Several aspects of relations between braces and non-degenerate involutive set-theoretic solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation are discussed and many consequences are derived. In particular, for each positive integer n a finite square-free multipermutation solution of the Yang–Baxter equation with multipermutation level n and an abelian involutive Yang–Baxter group is constructed. This answers a problem of Gateva-Ivanova and Cameron. It is proved that finite non-degenerate involutive set-theoretic solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation whose associated involutive Yang–Baxter group is abelian are multipermutation solutions. Earlier the authors proved this with the additional square-free hypothesis on the solutions. It is also proved that finite square-free non-degenerate involutive set-theoretic solutions associated to a left brace are multipermutation solutions.  相似文献

Artificial intelligence is one of the fastest-developing areas of science that covers a remarkably wide range of problems to be solved. It has found practical application in many areas of human activity, also in medicine. One of the directions of cooperation between computer science and medicine is to assist in diagnosing and proposing treatment methods with the use of IT tools. This study is the result of collaboration with the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, from where a database containing information about patients suffering from Bruton’s disease was made available. This is a rare disorder, difficult to detect in the first months of life. It is estimated that one in 70,000 to 90,000 children will develop Bruton’s disease. But even these few cases need detailed attention from doctors. Based on the data contained in the database, data mining was performed. During this process, knowledge was discovered that was presented in a way that is understandable to the user, in the form of decision trees. The best models obtained were used for the implementation of expert systems. Based on the data introduced by the user, the system conducts expertise and determines the severity of the course of the disease or the severity of the mutation. The CLIPS language was used for developing the expert system. Then, using this language, software was developed producing six expert systems. In the next step, experimental verification was performed, which confirmed the correctness of the developed systems.  相似文献

We present a method for the quantification and correction of geometrical/intensity distortions of magnetic resonance images predominantly caused by bulk magnetic susceptibility shifts due to susceptibility heterogeneities of measured biologic tissues and shape of the object under investigation. The method includes precise and fast measurements of the static magnetic-field distribution inside the measured object and automated data processing. Magnetic-field deviations in the range −2.4; 2.6 ppm were found in the human brain at B0 = 1.5 T. For routinely used imaging parameters, with a read gradient strength of about 1 mT/m, the magnetic-field perturbations in the human brain can cause geometrical distortions up to ±4 mm and intensity changes up to ±50%. MR images corrected by the described method are suitable for planning high precision applications in neurosurgery.  相似文献

Two-color two-photon induced photoconductivity in a GaAsP diffusion type photodiode is demonstrated by measuring femtosecond cross-correlation functions for widely separated wavelength pairs of 775 and 1300 nm. Results are obtained for a range of tunable wavelengths and average powers of the incident lasers by measuring the two-photon induced photocurrent as a function of the optical delay between the pulses. The temporal autocorrelation of femtosecond laser pulses in the near-field of a small diameter aluminum coated optical fiber tip is also obtained with the same photodiode method for single colors.  相似文献

Applying a Lindemann like criterion obtained previously by Kierfeld et al. [J. Kierfeld, T. Nattermann, T. Hwa, Phys. Rev. B 55 (1997) 626], we estimate the magnetic field and temperature for a high-Tc superconductor, at which a topologically ordered vortex glass phase becomes unstable with respect to a disorder-induced formation of dislocations. The employed criterion is shown to be equivalent to a conventional phenomenological Lindemann criterion including the values for the numerical factors, i.e., for the Lindemann number. The positional correlation length of the topologically ordered vortex glass is calculated.  相似文献

This article is the first in a series dealing with the thermodynamic properties of quantum Coulomb systems.In this first part, we consider a general real-valued function E defined on all bounded open sets of R3. Our aim is to give sufficient conditions such that E has a thermodynamic limit. This means that the limit E(Ωn)|Ωn|−1 exists for all ‘regular enough’ sequence Ωn with growing volume, |Ωn|→∞, and is independent of the considered sequence.The sufficient conditions presented in our work all have a clear physical interpretation. In the next paper, we show that the free energies of many different quantum Coulomb systems satisfy these assumptions, hence have a thermodynamic limit.  相似文献

We introduce equivariant tree models in algebraic statistics, which unify and generalise existing tree models such as the general Markov model, the strand symmetric model, and group-based models such as the Jukes–Cantor and Kimura models. We focus on the ideals of such models. We show how the ideals for general trees can be determined from the ideals for stars. A corollary of theoretical importance is that the ideal for a general tree is generated by the ideals of its flattenings at vertices. The main novelty is that our results yield generators of the full ideal rather than an ideal which only defines the model set-theoretically. J. α-Fetoprotein (AFP) is a prospective biopharmaceutical candidate currently undergoing advanced-stage clinical trials for autoimmune indications. The high AFP expression yields in the form of inclusion bodies in Escherichia coli renders the inclusion body route potentially advantageous for process scale commercial manufacture, if high-throughput refolding can be achieved. This study reports the successful development of an ‘anion-exchange chromatography’-based refolding process for recombinant human AFP (rhAFP), which carries the challenges of contaminant spectrum and molecule complexity. rhAFP was readily refolded on-column at rhAFP concentrations unachievable with dilution refolding due to viscosity and solubility constraints. DEAE-FF functioned as a refolding enhancer to achieve rhAFP refolding yield of 28% and product purity of 95% in 3 h, at 1 mg/ml protein refolding concentration. Optimization of both refolding and chromatography column operation parameters (i.e. resin chemistry, column geometry, redox potential and feed conditioning) significantly improved rhAFP refolding efficiency. Compared to dilution refolding, on-column rhAFP refolding productivity was 9-fold higher, while that of off-column refolding was more than an order of magnitude higher. Successful demonstration that a simple anion-exchange column can, in a single step, readily refold and purify semi-crude rhAFP comprising 16 disulfide bonds, will certainly extend the application of column refolding to a myriad of complex industrial inclusion body proteins.  相似文献
