Reactions of 10-benzo[h]quinolyllithium with a series of organosilanes led to the formation of neutral pentacoordinate complexes. The diethynyl-substituted complex was able to be converted to di(arylethynyl)-substituted ones by the Sonogashira-Hagihara coupling reaction. The dynamics of homogeneous, isotropic turbulence seeded with finite sized particles or bubbles is investigated in a series of numerical simulations, using the force-coupling method for the particle phase and low wavenumber forcing of the flow to sustain the turbulence. Results are given on the modulation of the turbulence due to massless bubbles, neutrally buoyant particles and inertial particles of specific density 1.4 at volumetric concentrations of 6%. Buoyancy forces due to gravity are excluded to emphasize finite size and inertial effects for the bubbles or particles and their interactions with the turbulence. Besides observing the classical entrapment of bubbles and the expulsion of inertial particles by vortex structures, we analyze the Lagrangian statistics for the velocity and acceleration of the dispersed phase. The turbulent fluctuations are damped at mid-range wavenumbers by the bubbles or particles while the small-scale kinetic energy is significantly enhanced. Unexpectedly, the modulation of turbulence depends only slightly on the dispersion characteristics (bubble entrapment in vortices or inertial sweeping of the solid particles) but is closely related to the stresslet component (finite size effect) of the flow disturbances. The pivoting wavenumber characterizing the transition from damped to enhanced energy content is shown to vary with the size of the bubbles or particles. The spectrum for the energy transfer by the particle phase is examined and the possibility of representing this, at large scales, through an additional effective viscosity is discussed. 相似文献

Many Primary Four students (fourth graders) in Singapore have difficulties initiating or persevering in the problem-solving process even though the curriculum has focused on problem solving since 1992. This study served to examine the role of metacognition in self-regulated problem solving. The study, a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design involving a convenience sample of 63 students from two intact mixed-ability Primary Four classes, examined the impact of using a metacognitive scheme that focuses on the understanding and planning stages of Pòlya’s four-stage approach on students’ mathematical problem-solving behavior, performance and attitudes. The findings revealed that the metacognitive-based scheme had a positive impact on students’ understanding of the problem posed, solution planning, confidence in and personal control of problem-solving behavior and emotions. It had also helped them to initiate and persevere in the problem-solving process to achieve a higher level of problem-solving success. Limitations and instructional implications are discussed. 相似文献

The synthesis and properties of α-sulfo carboxyl disodium salt (SCDS) were studied in detail for the first time in this paper. SCDS was synthesized via saponification reaction of fatty acid methyl ester sulfonate sodium (MES). FT-IR was used to characterize the molecular structure of target product. The yield of disodium salt was greater than 98% by two-phase titration. The performance of SCDS was studied and was compared with raw materials MES, conventional anionic surfactant AES and nonionic surfactant AEO9. The result shows SCDS can reduce the surface tension of the solution to 27.89?mN/m at critical micelle concentration (CMC). The wetting ability of SCDS was significantly enhanced with the increase of temperature. The emulsification effect of SCDS on the soybean oil is better than that on the liquid paraffin. Surprisingly, SCDS has a good foamability and foaming stability. 相似文献

A novel method is described for the determination of cobalt(II) by differential pulse voltammetry, based on accumulation of a cobalt complex, [CoSCNNO]+, on a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by measurement of the catalytic current of the adsorbed complex. The effects of various experimental parameters on the catalytic current were investigated. The current was found to be linear for 0.3 nM to 100 nM Co, with a detection limit of 70 pM (4.1 ng l−1) and a relative standard deviation of 1.6% for 50 nM Co (n = 25). The developed method showed considerable selectivity against nickel and zinc. A possible mechanism of the reduction process is proposed. 相似文献

A surface-bound acetone enolate species has been synthesized on Ni(111) between 260 and 340 K by two different routes catalyzed by surface Ni and O atoms: deprotonation of acetone and deacetylation of acetylacetone. The reaction pathways and surface species have been identified using reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS) in combination with isotopic substitution and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Acetone enolate exhibits characteristic vibrational absorption bands at 1260, 1353, and 1545 cm-1 arising from mixed modes that involve CC stretching, CH3 bending, and CO stretching. This work conclusively proves the existence of stable acetone enolate species on a metal single-crystal surface and provides its first detailed characterization. 相似文献

Zr55Cu30Ni5Al10 alloys with different amounts of hydrogen have been prepared by arc melting under the gaseous mixture of hydrogen and argon. Proper additions of hydrogen have been proved to effectively increase the glass-forming ability (GFA) of this alloy. Positive effect of hydrogen on GFA has been interpreted from the thermodynamic and structural points of view. Proper additions of hydrogen can decrease the liquidus temperature, which leads to more stable glass-forming liquid. Structure analysis by positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy shows that proper additions of hydrogen can increase the concentration of shortest open volume and decrease the concentration of intermediate and largest open volumes. This leads to formation of a denser random packed structure, and thus increases the GFA of Zr55Cu30Ni5Al10 alloys. 相似文献
