A new composition of magnesium (Mg)-ion-conducting polymer electrolyte comprising poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) complexed with Mg trifluoromethanesulfonate (Mg triflate or Mg(Tf)2) containing different amounts of a nonionic plastic crystal succinonitrile (SN) has been prepared and characterized. High polarity and rotational disorder of the SN molecules in the plastic-crystalline phase, supports the enhancement of ionic conductivity of the PEO-Mg(Tf)2 complex system, showing a maximum room temperature ionic conductivity of ~6?×?10-4 S cm?1 observed with the addition of 50 wt.% of SN. X-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry suggest a substantial structural modification, decrease in crystallinity, and various interactions in the polymer electrolyte components due to addition of SN. The cyclic voltammetry, impedance, and dc polarization studies confirm the Mg-ion conduction in the PEO complex. The electrochemical potential window of the electrolyte, observed from the linear sweep voltammetry, is determined to be ~4.1 V. The performance characteristics of the SN-incorporated polymer electrolyte system indicate their potential applicability as electrolytes in ionic devices including Mg batteries.  相似文献

A mild and efficient methodology has been developed for the synthesis of spiro-1,3-oxazine derivatives by the microwave assisted cyclization of N-2-(1′-cyclohexenyl)ethyl-acetamides/benzamides. The reaction was catalyzed by in situ generated trimethylsilyl iodide and featured by its very short reaction time. The starting materials were easily obtained by the condensation of substituted acetic/benzoic acids with 2-(1′-cyclohexenyl)ethyl amine.  相似文献

Abstract

Effective extraction of phyto-biomolecules insures retaining maximum functionality along with higher recovery. In this study, ultrasound-solvent assisted extraction (USAE) was employed for optimal extraction of phyto-biomolecules from Sesamum indicum (sesame) leaves using the approach of Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The optimized condition of 200?W power, 59% methanol concentration with 1:14?g/mL solid–liquid ratio and 15?min of extraction time yielded 367.39?±?1.85?mg GAE/100?g of total phenolic content, 96.72?±?3.27% of free radical scavenging activity and 81.20?±?2.87% of iron chelating activity respectively. The extract consist of essential phytocomponents like gallic acid, chlorogenic acid, and quercetin with lipid peroxidation activities of >50% over incubation time of 48?h. Also, showed antimicrobial activity against various Gram’s negative and positive food borne pathogens. The results of this study implied the importance of USAE for effective and optimum recovery of phyto-biomolecules from Sesame leaves with retained functional properties.  相似文献

A variety of new coumarin derivatives containing C-4 bridged 2,6-dicyanoanilines (4a-4d) were synthesized via multicomponent one pot approach. These novel sensors were characterized by spectral analysis and a series of pH sensing fluorescence studies were performed, the results indicating that the sensors are highly selective and more effective at various pH. The fluorescence colour changes at different pH could be directly detected by naked eyes.  相似文献

Metal embedded in metal oxide nanoparticles are active as catalyst in plethora of industrially important reactions. Herein, embedded Cu@Fe2O3 nanoparticles was synthesized via a one step hydrothermal strategy which selectively catalyzes the hydrogenation of diverse nitroaromatics in H2O at room temperature. The remarkable catalytic performance is due to the successful hybridization of metallic Cu and Fe2O3 which in turn allows easy electroflipping between various oxidation states of Cu and Fe. Azo- and azoxy-compounds are not formed during the catalyzed process. This evidently establish that the hydrogenation of nitroaromatics proceeds via direct route with >99% selectivity to the corresponding anilines.  相似文献

This account provides an overview of current research activities on nanoparticles containing the earth‐abundant and inexpensive element copper (Cu) and Cu‐based nanoparticles, especially in the field of environmental catalysis. The different synthetic strategies with possible modification of the chemical/ physical properties of these nanoparticles using such strategies and/or conditions to improve catalytic activity are presented. The design and development of support and/or bimetallic systems (e. g., alloys, intermetallic, etc.) are also included. Herein, we report synthetic approaches of Cu and Cu‐based nanoparticles (monometallic copper, bimetallic copper and copper (II) oxide nanoparticles/nanostructures) and impregnation of such nanoparticles onto support material (e. g., Co3O4 nanostructure), along with their applications as environmental catalyst for various oxidation and reduction reactions. Finally, this account provides necessary advances and perspectives of Cu‐based nanoparticles in the environmental catalysis.  相似文献

Manganese(II) complexes having the general composition Mn(L)2X2 (where L = 3‐bromoacetophenone semicarbazone, 3‐bromoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone, 1‐tetralone semicarbazone, 1‐tetralone thiosemicarbazone, flavanone semicarbazone or flavanone thiosemicarbazone and X = Cl? or ½SO42?) were synthesized. All the complexes were characterized using elemental analyses, molar conductance and magnetic moment measurements, and mass, 1H NMR, infrared, electron paramagnetic resonance and electronic spectral studies. The molar conductance of the complexes in dimethylsulfoxide lies in the range 10–20 Ω?1 cm2 mol?1 indicating their non‐electrolytic nature. All the complexes show magnetic moments corresponding to five unpaired electrons. The possible geometries of the complexes were assigned on the basis of electron paramagnetic resonance, electronic and infrared spectral studies. Some of the synthesized ligands and their complexes were screened for their antifungal activities against fungi Macrophomina phaseolina, Botrytis cinerea and Phoma glomerata using the food poison technique and their antibacterial activities against Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris and Ralstonia solanacearum using the paper disc diffusion method. The discovery of a new L-valine promoted facile and versatile green synthesis of diversified 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-pyrans using a one pot multicomponent-tandem reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile, and diverse electron-rich enolizable carbonyl compounds is described. To the best of our knowledge this is the first report on the use of native L-valine as a catalyst in organic synthesis. Environmental friendly, mild reaction conditions, use of easily available inexpensive starting materials, short reaction time, excellent yields, high atom economy, and recyclability of organocatalyst are the major advantages of the disclosed protocol.  相似文献

Pursuing our recent interest regarding antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities of coumarin derivatives, we have synthesized a series of coumarin-linked pyridopyrimidinones by using Baylis Hillman adduct in aqueous condition with high purity. Pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-2-ones are important class of heterocyclic compounds because of their use in medicinal and agro chemistry as active agents. All these newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity. Coumarin pyridopyrimidinones showed excellent anti-inflammatory activity against both MMP-2 and MMP-9 gelatinase zymography, whereas considerable good activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains; however, antifungal activity observed in these series is more or less inactive. The active compounds of these series would be promising structural templates for the development of novel and more efficient anti-inflammatory agent.  相似文献
