Reception of a Signal with Unknown Duration

The maximum likely and optimal (Bayesian) algorithms for detecting an arbitrary-shaped signal observed against the background of Gaussian white noise and for measuring the duration are synthesized. Exact expressions for the characteristics of the maximum likely algorithms are found. The characteristics of the Bayesian algorithms are obtained using computer simulations.     

Spontaneous formation of a system of highly ordered germanium nanoislands upon epitaxial deposition on profiled (111) silicon substrates under electromigration conditions

Atomic-force microscopy was used to study the surface topography of SiGe structures grown by epitaxial deposition of Ge on profiled Si(111) substrates under electromigration conditions. Systems of highly ordered germanium nanosized islands with dimensions of 10–20 nm and a density of 6×10¹⁰ cm^?2 were obtained. It is shown that the geometrical parameters of self-organizing nanoislands can be controlled by a proper choice of the growth and postgrowth annealing conditions for these structures.     

Fermi surface and thermoelectric power of (Bi1−x Sbx)2Te3<Ag, Sn> mixed crystals

The Fermi surface anisotropy of (Bi_1?x Sb_x)₂Te₃ single crystals (0.25 ≤ x ≤ 1) was studied by analyzing the angular dependence of the frequency of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations and the effect of tin and silver doping on the thermoelectric power in these crystals in the temperature range 77 ≤ T ≤ 300 K. It was shown that silver doping of (Bi_1?x Sb_x)₂Te₃ mixed crystals produces acceptors, while silver in Bi₂Te₃ acts as a donor. Tin also exhibits acceptor properties. Both tin and silver doping of p-(Bi_1?x Sb_x)₂Te₃ mixed crystals decrease the thermoelectric power due to an increase in the hole concentration.     

Effect of Notoginsenoside-Rg1 on the Expression of Several Proteins in the Striatum of Rat Models with Parkinson＇s Disease

After establishing hemi-Parkinsonian rat models, the relationships between neuron death and the expression of several proteins, such as c-Fos, GFAP, GDNF, NF-κB and some cytokines were determined. Therapeutics experiments with notoginsenoside-Rg1 were carried out. The research results show that the expressions of GFAP, NF-Kκ and c-Fos will obviously increase in the lesion side of the striatum and the expression of GDNF will decrease, which implies that the signal transduction pathway may participate in the apoptosis in neurons. The levels of some cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β in the striatum of PD rat models increased compared to those of normal rats. The results of the therapeutics experiments show that notoginsenoside-Rg1 may repress the immune inflammation response and regulate the immune function through the neuro-immune molecular network. Therefore, notoginsenoside-Rg1 can be used as an effective drug for anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation, and can be used in the therapy of Parkinson＇s disease（PD）.     

19F+27Al耗散反应中双核系统的转动与形变

测量了¹⁹F+²⁷Al耗散反应产物B,C,N,O,F和Ne的激发函数,入射束流的能量从110.25MeV到118.75MeV, 能量步长为250keV. 从产物的 能量自关联函数中提取了反应中所形成的中间双核系统的转动惯量, 与相粘模型计算的刚体转动惯量相比较, 结果表明形成的双核系统有大的形变.

High energy quantum teleportation using neutral kaons

We describe a scheme of stochastic implementations of quantum teleportation and entanglement swapping in terms of neutral kaons. In this scheme, the kaon whose state is to be teleported collides with one of the two entangled kaons in an Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen state. Subsequent detection of the outgoing particles of the collision completes the two-qubit projection on Alice side. There appear novel features, which connects quantum information science with fundamental laws of particle physics.     

On an evasion problem on a semi-infinite interval for a class of controlled distributed systems

In this paper, we study an evasion problem in systems described by equations of parabolic type. We consider four versions of constraints on the control parameters.     

Laser-induced breakdown threshold and fracture versus the nanostructure of two-phase glass

The radiation hardness and mechanical strength of single-and two-phase glasses are studied for the case when nanosecond laser pulses (λ= 1.06 μm, τ_0.5 ≈ 12.5 ns) are focused inside the material. Laser interferometry is applied to measure the displacement of the free surface, find optical breakage thresholds, and carry out the fractographic analysis of damaged regions. It is shown that breakdown channels and damage regions develop in a nonlinear manner according to optical breakdown mechanisms, changing each other with an increase in the laser energy. The strength of the two-phase glass is found to be more than four times that of the single-phase glass, although their elastic properties differ insignificantly. Such a considerable difference in the hardness of these materials with chemically similar constitutents is attributed to the presence of the double-lattice nanometer-scale structure of the two-phase glass.
