Relations between subclasses of greedoids

In previous papers many different classes and constructions of greedoids have been defined and studied. This paper documents inclusion relations among all subclasses of greedoids which are known so far. It will be shown that all inclusion relations are proper and that all but one subclasses of interval greedoids are distinct.

Zusammenfassung In früheren Arbeiten wurden viele verschiedene Klassen und Konstruktionen für Greedoide eingeführt und studiert. In dieser Arbeit werden alle bekannten Inklusionsbeziehungen zwischen Unterklassen von Greedoiden dokumentiert. Es wird gezeigt, daß alle Inklusionsbeziehungen echt und alle Unterklassen mit einer Ausnahme tatsächlich verschieden sind.

Recovery and recrystallization in AISI 321 steel under static conditions

Static softening of AISI 321 steel after cold and hot deformation characterizing the industrial thermomechanical treatment was studied by means of tensile tests and TEM. The deformation temperature, the strain and the grain size were the main parameters determining the final softening. The results can be applied for optimization of the solution annealing.     

Maps of intragranular precipitation strengthening

Maps of strengthening by small (semi)coherent precipitates homogeneously dispersed in the grains have been constructed. They can show the most probable dislocation-particle interaction mechanism and the strengthening effect of a given dispersion of particles. As an application, the effect of-Ni₃(Al, Ti) and M₂₃C₆ precipitation in austenitic steels is discussed.     

Contribution to the theory of the Barkhausen power spectra of amorphous ferromagnets

The influence of the finite velocity of domain wall on the shape of the power spectra of Barkhausen noise is analysed. It is shown that the power spectrum is significantly influenced by the dynamical properties of domain walls.Dedicated to Academician Vladimír Hajko on the occasion of his 65th birthday.     

Ligandenfeldspektren einiger Cyanato-Kupfer(II)-Komplexe des Typs Cu(NCO)2 L 2 mit Liganden aus der Chinolin- und Isochinolingruppe Cyanato-Kupfer(II)-Komplexe mit organischen Liganden, 7. Mitt.

Zusammenfassung Die Ligandenfeldspektren der Komplexe des Typs Cu(NCO)₂ L ₂ (L=Ligand der Chinolin- bzw. Isochinolingruppe) im festen Zustand wurden aufgenommen. Das Spektrum des Komplexes Cu(NCO)₂(Chin)₂ weist eine einzige Bande auf und deutet auf eine pseudooktaedrische Struktur. Die Spektren der übrigen Komplexe enthalten hingegen neben den Hauptbanden auch Schultern bzw. ist die anwesende Bande zusammengesetzt, so daß diese Spektren mit einer planaren Struktur im Einklang sind. Die annähernden Werte für den Parameter 10Dq wurden berechnet; sie liegen im Bereich von 7,1 bis 7,8 kK.

Ligand field spectra of some cyanato-copper(II) complexes with ligands from the quinoline- and isoquinoline group

The ligand field spectra of complexes of the type Cu(NCO)₂ L ₂ (L=ligand from the quinoline or isoquinoline group) in the solid state were recorded. Only the spectrum of Cu(NCO)₂(Quin)₂ exhibits a single band and indicates a pseudooctahedral structure, while the spectra of the remaining complexes also contain shoulders in addition to the main band, or this band is composite, thus being in accordance with a planar structure. The approximate values of the parameter 10Dq were calculated and found to be in the range of 7.1 to 7.8 kK.

Ausnützung der Sorptionseigenschaften von Trägern in der Graschromatographie

Zusammenfassung Die Möglichkeit der Anwendung fester Stoffe mit kleinen Oberflächen als Sorbentien in der Gaschromatographie wurde untersucht. Die Sorptionseigenschaften von Trägern auf Kieseiguhrbasis, Rysorb BLK, LM und P wurde geprüft. Rysorb BLK wurde mit Saccharose in verschiedener gewichtsmäßiger Bedeckung modifiziert und der Einfluß des Bedeckungsgrades auf die Trennwirkung des Trägers untersucht. Ferner wurde die analytische Anwendung solcher Träger bewertet.

Summary The possibility of employing solid materials with small surfaces as sorbents in gas chromatography was investigated. The sorption properties of carriers with a kieselguhr base, Rysorb BLK, LM and P were tested. Rysorb BLK was modified with saccharose in various coatings by weight and the influence of the degree of coating on the separation action of the carrier was studied. An appraisal was also made of the analytical application of such carriers.

Résumé On a étudié la possibilité d'utiliser des corps solides de petites surfaces comme sorbants en Chromatographie en phase gazeuse. On a expérimenté les propriétés de sorption des supports sur base de kieselguhr, de Rysorb BLK, LM et P. Le Rysorb BLK a été modifié avec le saccharose avec un revêtement différent et équivalent et Ton a étudié l'influence du degré de revêtement sur l'action séparatrice du support. On a apprécié de plus l'emploi de ces supports en analyse.

Multiparametric curve fitting-I Computer-assisted evaluation of chelatometric titrations with metallochromic indicators

A curve-fitting procedure has been developed for the photometric complex-formation titration of the metal-indicator complex MIn(N) which is assumed to predominate in solution. By means of a least-squares procedure the following five parameters were determined: the end-point, the absorbance of the indicator complex A(M)XXX. the indicator concentration CXXX, the stability constants and, if possible, k(MY) . A modified version of Sillen's Letagrop Vrid has been used for the mathematical-statistical approach of the non-linear model based upon the non-transformed function A = f(v). Additional information is obtained about the goodness of fit, indicating whether the chosen model with predominance of MIn(N) is correct or not. The use of the program is demonstrated by application to chelatometric microtitrations of zinc and lead with EDTA, using Naphthylazoxine 6S and SNAZOXS as metallochromic indicators.     

Stereospecific total synthesis of (±)-strempeliopine

The 18-methylene-1,2-dehydroaspidospermidine (III) was stereospecifically transformed into the schizozygane alkaloid strempeliopine (II) in 16,6 % overall yield.     

Spectrophotometric study of bismuth with N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid (ADA): Determination of bismuth in pharmaceutical formulations

A new method for the Spectrophotometric determination of bismuth using N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid as complexometric agent is proposed. The complex is formed in a wide pH range, 5.5–7.5, and has a maximum absorption at 265 nm. Beer's law is obeyed in the interval 3.8–17.9 μg of bismuth(III)/ml, with a minimum photometric error of 2.3. The molar absorptivity is 9.1 × 10³ liters/cm mol. The stoichiometry of the reaction takes place in the metal-to-ligand ratio 1:2. The interferences produced by the more common ions are studied. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of bismuth in pharmaceutical formulations.
