We report on the real-space observation of resonant frequency splitting in a high-Q waveguide-coupled silicon-on-insulator microdisk resonator. Phase sensitive near-field analysis reveals the stationary nature of the two resonant states, and spectral investigations clearly show their orthogonality. These measurements emphasize the role of the coupling waveguide in this splitting phenomenon. The symmetry of the two stationary whispering gallery modes is clearly observed and is found to follow the axial symmetry of the waveguide-coupled microdisk as it has been reported by earlier theoretical predictions. 相似文献

A new nonparametric estimator of the local Hurst function of a multifractional Gaussian process based on the increment ratio (IR) statistic is defined. In a general frame, the point-wise and uniform weak and strong consistency and a multidimensional central limit theorem for this estimator are established. Similar results are obtained for a refinement of the generalized quadratic variations (QV) estimator. The example of the multifractional Brownian motion is studied in detail. A simulation study is included showing that the IR-estimator is more accurate than the QV-estimator. 相似文献

We show that every linearly repetitive Delone set in the Euclidean d -space Rd, with d?2, is equivalent, up to a bi-Lipschitz homeomorphism, to the integer lattice Zd. In the particular case when the Delone set X in Rd comes from a primitive substitution tiling of Rd, we give a condition on the eigenvalues of the substitution matrix which ensures the existence of a homeomorphism with bounded displacement from X to the lattice βZd for some positive β. A compact electro-optic modulator on silicon-on-insulator is presented. The structure consists of a III-V microdisk cavity heterogeneously integrated on a silicon-on-insulator wire waveguide. By modulating the loss of the active layer included in the cavity through carrier injection, the power of the transmitted light at the resonant wavelength is modulated; approximately 10 dB extinction ratio and 2.73 Gbps dynamic operation are demonstrated without using any special driving techniques. 相似文献

This work focuses on interstitial solid solutions of hydrogen in the face-centred cubic (fcc) host lattice of palladium and nickel, using a first-principles based approach. Cluster Variation Method (CVM) and Monte Carlo simulation algorithms were especially designed, allowing a coupled use of both techniques, to study hydrogen–vacancy interactions inside an fcc metallic host lattice. First-principles calculations provided the H–Vac interaction energies by structure inversion method. The phase diagrams and thermodynamic properties were computed using only theoretical inputs. The mechanisms leading to the formation of the miscibility gaps observed for both Pd–H and Ni–H systems and the hydrogen ordering on palladium interstitial lattice were reproduced without any empirical term. 相似文献

A multianalyte ELISA has been developed for the simultaneous determination of the most frequently used antibiotic families in the veterinary field following the typical planar microarray configuration, where the identity of the target analyte is encoded by its location in the detection platform (Master et al. in Drug Discovery Today 11:1007-1011, 2006). To accomplish this aim, two individual enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays for sulfonamide and fluoroquinolone antibiotics and an enzyme-linked receptor assay for ss-lactam antibiotics have been combined. The strategy uses microplates coated with the corresponding haptenized proteins in specific sections of the microplate. The samples are mixed with a cocktail containing the bioreagents, and distributed in the wells of the microplate. Identification of the antibiotic present in a particular sample is consequently accomplished by detecting a positive response on the corresponding microplate section. Since the bioreceptors used show a wide recognition of the congeners of each antibiotic family, the multianalyte method is able to detect more than 25 different antibiotics from the three most important antibiotic families. The detectability reached in full-fat milk samples is below the European maximum residue limits. The accuracy and reliability of this multiplexed bioanalytical method have been demonstrated by analyzing blind spiked samples. 相似文献

Non-conventional techniques, such as microwave (MW) and power ultrasound (US) as well as combined MW/US irradiation, have been used to promote one-pot synthesis of second-generation ionic liquids (ILs), cutting down reaction times and improving yields. However, the use of chloroalkanes in the alkylation of N-heterocycles requires more drastic conditions if results are to match those obtained with more reactive alkyl halides. The present paper describes a series of MW- or MW/US-promoted IL preparations starting from chloroalkanes and classic heterocycles (1-methylimidazole, pyridine and 1-methylpyrrolidine). When reactions were carried out under conventional heating in an oil bath they required longer reaction times and gave poorer yields. (1)H-NMR analysis and ion-exchange chromatography showed that the present solventless procedure afforded ILs of satisfactory purity. The observed high yields (usually 70-98% isolated), and short reaction times showed that a straightforward access to ILs can be also achieved with the use of alkyl chlorides, resulting in a considerable reduction of costs. 相似文献
