An upper bound for the order of smoothness of bump functions in Banach spaces without copy ofc 0 is found in terms of lower and upper estimates of their sequences. Hydrodistillation (HD), simultaneous distillation-solvent extraction (SDE), microwave-assisted hydrodistillation (MWHD), and supercritical fluid (CO2) extraction (SFE), were employed to isolate volatile secondary metabolites from Colombian Xylopia aromatica (Lamarck) fruits. Static headspace (S-HS), simultaneous purge and trap (P&T) in solvent (CH2Cl2), and headspace (HS) solid-phase microextraction (SPME) were utilised to obtain volatile fractions from fruits of X. aromatica trees, which grow wild in Central and South America, and are abundant in Colombia. Kováts indices, mass spectra or standard compounds, were used to identify more than 50 individual components in the various volatile fractions. beta-Phellandrene was the main component found in the HD and MWHD essential oils, SDE and SFE extracts (61, 65, 57, and ca. 40%, respectively), followed by beta-myrcene (9.1, 9.3, 8.2 and 5.1%), and alpha-pinene (8.1, 7.3, 8.1 and 5.9%). The main components present in the volatile fractions of the X. aromatica fruits, isolated by S-HS, P&T and HS-SPME were beta-phellandrene (53.8, 35.7 and 39%), beta-myrcene (13.3, 12.3 and 10.1%), p-mentha-1(7),8-diene (7.1, 10.6 and 10.4%), alpha-phellandrene (2.2, 5.0 and 6.4%), and p-cymene (2.2,4.7 and 4.4%), respectively.  相似文献

The unusual mixing behavior of polyisobutylene (PIB) with head-to-head (hhPP) and head-to-tail polypropylene (PP) is studied using large-scale molecular dynamics (MD). The heats of mixing and Flory chi parameters were computed from MD simulations of both blends using a united atom model. The chi parameters from the simulations were estimated from the structure factors using the random phase approximation in analogy with neutron scattering (SANS) experiments. MD simulations for syndiotactic hhPP/PIB predicted a lower critical solution temperature with a chi parameter in very good agreement with SANS experiments on the atactic hhPP/PIB blend. MD simulations also predicted that the isotactic PP/PIB blend was immiscible at high molecular weight in qualitative agreement with cloud point measurements on atactic PP/PIB.  相似文献

A high-throughput screening system and methodology were developed for libraries of hydrogen (H(2)) producing catalytic materials. The system is based on the chemo-optical properties of WO(3), which give rise to reflectance changes in the presence of H(2). Pd-coated WO(3) sensors were synthesized and examined for their hydrogen sensitivity, wavelength-dependent reflectance, and performance in the presence of water vapor. For high-throughput screening, a polypropylene reactor block was designed and constructed to house 8 x 12 catalyst libraries deposited as thin films. When the library and reactor block are assembled together, 96 independent microreactor units are formed. A large-area Pd/WO(3) sensor film covers and seals all microreactors, forming a 96-element 2-D H(2) sensor array. As H(2) is produced differentially across the library, the reflectance changes of the Pd/WO(3) film are monitored by reflectivity sensors that scan the surface every 30 s. The time-dependent changes in reflectance indicate relative rates of H(2) production. A library of cathode electrocatalysts was synthesized from Ti, Pt, Ni, Au, Pd, Al, Ag, Ge, and mixtures thereof to demonstrate the H(2) high-throughput screening system. The results of the electrolytic screening are in agreement with expected literature trends: mixtures of Ni and samples containing Pt and Pd generated H(2) at the greatest rates, while Ge- and Ti-based materials were the least effective electrocatalysts. A mixture of 80% Al and 20% Pt was found to have the highest rate of H(2) production. This high-throughput screening system is applicable in a variety of catalytic screening applications where hydrogen is the desired product.  相似文献

Single phase tungsten-molybdenum mixed oxide films (W(1-x)Mo(x)O(3)) were successfully synthesized by automated parallel electrodeposition, and distinct structural changes were observed as a function of composition. A monoclinic structure (beta-phase) was observed in mixed oxides with less than 90% Mo, and above 90% Mo, orthorhombic structure (alpha-phase) was identified.  相似文献

N.E. Brown. Kovàts indices, mass spectra or standard compounds were used to identify around 40 components in the various volatile fractions. Carvone (40-57%) was the most abundant component, followed by limonene (24-37%), bicyclosesquiphellandrene (5-22%), piperitenone (1-2%), piperitone (ca. 1.0%), and beta-bourbonene (0.6-1.5%), in the HD, SDE, MWHD, and SFE volatile fractions. Static headspace (S-HS), simultaneous purge and trap in solvent (CH2Cl2) (P&T), and headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) were used to sample volatiles from fresh L. alba stems and leaves. The main components isolated from the headspace of the fresh plant material were limonene (27-77%), carvone (14-30%), piperitone (0.3-0.5%), piperitenone (ca. 0.4%), and beta-bourbonene (0.5-6.5%). The in vitro antioxidant activity of L. alba essential oil, obtained by hydrodistillation was evaluated by determination of hexanal, the main carbonyl compound released by linoleic acid subjected to peroxidation (1 mm Fe2+, 37 degrees C, 12 h), and by quantification of this acid as its methyl ester. Under the same conditions, L. alba HD-essential oil and Vitamin E exhibited similar antioxidant effects.  相似文献

Quasi-ordered, highly dispersed, gold nanoclusters of tightly controlled particle size were synthesized by dip-coating substrates with gold precursors encapsulated by block-copolymer micelles. By this method, gold particles (4.8 +/- 1.3 nm) were deposited on ITO-coated glass and shown to be catalytically active for electro-oxidation of carbon monoxide. XPS confirmed the catalytically active particles were predominantly Au0; however, a large fraction existed as Au3+. Whereas bulk gold is inert, these results demonstrate that catalytically active Au nanoparticles can be derived from micelle encapsulation.  相似文献

The dynamic NMR analysis of 2, a subunit of a new class of cyclic-dependent kinase inhibitors, reveals that the compound exists as two conformational isomers, Z and E, in acetone, as a consequence of the restricted rotation about the imidazopyridine–carbonyl bond. The less hindered Z-rotamer is the most abundant conformer (85:15 Z/E at 233 K) and the free energy of activation of the interconversion is 13.2 kcal mol−1. The rotamer ratio and the interconversion barrier are similar in other solvents, such as CD3OD and CDCl3.  相似文献

A convergent approach for a family of fluorescent nucleosides is described. It relies on thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione that serves as a core heterocycle. This condensed pyrimidine is converted into an emissive pyrimidine nucleoside analogue by N-glycosylation and into an emissive purine nucleoside analogue by C-glycosidation at the thiophene's beta position. The design principles of this archetypical system are outlined together with the syntheses and photophysical properties of the resulting nucleosides.  相似文献

We introduce UDS p -property (resp. UDT q -property) in Banach lattices as the property that every normalized disjoint sequence has a subsequence with an upper p-estimate (resp. lower q-estimate). In the case of rearrangement invariant spaces, the relationships with Boyd indices of the space are studied. Some applications of these properties are given to the high order smoothness of Banach lattices, in the sense of the existence of differentiable bump functions  相似文献
