brain tumors has been researched as a potentially important method for the intraoperative localization of brain tumor margins. We investigated the use of time‐resolved, laser‐induced fluorescence spectroscopy for demarcation of primary brain tumors by studying the time‐resolved spectra of gliomas. The fluorescence of human brain samples (glioblastoma multiforme, cortex and white matter: six patients, 23 sites) was induced ex vivo with a pulsed nitrogen laser (337 nm, 3 ns). The time‐resolved spectra were detected in a 360–550 nm wavelength range using a fast digitizer and gated detection. Parameters derived from both the spectral‐ (intensities from narrow spectral bands) and the time domain (average lifetime) measured at 390 and 460 nm were used for tissue characterization. We determined that high‐grade gliomas are characterized by fluorescence lifetimes that varied with the emission wavelength (>3 ns at 390 nm, <1 ns at 460 nm) and their emission is overall longer than that of normal brain tissue. Our study demonstrates that the use of fluorescence lifetime not only improves the specificity of fluorescence measurements but also allows a more robust evaluation of data collected from brain tissue. Combined information from both the spectraland the time domain can enhance the ability of fluorescencebased techniques to diagnose and detect brain tumor margins intraoperatively.  相似文献

Crystals of the title compound, [Cu2(C10H9NO3)2(H2O)2]·2CH4N2O, consist of two (N‐salicyl­idene‐β‐alaninato‐κ3O,N,O′)copper(II) coordination units bridged by two water moieties to form a dimer residing on a crystallographic inversion center, along with two uncoordinated urea mol­ecules. The CuII atom has square‐pyramidal coordination, with three donor atoms of the tridentate Schiff base and an O atom of the bridging aqua ligand in the basal plane. The axial position is occupied by the second bridging water ligand at a distance of 2.5941 (18) Å. Hydro­gen bonds between mol­ecules of urea and the neighboring dimer units lead to the formation of a two‐dimensional grid of mol­ecules parallel to [101]. The superposition of the normals of the pyramidal base planes in the direction [100] indicates possible π–π interactions between the neighboring units.  相似文献

The title compound, C21H24FN2O2+·Cl·C3H8O, is a potential drug designed as a hybrid compound with antihypertensive, antioxidant and β‐adrenolytic activity. The cation contains nearly planar benzo­furan and fluoro­phenyl ring systems, as well as a piperazine ring adopting an almost perfect chair conformation. The benzo­furan and piperazine moieties are connected by an ethyl chain, the moieties forming a dihedral angle of 163.12 (13)°. In the crystal structure, ions and propanol solvent mol­ecules are linked via N—H⋯Cl and O—H⋯Cl bonds into linear (010) chains.  相似文献

The chlorogenic acids of Gardeniae Fructus used traditionally as a Chinese herbal medicine (zhizi) have been investigated qualitatively by liquid chromatography/multi-stage mass spectrometry (LC/MS(4)). Twenty-nine chlorogenic acids were detected and twenty-five characterised to regioisomer level on the basis of their fragmentation, twenty-four for the first time from this source. Assignment to the level of individual regioisomers was possible for three caffeoylquinic acids, three dicaffeoylquinic acids, three sinapoylquinic acids, four caffeoyl-sinapoylquinic acids, two feruloyl-sinapoylquinic acids, one p-coumaroyl-sinapoylquinic acid, three (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroylquinic acids, two (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroyl-feruloylquinic acids, one (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroyl-dicaffeoylquinic acid, and one (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroyl-caffeoyl-feruloylquinic acid. Six (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroyl-caffeoylquinic acids were detected and two were tentatively assigned as 3-caffeoyl-4-(3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroylquinic acid and 3-caffeoyl-5-(3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroylquinic acid. The (3-hydroxy, 3-methyl)glutaroyl residue modifies the mass spectral fragmentation behavior and elution sequence compared with the chlorogenic acids that contain only a cinnamic acid residue(s). Fourteen of these twenty-nine chlorogenic acids have not previously been reported from any source.  相似文献

The synthesis of selenium derivatives of naturally occurring chiral molecules is becoming increasingly important in recent years. In this context, we describe herein an easy, straightforward synthetic route for the preparation of a series of chiral seleno-furanosides, starting from the readily available carbohydrate d-xylose. In addition, selected compounds were screened as inhibitors of the δ-aminolevulinate dehydratase (δ-ALA-D) enzyme. Diselenide 4 was found to reduce significantly the enzymatic activity, while seleno-furanoside 1a increased δ-ALA-D activity.  相似文献

