When two-dimensional electrons are subjected to a very strong magnetic field, they are believed to form a triangular crystal. By a direct comparison with the exact wave function, we demonstrate that this crystal is not a simple Hartree-Fock crystal of electrons but an inherently quantum mechanical crystal characterized by a nonperturbative binding of quantized vortices to electrons. It is suggested that this has qualitative consequences for experiment. 相似文献

The enzyme complex 3beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/Delta5-Delta4-isomerase (3beta-HSD) is involved in the biosynthesis of all classes of active steroids. The expression of 3b-HSD in human uterine endometrium during the menstrual cycle and decidua was examined in an effort to understand its role during ova implantation. 3beta-HSD was weakly expressed in the glandular epithelium of the proliferative phase and moderately expressed in the glandular epithelium of secretory phase of the endometrium. In the decidua of the ectopic pregnancy, 3beta-HSD was strongly expressed. The human uterine endometrial 3beta-HSD was identified as being the same type as the placental 3beta-HSD by RT-PCR and sequence analysis. In addition to the expression of 3beta-HSD, P450scc was expressed in the decidua of the ectopic pregnancy. These results suggest that pregnenolone might be synthesized from cholesterol by P450scc de novo and then, it is converted to progesterone by 3beta-HSD in the uterine endometrium. The data implies that the endometrial 3beta-HSD can use not only the out-coming pregnenolone from the adrenal gland but also the self- made pregnenolone to produce progesterone. The de novo synthesis of progesterone in the endometrium might be a crucial factor for implantation and maintenance of pregnancy. 相似文献

We consider a fully discrete qualocation method for Symm’s integral equation. The method is that of Sloan and Burn (1992),
for which a complete analysis is available in the case of smooth curves. The convergence for smooth curves can be improved
by a subtraction of singularity (Jeon and Kimn, 1996). In this paper we extend these results for smooth boundaries to polygonal
boundaries. The analysis uses a mesh grading transformation method for Symm’s integral equation, as in Elschner and Graham
(1995) and Elschner and Stephan (1996), to overcome the singular behavior of solutions at corners.

The formation of a frustrated Lewis pair consisting of sodium hydride (Na+H?) and a framework‐bound hydroxy proton O(H+) is reported upon H2 treatment of zeolite NaY loaded with Pt nanoparticles (Ptx/NaY). Frustrated Lewis pair formation was confirmed using in situ neutron diffraction and spectroscopic measurements. The activity of the intrazeolite NaH as a size‐selective catalyst was verified by the efficient esterification of acetaldehyde (a small aldehyde) to form the corresponding ester ethyl acetate, whereas esterification of the larger molecule benzaldehyde was unsuccessful. The frustrated Lewis pair (consisting of Na+H? and O(H+)) generated within zeolite NaY may be a useful catalyst for various catalytic reactions which require both H? and H+ ions, such as catalytic hydrogenation or dehydrogenation of organic compounds and activation of small molecules. 相似文献

Reaction of 2,2-difluoro-1-tributylstannylethenyl p-toluenesulfonate (1) with bis(tributyltin) in the presence of 5 mol % Pd(PPh3)4 and 30 equiv LiBr in THF at reflux temperature for 7 h afforded (2,2-difluoroethenylidene)bis(tributylstannane) (2) in a 70% yield. Coupling reaction of 2 with aryl iodides in the presence of 5 mol % Pd(PPh3)4 and 5 mol % CuI in DMF at 80 °C for 3–4 h provided the coupled products 3 in 59–85% yields. 相似文献

PVC membrane electrodes for lead ion based on N,N’-bis(salicylidene)-2,6-pyridinediamine as membrane carrier were prepared. Among their membranes, a membrane electrode (m-3) containing o-NPOE as a plasticizer and 50 mol% additive displays an excellent Nernstian response (29.4 mV/decade) and the limit of detection of −log a (M) = 6.04 to Pb2+ in Pb(NO3)2 solutions at room temperature. It has a rapid response time within 10 s over the entire concentration range. The proposed electrode revealed good selectivity and response for Pb2+ over a wide variety of other metal ions in a pH 5.0 buffer solutions, and good reproducibility of base line in subsequent measurements. 相似文献

Molecular self-assembly is the spontaneous association of molecules into structured aggregates by which nature builds complex functional systems. While numerous examples have focused on 2D self-assembly to understand the underlying mechanism and mimic this process to create artificial nano- and microstructures, limited progress has been made toward 3D self-assembly on the molecular level. Here we show that a helical β-peptide foldamer, an artificial protein fragment, with well-defined secondary structure self-assembles to form an unprecedented 3D molecular architecture with a molar tooth shape in a controlled manner in aqueous solution. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis, combined with global optimization and Rietveld refinement, allowed us to propose its molecular arrangement. We found that four individual left-handed helical monomers constitute a right-handed superhelix in a unit cell of the assembly, similar to that found in the supercoiled structure of collagen. 相似文献
