Aqueous p-nitrotoluene oxidation induced with direct glow discharge plasma

A plasma induced degradation process has been studied to treat 4-nitrotoluene (4-NT) present as an aqueous pollutant. The plasma was locally generated from a glow discharge around a tip of a platinum anode in an electrolytic solution. The influence of initial pH and Fe²⁺ on the degradation was examined. Major intermediates resulting from the degradation process were identified. Amongst the aromatic intermediates, p-hydroxybenzoic acid was the predominant degradation product. The formation of oxalic acid, malic acid was also observed. The final products of degradation were NH ₄ ⁺ , NO ₃ ⁻ and CO₂. Based on the analysis of intermediates and the kinetic considerations, the degradation was shown to follow a pseudo-first order reaction hence, a possible reaction pathway was proposed.     

Fluorescent sensors for the enantioselective recognition of mandelic acid: signal amplification by dendritic branching

Novel chiral bisbinaphthyl compounds have been synthesized for the enantioselective fluorescent recognition of mandelic acid. By introducing dendritic branches to the chiral receptor unit, the fluorescence signals of the receptors are significantly amplified because of the light-harvesting effect of the dendritic structure. This has greatly increased the sensitivity of the sensors in the fluorescent recognition. Study of the three generation sensors demonstrates that the generation zero sensor is the best choice for the recognition of mandelic acid because of its greatly increased fluorescence signal over the core and its high enantioselectivity. This sensor is potentially useful for the high throughput screening of chiral catalysts for the asymmetric synthesis of alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acids.     

Synthesis and magnetic properties of poly(p‐phthaloyl‐disacetylaceton‐ethylenediimine) metal complexes

Macrocyclic Schiff‐base ligand, bisacetylaceton‐ethylenediimine (BAE) and its transition metal complexes M(BAE) (M = Cu²⁺, Ni²⁺) were synthesized. The complexes having characteristics of aromatic systems and well‐defined one‐dimensional structures, reacted with p‐phthaloyl chloride, to obtain polymer complexes. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, inductively coupled plasma (ICP), FT‐IR, and thermal analysis and show good thermal stability. ESR spectra analysis discovered that there are free radicals in the chain of polymers, indicating that a weak magnetic spin‐exchange interaction operates between the metal ions and free radicals. It is found that, as the bridging p‐phthaloyl group is able to propagate the magnetic exchange interaction, the polymer complexes show paramagnetic properties by measurement of temperature dependence of the magnetic property, and obey Curie–Weiss law. 超细粉Pb0.75Ca0.25[(Ni1/3Nb2/3)0.08Ti0.912Mn0.008]O3的制备与表征

报道了用化学共沉淀法制备掺杂Ca、Ni、Nb、Mn钛酸铅超细陶瓷粉末的方法。制得的粉料化学式为:Pb_0.75Ca_0.25[(Ni_1/3Nb_2/3)_0.08Ti_0.912Mn_0.008]O₃,粒径小于0.1μm,所有的掺杂元素均能定量掺入。     

Dehydrogenation activities of highly dispersed transition metal oxides on NaY zeolite

Highly dispersed α-Fe_2O_3/NaY,NiO/NaY,and CuO/NaY catalyst systems were pre-pared by impregnation method.Dispersion thresholds of the transition metal oxides on NaY" zeolitewere determined by XRD phase analysis.The dispersion capacities of the transition metal oxides on NaYzeolite are much lower than that estimated on the basis of a closed packed monolayer in the micropores.The catalytic activity and selectivity of the highly dispersed oxide catalyst systems for ethylben-zene and cyclohexane dehydrogenation reactions were reported.     

Polymer bound glutamic acid salicylaldehyde Schiff‐base complex ­catalyst for oxidation of olefins with ­dioxygen

The polymer bound Schiff‐base ligand (PS‐SalGlu) has been prepared from polystyrene bound salicylaldehyde and glutamic acid, and its complex (PS‐SalGlu‐Co) has also been synthesized. The polymer ligand and its complex were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, small area X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and inductively coupled plasma‐atomic emission spectro (ICP‐AFS). In the presence of the complex, cyclohexene can be effectively oxidized by molecular oxygen without reductant. The long‐chain linear aliphatic olefins, such as 1‐octene, 1‐decene, 1‐dodecene and 1‐tetradecene, can be directly oxidized by molecular oxygen catalyzed by PS‐SalGlu‐Co, which affords the 1,2‐epoxy alkane. 气相色谱质谱法快速测定人血浆中克仑特罗

血浆样品经0.01mol·L-1盐酸和无水乙醇浸取,在碱性条件下用氯仿萃取,GG-MS-选择离子测量法测定,外标法定量。在选定的色谱条件下,盐酸克仑特罗的检出限为0.05ng,线性范围为0.1-100ng,方法的平均回收率为95.6％,RSD小于6.82％(n=6)。该法毋需衍生化,基质无干扰,简便可靠,适用于生物材料中克仑特罗的快速分析。
