The structural and solvent effects on the electronic absorption and fluorescence spectra, and fluorescence quantum yields, of four new fused benzothiophene derivatives, including benzothieno[3,2b]-thiophene (BTT), benzothieno[3,2-b]benzothiophene (BTBT), 6-methoxy[1]benzothieno[3,2b]-thiophene (MeOBTT), and benzothieno[3,2-b]indole (BTI) were investigated at 295 K. The luminescence properties of the corresponding conductive oligomers, poly(BTT) and poly (MeOBTT), electrosynthesized in acetonitrile, were also studied. Satisfactory McRae, Suppan, and Kawski-Chamma-Viallet solvatochromic correlations were established for the four monomers in most solvents. A weak negative solvatochromic behavior was found for these compounds, indicating that their dipole moments are slightly lower in the excited singlet state than in the ground state. Kamlet-Abboud-Taft multiparametric correlations were also obtained for absorption and fluorescence wave numbers and quantum yields, demonstrating the existence of specific solute-solvent interactions. In the case of the oligomers, important red-shifts of the fluorescence emission maxima ( 90–110 nm) relative to the corresponding monomers were observed, which shows the extent of conjugated segments in the oligomer chains.  相似文献

This paper deals with the optimal allocation of resources in the production of human capital; i.e. the stock of knowledge of students has to be maximized subject to a limited budget. The optimal training intensity over time is obtained using optimal control theory. Considering various types of production functions (of human capital), the question of whether resources should be concentrated in early grades or not is investigated. The results are illustrated in special cases where monotonicity results for the training intensity can be obtained. Optimal construction of quantum operations is a fundamental problem in the realization of quantum computation. We here introduce a newly discovered quantum gate, B, that can implement any arbitrary two-qubit quantum operation with minimal number of both two- and single-qubit gates. We show this by giving an analytic circuit that implements a generic nonlocal two-qubit operation from just two applications of the B gate. Realization of the B gate is illustrated with an example of charge-coupled superconducting qubits for which the B gate is seen to be generated in shorter time than the CNOT gate.  相似文献

The repetition rate and carrier-envelope phase offset frequencies of a turnkey, all-fiber-based continuum generator were phase locked to a hydrogen maser. The frequency of the hydrogen maser was calibrated with a highly stable cesium atomic clock, and therefore a fully phase-locked optical frequency comb with well-defined absolute frequencies was obtained. In contrast with the commonly used Ti:sapphire-laser-based systems, we have accomplished a fully turnkey system with no user-adjustable parts. To evaluate the performance of this novel system, we performed absolute frequency measurements in the telecommunications region and at 1064 nm and compared them with our traditional Ti:sapphire-based comb.  相似文献

We demonstrate ultrahigh-resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) using continuum generation in an air-silica microstructure fiber as a low-coherence light source. A broadband OCT system was developed and imaging was performed with a bandwidth of 370 nm at a 1.3-mu;m center wavelength. Longitudinal resolutions of 2.5 microm in air and ~2 microm in tissue were achieved. Ultrahigh-resolution imaging in biological tissue in vivo was demonstrated.  相似文献

A plenty of different programming techniques and instrument solutions are used in the development of Mössbauer spectrometers. Each of them should provide a faster spectrum accumulation process, increased productivity of measurements, decreased nonlinearity of the velocity scale, etc. The well known virtual instrumentation programming method has been used to design a computer-based Mössbauer spectrometer. Hardware solution was based on two commercially-available PCI modules produced by National Instruments Co. Virtual Mössbauer spectrometer is implemented by the graphical programming language LabVIEW 7 Express. This design environment allows to emulate the multichannel analyzer on the digital oscilloscope platform. This is a novel method based on Waveform Peak Detection function which allows detailed analysis of the acquired signal. The optimal treatment of the detector signal from various detector types is achieved by mathematical processing only. As a result, the possibility of an increase of signal/noise ratio is presented.  相似文献
