[structure: see text] A synthetic strategy promising the establishment of a new star-shaped and linear polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) family with distinct molecular topologies has been developed. The Sonogashira reaction between the iodide derivatives 2a-e and phenylacetylene catalyzed with Pd(0) affords 3a-e in high yields. The Diels-Alder and decarbonylation reactions between 3a-e and tetraphenylcyclophentadiene following the oxidation by FeCl(3) produce the star-shaped and linear PAHs 5a-e containing a five-membered ring. The structural analysis and the optical properties of all new compounds are performed by a combination of MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, UV-vis, and fluorescence spectrometry. The electronic and photophysical properties are studied by orthogonal comparisons of the absorption and fluorescence spectra in THF solutions, which not only give insight into the interactions among aromatic submoieties in each molecule and the effects of meta-conjugation and para-conjugation on electronic delocalization, but also indicate effective conjugation length variations from oligophenylacetylenes 3a-e to oligophenylene dendrimers 4a-e and PAHs 5a-e. The photodissociation of methyl iodide in various matrices at low temperature was studied. The observed Raman spectra excited by 514.5 nm laser radiation showed that there were two different photolytically produced iodine species isolated in the matrices after illumination by a medium pressure mercury lamp. One species which was dominant at lower iodine concentrations and exhibited a progression with an ωe of 201 cm?1, belonged to the matrix isolated iodine monomer (I2). The other species, which was dominant at higher iodine concentrations with an ωe of approximately 180 cm?1, belonged to the iodine aggregate ((I2)n). Five progressions of resonance Raman or resonance fluorescence of these two species were also observed in the other matrices. The iodine aggregate in the methyl iodide matrix at 77 K was formed in a crystalline structure, while the photolytically generated iodine aggregate from CH3I/Ar (2/3) matrix at 10 K, after illumination with a mercury lamp, was in amorphous form. The rearrangement of photolytically produced iodine aggregate in methyl iodide matrix was observed as a function of the duration of illumination. Local heating effects of the laser radiation might induce the iodine monomer to aggregate in matrices. The photodissociation mechanism of methyl iodide in matrices is also proposed. 相似文献

To study the catalysis of isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) isomerase type II from Staphylococcus aureus, which is a flavoprotein catalyzing the interconversion of IPP and dimethylallyl diphosphate, we have chemically synthesized (S)- and (R)-[2-2H]IPP and carried out stereochemical analysis of the reaction. Our results show that the C-2 deprotonation of IPP by this enzyme is pro-R stereospecific, suggesting a similar stereochemical course as the type I enzyme. 相似文献

Single crystals of {[Cu(TO)2(H2O)2](NO3)2}n (TO: 1, 2, 4‐triazol‐5‐one) were grown by slow evaporation from aqueous solution. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, with a = 7.082(1), b = 10.285(1), c = 17.911(3)Å, V = 1304.6(3)Å3, Z = 4. The CuII distorted octahedra are bridged by bidentate TO ligands into infinite 2‐D interlaced rhombic grid‐like network planes, {[Cu(TO)2(H2O)2]2+}n. Hydrogen bonds, electrostatic interactions, and weak van der Waals' forces assemble these planes and the NO3— anions to a layered structure. The title compound decomposes at 153.4 °C to the final products, Cu(CN)2 and CuO. 相似文献

Silica-based, tentacular weak cation-exchanger particles were prepared for use as the stationary phase in the separation of positively charged sample components by capillary electrochromatography (CEC). Silica beads were first silanized with 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate that served as a heterobifunctional linker, which reacted with 2-acrylarmidoglycolic acid in a second step by radical polymerization in aqueous solution. Baseline separation of basic peptides with good column efficiency was obtained on packed capillary columns by isocratic elution CEC with NaCl as the mobile phase modulator. The retention mechanism in the electrochromatographic process was studied by examining the effect of salt concentration on the migration behavior of the peptides. The chromatographic retention factor k'(lc) for charged sample components in the electrochromatographic process was estimated on the assumption that the overall migration rate of a charged migrant can be taken as the sum of the rate of chromatographic elution and the rate of electrophoretic migration. The estimated k(lc) values from experimental results were plotted against the molal salt concentration on a double logarithmic scale. The linear correlation is in good agreement with the prediction by the theory on the basis of traditional ion-exchange chromatography. The comparison of CEC results, obtained with open tubular and packed capillary columns having the same retentive functions as the stationary phase, supports the notion that variation of the phase ratio in the column offers an additional means to modulate the electrochromatographic migration behavior. 相似文献

A new general synthesis of 4,5-disubstituted 2,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiones is proposed. These heterocycles are obtained by the action of primary amines, arylhydrazines or aroylhydrazines on the thiosemicarbazones of eaters. These last compounds are prepared by action of chlorhydrates of iminoethers on thiosemicarbazide in dimethylformamide. These thiosemicarbazones react also with strong acids, acid anhydrides and chlorides; by thermolysis and they give 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives. The phototoxicity of cyamemazine (CMZ, Tercian), a neuroleptic of the phenothiazine family, has recently been reported in humans. CMZ has an absorbance maximum at 267 nm (molar absorptivity, 25,800 M(-1) cm(-1)) but a weaker molar absorptivity in the ultraviolet A (UV-A) region. CMZ exhibits a fluorescence with maximum emission at 535 nm and a quantum yield of 0.11. CMZ is a powerful photosensitizing agent toward HS 68 human skin fibroblasts and NCTC 2544 keratinocytes. At a UV-A radiation dose of 10 J/cm2, innocuous to cells in the absence of CMZ, the LD50 (lethal dose corresponding to 50% killing) are 0.5 and 1 microM for the fibroblasts and the keratinocytes, respectively, after overnight incubation with the drug. Short incubation times do not significantly alter the LD50. The CMZ-induced phototoxicity is accompanied by lipid membrane peroxidation consistent with the amphiphilic character of this photosensitizer. Keratinocytes are an order of magnitude less sensitive to the photosensitized lipid peroxidation than fibroblasts. Microspectrofluorometry reveals that lysosomal membranes are major sites of CMZ incorporation into the two cell lines because a Forster-type resonance energy transfer process occurs from CMZ to LysoTracker Red DND99 (LTR), a specific fluorescent probe of lysosomal membranes. The CMZ-photosensitized destruction of LTR demonstrates that CMZ retains its photosensitizing capacity after its lysosomal uptake. 相似文献
