The magnetic properties of Be-codoped GaMnN grown via molecular beam epitaxy

GaMnN and Be-codoped GaMnN were grown via molecular beam epitaxy using a single GaN precursor and their structural and magnetic properties were examined. X-ray diffraction and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) measurements revealed that the grown layers are homogeneous without precipitates. The saturation magnetization of GaMnN has increased from ∼4 to ∼16 emu/cm³ via codoping of Be. The d–d exchange interaction between Mn atoms was discussed for the ferromagnetism of GaMnN.     

Clathrate formation in the tetraisoamylammonium propionate-water system

In this paper we examine clathrate formation in the tetraisoamylammonium propionate-water binary system. We have found formation of four polyhydrates, two of which are metastable over the whole temperature range studied. All polyhydrate crystals were isolated and their compositions and densities determined; for (i-C₅H₁₁)₄NC₂H₅COO·36.5H₂O, unit cell parameters were additionally found. The results are compared with data for tetra-n-butylammonium carboxylate polyhydrates, and the structure of the title compounds is suggested. It is confirmed that the isoamyl radical stabilizes the tetradecahedral void of the clathrate hydrate framework better than the n-butyl radical. Application of hydroacoustic radiators for the generation of seismic waves

To excite seismic waves with a high coherence, powerful hydroacoustic radiators placed in a natural reservoir were used. Theoretical estimates and the test data demonstrate a high efficiency of the proposed method of seismic wave excitation. The calculations are in good agreement with the results of measurements. The results of phasing the radiation with the use of two monopole sources separated by a quarter-wave distance are presented. It is shown that the use of the proposed scheme of excitation makes it possible to control the radiation pattern while obtaining a high coherence of seismic waves.     

Patterned uniformly orientated silicon nanocrystallite films and efficient field emission characteristics

Patterned uniformly (100)-orientated silicon nanocrystallite (SiNC) films were fabricated based on hydrogen ion implantation technique and typical electrochemical anodic etching method. The surface morphology and microstructure characteristics of the films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and atomic force microscopy. The efficient field emission with low turn-on field of about 3.2 V/μm at current density of 0.1 μA/cm² was obtained. The emission current density from the SiNC films reached 1 mA/cm² under a bias field of about 11 V/μm. The experimental results demonstrate that the SiNC films have great potential applications for flat panel displays.     

半线性椭圆方程正解的存在性及熄灭现象

本文在环形域上证明了带有奇异性的半线性椭圆方程边值问题(1)、(2·)在C~2(Ω)∩C~0(Ω)中正解的存在性,且这个解是径向对称的,解关于R_0(R_1)的连续单调性.还给出了解有熄灭现象的充分必要条件.     

Periodic solutions of second-order quasilinear hyperbolic equations