The cationic cluster complexes [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L1 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 1 +; HL1 Me=N‐methylpyrazinium), [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L2 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 2 +; HL2 Me=N‐methylquinoxalinium), and [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L3 Me)(CO)10]+ ( 3 +; HL3 Me=N‐methyl‐1,5‐naphthyridinium), which contain cationic N‐heterocyclic ligands, undergo one‐electron reduction processes to become short lived, ligand‐centered, trinuclear, radical species ( 1 – 3 ) that end in the formation of an intermolecular C? C bond between the ligands of two such radicals, thus leading to neutral hexanuclear derivatives. These dimerization processes are selective, in the sense that they only occur through the exo face of the bridging ligands of trinuclear enantiomers of the same configuration, as they only afford hexanuclear dimers with rac structures (C2 symmetry). The following are the dimeric products that have been isolated by using cobaltocene as reducing agent: [Ru6(μ‐H)26‐κ4N2,C2‐(L1 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 5 ; from 1 +), [Ru6(μ‐H)26‐κ4N2,C2‐(L2 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 6 ; from 2 +), and [Ru6(μ‐H)24‐κ8N2,C6‐(L3 Me)2}(CO)18] ( 7 ; from 3 +). The structures of the final hexanuclear products depend on the N‐heterocyclic ligand attached to the starting materials. Thus, although both trinuclear subunits of 5 and 6 are face‐capped by their bridging ligands, the coordination mode of the ligand of 5 is different from that of the ligand of 6 . The trinuclear subunits of 7 are edge‐bridged by its bridging ligand. In the presence of moisture, the reduction of 3 + with cobaltocene also affords a trinuclear derivative, [Ru3(μ‐H)(μ‐κ2N,C‐L3′ Me)(CO)10] ( 8 ), whose bridging ligand (L3′ Me) results from the formal substitution of an oxygen atom for the hydrogen atom (as a proton) that in 3 + is attached to the C6 carbon atom of its heterocyclic ligand. The results have been rationalized with the help of electrochemical measurements and DFT calculations, which have also shed light on the nature of the odd‐electron species, 1 – 3 , and on the regioselectivity of their dimerization processes. It seems that the sort of coupling reactions described herein requires cationic complexes with ligand‐based LUMOs.  相似文献

The complexation of the natural antioxidants α‐lipoic acid (ALA) and its reduced form dihydrolipoic acid (DHLA) with Hg2+ was investigated by a recently proposed differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) method using the rotating Au‐disk electrode. Complexation processes are proposed from the multivariate curve resolution by alternating least squares (MCR‐ALS) analysis of DPV titration data. Main complexes were both 1 : 1 Hg : ALA and Hg : DHLA, although the formation of 1 : 2 complexes can be also deduced. ALA and DHLA show different Hg2+‐binding patterns at different pH. Voltammetric findings are completed with the data obtained by electrospray ionization mass‐spectrometry (ESI‐MS), especially in negative mode.  相似文献

A comprehensive characterization of the electronic spectral and photophysical properties of the leuco (reduced) form of several indigo derivatives, including indigo and Tyrian Purple, with di‐, tetra‐, and hexa‐substitution, was obtained in solution. The characterization involves absorption, fluorescence, and triplet–triplet absorption spectra, together with quantitative measurements of quantum yields of fluorescence, ?F (0.46–0.04), intersystem crossing, ?T (0.013–0.034), internal conversion, ?IC, and the corresponding lifetimes. The position and degree of substitution promote differences in the spectral and photophysical properties displayed by the investigated leuco derivatives. The ?F values are about two orders of magnitude higher than those previously obtained for the corresponding keto forms. Also in contrast with the behavior found for the keto forms, the S1~~→T1 intersystem crossing is an efficient route for the excited‐state deactivation channel. These findings strengthen the fact that, in contrast to keto indigo where the internal conversion dominates the deactivation of the excited‐state, with leuco indigo (and derivatives), the excited state deactivation involves competition between internal conversion, triplet state formation, and fluorescence. A time‐resolved investigation of one of the compounds in glycerol showed the presence of a photoisomerization process.  相似文献
