The treatment of trans‐{[2, 6‐(Me2NCH2)2C6H3]SnI}2PtI2 with Na(pyt) (pyt = 2‐mercaptopyridine) yielded the unprecedented complex {{[2, 6‐(Me2NCH2)2C6H3]Sn}Pt(μ‐pyt)2I} ( 1 ), where a Sn←N coordinated stannylidenium (LSnII)+ fragment donates a to a [PtII(pyt)2I] anion. Compound 1 was characterized by NMR spectroscopy and molecular structure was determined by X‐ray diffraction analysis. The bonding situation in 1 was analyzed by DFT studies.  相似文献

A novel thermoplastic polyurethane was prepared from cardanol, a renewable resource and a waste of the cashew industry. Cardanol was recovered from cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) by double vacuum distillation. It was characterized by CHN analysis and IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy techniques. Cardanol is a meta-substituted long chain phenol. The long aliphatic chain unit substituent was found to be a monoene. The monomer, 4-[(4-hydroxy-2-pentadecenylphenyl)diazenyl]phenol was prepared from cardanol. It was a dihydroxy compound as characterized by CHN analyzer, UV, and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The polyurethane was synthesized from this dihydroxy compound by the treatment with 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) in dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent at 80–90°C under nitrogen atmosphere. The polymer was characterized by 1H-NMR, FTIR, and UV spectroscopy. The elemental analysis was done for determining the percentage content of C, H, and N, and the intrinsic viscosity [η] of polymer showed 1.85 dL/gm. Thermogravimetric investigations (TGA) of the cardanol, the dihydroxy compound, and the polyurethane were performed to study their decomposition. The semicrystalline nature of the PU was confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer (DMTA). The wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXS) study of PU shew a broad amorphous halo indicative of absence of crystallinity in the polymer, which has been explained as due to strong hydrogen bonding in the hard phase. The asymmetric total synthesis of one of the stereoisomers of the naturally occurring 14-membered ring macrolide paecilomycin-F (5′-epi) has been reported in this article. The main highlight of the synthetic strategy involves the successful application of a ring closing metathesis (RCM) reaction at a late stage. Asymmetric Keck allylation, Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation, and Mitsunobu esterification have also been used successfully for the total synthesis of 5′-epi-paecilomycin-F.  相似文献

The first reported structure of a pyridin‐2‐ylboron derivative, viz. the title compound, C11H15BBrNO2, (I), is compared with its regioisomer 2‐bromo‐5‐(4,4,5,5‐tetra­methyl‐1,3,2‐dioxa­borolan‐2‐yl)­pyridine, (II) [Sopková‐de Oliveira Santos, Lancelot, Bouillon & Rault (2003). Acta Cryst. C59, o111o113 ]. Structural differences are observed, firstly in the orientation of the dioxaborolane ring with respect to the pyridine ring and secondly in the bond angles of the BO2 group. These differences do not explain the experimentally observed differences in chemical reactivity between (I) and (II) but do confirm the relatively lower stability of (I). However, ab initio calculations of the HOMO (highest occupied molecular orbital) and LUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital), based on the known crystal structures of the two compounds, show different distributions, which correspond to the differences observed during chemical reactions.  相似文献

Dip coated vacuum annealed zinc tin oxide thin films on soda lime silica glass have been deposited from the precursor sols containing zinc acetate dihydrate and tin (IV) chloride pentahydrate (Zn:Sn = 67:33, atomic ratio in percentage) in 2-methoxy ethanol by varying sol pH (0.85–5.5). Crystallinity, morphology, optical and photocatalytic properties of the films strongly depend on sol pH. Measurement of grazing incidence X-ray diffraction confirms the presence of hexagonal nano ZnO in the films derived from the sols of pH < 5.5. Film crystallinity deteriorates on increasing sol pH and the film deposited from the sol of pH 5.5 shows XRD amorphous but the selected area diffraction pattern and HRTEM image evidence the presence of nano Zn2SnO4 (size, 5–6 nm). Direct band gap energy of films increases on increasing sol pH. To visualize the film surface microstructure, FESEM study has been done and a rod-like surface feature is revealed in the film deposited from the sol of pH 2.85. A dependence of precursor sol pH on the photocatalytic activity of films towards degradation of Rhodamine 6G dye under UV (254 nm) irradiation is found and the highest decomposition rate constant, ‘k’ value is obtained from the film prepared from the sol of pH 5.5. The presence of zinc deficient nano Zn2SnO4 in the film may consider for generating the highest ‘k’ value. We also measure gelling time, viscosity of sols as well as UV and FTIR studies on the films and propose chemical reactions.  相似文献

Formation of the O?O bond is considered the critical step in oxidative water cleavage to produce dioxygen. High‐valent metal complexes with terminal oxo (oxido) ligands are commonly regarded as instrumental for oxygen evolution, but direct experimental evidence is lacking. Herein, we describe the formation of the O?O bond in solution, from non‐heme, N5‐coordinate oxoiron(IV) species. Oxygen evolution from oxoiron(IV) is instantaneous once meta‐chloroperbenzoic acid is administered in excess. Oxygen‐isotope labeling reveals two sources of dioxygen, pointing to mechanistic branching between HAT (hydrogen atom transfer)‐initiated free‐radical pathways of the peroxides, which are typical of catalase‐like reactivity, and iron‐borne O?O coupling, which is unprecedented for non‐heme/peroxide systems. Interpretation in terms of [FeIV(O)] and [FeV(O)] being the resting and active principles of the O?O coupling, respectively, concurs with fundamental mechanistic ideas of (electro‐) chemical O?O coupling in water oxidation catalysis (WOC), indicating that central mechanistic motifs of WOC can be mimicked in a catalase/peroxidase setting.  相似文献

UV‐chromophores contained in human skin may act as endogenous sensitizers of photooxidative stress and can be employed therapeutically for the photodynamic elimination of malignant cells. Here, we report that 6‐formylindolo[3,2‐b]carbazole (FICZ), a tryptophan‐derived photoproduct and endogenous aryl hydrocarbon receptor agonist, displays activity as a nanomolar sensitizer of photooxidative stress, causing the photodynamic elimination of human melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. FICZ is an efficient UVA/Visible photosensitizer having absorbance maximum at 390 nm (ε = 9180 L mol?1 cm?1), and fluorescence and singlet oxygen quantum yields of 0.15 and 0.5, respectively, in methanol. In a panel of cultured human squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma skin cancer cells (SCC‐25, HaCaT‐ras II‐4, A375, G361, LOX), photodynamic induction of cell death was elicited by the combined action of solar simulated UVA (6.6 J cm?2) and FICZ (≥10 nm ), preceded by the induction of oxidative stress as substantiated by MitoSOX Red fluorescence microscopy, comet detection of Fpg‐sensitive oxidative genomic lesions and upregulated stress response gene expression (HMOX1, HSPA1A, HSPA6). In SKH1 “high‐risk” mouse skin, an experimental FICZ/UVA photodynamic treatment regimen blocked the progression of UV‐induced tumorigenesis suggesting feasibility of harnessing FICZ for the photooxidative elimination of malignant cells in vivo.  相似文献
