We report the first evidence for a fully reconstructed decay mode of the B(c)+- meson in the channel B(c)+- --> J/psi pi+-, with J/psi --> mu+ mu-. The analysis is based on an integrated luminosity of 360 pb(-1) in pp collisions at 1.96 TeV center of mass energy collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We observe 14.6 +/- 4.6 signal events with a background of 7.1 +/- 0.9 events, and a fit to the J/psi pi+-mass spectrum yields a B(c)+- mass of 6285.7 +/- 5.3(stat) +/- 1.2(syst) MeV/c2. The probability of a peak of this magnitude occurring by random fluctuation in the search region is estimated as 0.012%.  相似文献

We report on a measurement of the inclusive jet production cross section as a function of the jet transverse momentum in pp collisions at (square root s)=1.96 TeV using data collected with the upgraded Collider Detector at Fermilab in run II, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 385 pb-1. Rotational coherent anti‐Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) in fuel‐rich hydrocarbon flames, with a large content of hydrogen in the product gases (∼20%), has in previous work shown that evaluated temperatures are raised several tens of Kelvin by taking newly derived N2 H2 Raman line widths into account. To validate these results, in this work calibrated temperature measurements at around 300, 500 and 700 K were performed in a cell with binary gas mixtures of nitrogen and hydrogen. The temperature evaluation was made with respect to Raman line widths either from self‐broadened nitrogen only, N2 N2 [energy‐corrected‐sudden (ECS)], or by also taking nitrogen broadened by hydrogen, N2 H2 [Robert–Bonamy (RB)], Raman line widths into account. With increased amount of hydrogen in the cell at constant temperature, the evaluated CARS temperatures were clearly lowered with the use of Raman line widths from self‐broadened nitrogen only, and the case with inclusion of N2 H2 Raman line widths was more successful. The difference in evaluated temperatures between the two different sets increases approximately linearly, reaching 20 K (at T ∼ 300 K), 43 K (at T = 500 K) and 61 K (at T = 700 K) at the highest hydrogen concentration (90%). Molecular modeling methodologies were applied to perform preliminary studies concerning the release of active agents from potentially antichagasic and antileishmanial dendrimer prodrugs. The dendrimer was designed having myo-inositol as a core, l-malic acid as a spacer group, and hydroxymethylnitrofurazone (NFOH), 3-hydroxyflavone or quercetin, as active compounds. Each dendrimer presented a particular behavior concerning to the following investigated properties: spatial hindrance, map of electrostatic potential (MEP), and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy (ELUMO). Additionally, the findings suggested that the carbonyl group next to the active agent seems to be the most promising ester breaking point.  相似文献

We present a core and valence region spectroscopic analysis of the interfacial electronic structure of thin films of vanadyl naphthalocyanine (VONc) deposited onto highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates the predominantly ionic character of the vanadyl metal center coordinated by the heterocycle and affords the bandgap in the thin VONc films. Valence band photoelectron spectroscopy points to the existence of three different adsorption geometries of VONc on the HOPG surface. The distribution of the different geometries can be systematically influenced in a simple post-deposition processing step, with an immediate effect on the interfacial electronic environment. We find spectroscopic evidence in the valence levels that VONc grows on HOPG most likely in a 2D-gas fashion rather than by nucleation and growth of islands. These data allow us to predict accurately the interface dipole in the case of a broad class of dipolar organic semiconductors, based simply on molecular dipole moment, polarizability and molecular diameter. This ability provides an important step towards rational optimization of energy level alignment in organic electronics.  相似文献

Choanoflagellates are single-celled eukaryotes with complex signaling pathways. They are considered the closest non-metazoan ancestors to mammals and other metazoans and form multicellular-like states called rosettes. The choanoflagellate Monosiga brevicollis contains over 150 PDZ domains, an important peptide-binding domain in all three domains of life (Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya). Therefore, an understanding of PDZ domain signaling pathways in choanoflagellates may provide insight into the origins of multicellularity. PDZ domains recognize the C-terminus of target proteins and regulate signaling and trafficking pathways, as well as cellular adhesion. Here, we developed a computational software suite, Domain Analysis and Motif Matcher (DAMM), that analyzes peptide-binding cleft sequence identity as compared with human PDZ domains and that can be used in combination with literature searches of known human PDZ-interacting sequences to predict target specificity in choanoflagellate PDZ domains. We used this program, protein biochemistry, fluorescence polarization, and structural analyses to characterize the specificity of A9UPE9_MONBE, a M. brevicollis PDZ domain-containing protein with no homology to any metazoan protein, finding that its PDZ domain is most similar to those of the DLG family. We then identified two endogenous sequences that bind A9UPE9 PDZ with <100 μM affinity, a value commonly considered the threshold for cellular PDZ–peptide interactions. Taken together, this approach can be used to predict cellular targets of previously uncharacterized PDZ domains in choanoflagellates and other organisms. Our data contribute to investigations into choanoflagellate signaling and how it informs metazoan evolution.  相似文献

The reactions of metastable decomposing methyl acetoacetate (a mixture of keto a ad enol tautomers) are reported and discussed. The unimolecular fragmentations of the tautomers are different. The metastable decomposing radical cation of the keto form displays four specific ions: [M –CO]+˙, [M – CH2O]+˙, [M – CH2CO]+˙ and m/z 43. The results derived from D-, 13C- and 18O-labelled precursors together with thermochemical data have been used to study the mechanisms. Experimental results indicate that an unexpected isomerization occurs before dissociation. It formally corresponds to oxygen atom permutation of the two carbonyl groups without participation of the carbon atoms. This remarkable process is interpreted in terms of a mechanism involving ion-molecule complexes.  相似文献

A flow injection analysis (FIA) system with potentiometric detection has been developed for the determination of citric acid in commercial fruit juices using a copper-selective tubular electrode. It consists of the complexation of citrate ion with copper (II) ion, monitoring the free copper (II) concentration. Linear relationships between the potential and log concentrations of citric acid in the range of 1 × 10–3 mol/L – 1 × 10–2 mol/L were attained with samples injected in the system without prior treatment. Repeatability was determined by assessing the relative standard deviation for ten replicate injections of different juice samples which varied from 1.2% to 3.0%. The results provided by the automated system were compared with those of an enzymatic conventional method used for the analysis of citric acid in food and a relative deviation of less than 4.0% was found. Recovery trials resulted in values from 97.0% to 101.0%. The system allows a sampling frequency of 60 samples/h.  相似文献

We present an analysis of angular distributions and correlations of the X(3872) particle in the exclusive decay mode X(3872)-->J/psipi+ pi- with J/psi-->mu+ mu-. We use 780 pb-1 of data from pp[over ] collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. We derive constraints on spin, parity, and charge conjugation parity of the X(3872) particle by comparing measured angular distributions of the decay products with predictions for different J(PC) hypotheses. The assignments J(PC)=1++ and 2-+ are the only ones consistent with the data.  相似文献
