Organometallic bases are becoming increasingly complex, because mixing components can lead to bases superior to single‐component bases. To better understand this superiority, it is useful to study metalated intermediate structures prior to quenching. This study is on 1‐phenyl‐1H‐benzotriazole, which was previously deprotonated by an in situ ZnCl2 ? TMEDA/LiTMP (TMEDA=N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine; TMP=2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidide) mixture and then iodinated. Herein, reaction with LiTMP exposes the deficiency of the single‐component base as the crystalline product obtained was [{4‐R‐1‐(2‐lithiophenyl)‐1H‐benzotriazole ? 3THF}2], [R=2‐C6H4(Ph)NLi], in which ring opening of benzotriazole and N2 extrusion had occurred. Supporting lithiation by adding iBu2Al(TMP) induces trans‐metal trapping, in which C?Li bonds transform into C?Al bonds to stabilise the metalated intermediate. X‐ray diffraction studies revealed homodimeric [(4‐R′‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐benzotriazole)2], [R′=(iBu)2Al(μ‐TMP)Li], and its heterodimeric isomer [(4‐R′‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐benzotriazole){2‐R′‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐benzotriazole}], whose structure and slow conformational dynamics were probed by solution NMR spectroscopy. 相似文献

The cationic gold phosphine complex [{PCy2(o‐biphenyl)}Au(NCMe)]+SbF6? (Cy=cyclohexyl) catalyzes the intermolecular, anti‐Markovnikov hydroamination reaction of monosubstituted and cis‐ and trans‐disubstituted alkylidenecyclopropanes (ACPs) with imidazolidin‐2‐ones and other nucleophiles. This reaction forms 1‐cyclopropyl alkylamine derivatives in high yield and with high regio‐ and diastereoselectivity. NMR spectroscopic analysis of gold π‐ACP complexes and control experiments point to the sp hybridization of the ACP internal alkene carbon atom as controlling the regiochemistry of the ACP hydroamination reaction. 相似文献

Sec-butylbenzene has been investigated using resonant two-photon ionization (R2PI) and UV–UV hole-burning spectroscopy aided by ab initio calculations. All three conformers predicted from theory are observed in the spectrum, and are assigned by rotational band contour analysis. The most strongly populated conformer (G1) has a gauche arrangement of the side chain dihedral angle τ2(C1CαCβCγ). The populations of the anti (A) and the remaining gauche conformer (G2) are about 7% and 2%, respectively. The alpha methyl group is found to significantly affect the conformational preferences in sec-butylbenzene (sec-BB), compared to n-propylbenzene in which the anti conformer is favored. 相似文献

Amino tricyanovinyl thiophene chromophores (A-TCVT) are prepared by a substitution reaction of amino-phenylene vinylene thiophene (A-PVT) with tetracyanoethylene (TCNE). This reaction does not occur directly. The vinylene double bond in the PVT unit first reacts rapidly with TCNE to form a [2+2] cycloaddition product. It is then reverted to PVT unit prior to the subsequent substitution at 50 °C. This reversible cycloaddition converts the cis-isomer of PVT units into the trans-counterparts, thus the final TCNE substituted products can be expected for a better performance as non-linear optical materials. 相似文献

The aim was to investigate the relationship between the bond length and the electron density at the bond critical point in homonuclear X--X and Z--Z and heteronuclear C--Z bonds (X = Li-F, Z = Na-Cl). The d,rho(c) pairs were obtained from 472 target bonds in DFT-optimized (B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p)) small molecular species. These species were selected arbitrarily but with a view to maximize the range widths WR for each atom combination. It was found that (i) with one clear exception, the d(A - A) means (A = X or Z) correlate linearly with the bond lengths d(A(2)) of the respective diatomic molecules; (ii) the d(A - A) means correlate parabolically with n, the formal number of valence electrons in the atoms of the bond; and (iii) with increasing sample size N the ratio WR(rho(c))/WR(d) appears to converge toward a representation f [WR(rho(c))/WR(d)](N-->infinity) characteristic of A. Detailed analysis of the d,rho(c) relationship has shown that by and large simple power regression accounts best for the DFT data. The regression coefficients of d = arho(c) (-b) and rho(c) = alphad(-beta) (b, beta > 0) vary with n in a seemingly irregular manner but one that is consistent with simple chemical notions. The d(A(2)) can be approximated in terms of multilinear MO electron occupancies. 相似文献

A series of carbon-coated, nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide photocatalysts was produced and characterized. N-doped TiO2 powder samples were prepared using a sol-gel method and subsequently used for making doped-TiO2 thin films on glass substrates. Carbon layers were coated on the films by a thermal decomposition method using catechol. Diffuse reflectance spectra and Mott-Schottky analyses of the samples proved that nitrogen doping and carbon coating can slightly lower the band gap of TiO2, broaden its absorption to visible light and enhance its n-type character. According to photocatalytic tests against model contaminants, carbon-coated nitrogen-doped TiO2 films have better performance than simple TiO2 on the degradation of Rhodamine B dye molecules, but are poorly effective for degrading 4-chlorophenol molecules. Several possible explanations are proposed for this result, supported by scavenging experiments. This reveals the importance of a broad substrate scope when assessing new photocatalytic materials for water treatment, something which is often overlooked in many literature studies. 相似文献

Polyoxometalates have been proposed in the literature as nanoelectronic components, where they could offer key advantages with their structural versatility and rich electrochemistry. Apart from a few studies on their ensemble behaviour (as monolayers or thin films), this potential remains largely unexplored. We synthesised a pyridyl-capped Anderson–Evans polyoxometalate and used it to fabricate single-molecule junctions, using the organic termini to chemically “solder” a single cluster to two nanoelectrodes. Operating the device in an electrochemical environment allowed us to probe charge transport through different oxidation states of the polyoxometalate, and we report here an efficient three-state transistor behaviour. Conductance data fits a quantum tunnelling mechanism with different charge-transport probabilities through different charge states. Our results show the promise of polyoxometalates in nanoelectronics and give an insight on their single-entity electrochemical behaviour. 相似文献

Radical reaction of a series of N-(2-bromoallyl)arylcarboxamides led to the production of 4-arylpyrrolidin-2-ones and directly reduced materials in comparable yields. A cascade process, involving sequential 5-exo-trig spirocyclisation, β-scission, and 5-endo-trig cyclisation of the resulting acyl radical, is proposed to explain the pyrrolidinone products. 相似文献
