A polytyramine-copper oxalate nanocomposite modified copper(PTCOxNMC) electrode prepared by electropolymerization was examined for electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of methanol in alkaline solution using cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy. The prepared PTCOxNMC electrode showed a significantly high response for adsorbed methanol oxidation. The effects of various parameters such as potential scan rate and methanol concentration on the electrocatalytic oxidation at the surface of the PTCOxNMC electrode were investigated. Spectrometry techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used to determine the surface physical characteristics of the modified electrode and revealed that the polytyramine-copper oxalate nanocomposite particles were highly dispersed on the surface of the copper electrode with a narrow size up to 40 nm. The very high current density obtained for the catalytic oxidation may have resulted from the high electrode surface area caused by modification with the poly-tyramine-copper oxalate nanocomposite. 相似文献

A systematic experimental and theoretical study of the origin of the enhanced photocatalytic performance of Mg‐doped ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and Mg‐doped ZnO/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites has been performed. In addition to Mg, Cd was chosen as a doping material for the bandgap engineering of ZnO NPs, and its effects were compared with that of Mg in the photocatalytic performance of ZnO nanostructures. The experimental results revealed that Mg, as a doping material, recognizably ameliorates the photocatalytic performance of ZnO NPs and ZnO/graphene nanocomposites. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images showed that the Mg‐doped and Cd‐doped ZnO NPs had the same size. The optical properties of the samples indicated that Cd narrowed the bandgap, whereas Mg widened the bandgap of the ZnO NPs and the oxygen vacancy concentration was similar for both samples. Based on the experimental results, the narrowing of the bandgap, the particle size, and the oxygen vacancy did not enhance the photocatalytic performance. However, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) and Barret–Joyner–Halenda (BJH) models showed that Mg caused increased textural properties of the samples, whereas rGO played an opposite role. A theoretical study, conducted by using DFT methods, showed that the improvement in the photocatalytic performance of Mg‐doped ZnO NPs was due to a higher electron transfer from the Mg‐doped ZnO NPs to the dye molecules compared with pristine ZnO and Cd‐doped ZnO NPs. In this paper for the first time, a partial silicon-on-insulator (PSOI) lateral double-diffused metal-oxide-semiconductor-field-effect-transistor (LDMOSFET) is proposed with a novel trench which improves breakdown voltage. The introduced trench in the partial buried oxide enhances peak of the electric field and is positioned in the drain side of the drift region to maximize breakdown voltage. We demonstrate that the electric field is modified by producing two additional electric field peaks, which decrease the common peaks near the drain and gate junctions in the trench-partial-silicon-on-insulator (T-PSOI) structure. Hence, a more uniform electric field is obtained. Two dimensional (2D) simulations show that the breakdown voltage of T-PSOI is nearly 64% higher in comparison with partial silicon on insulator (PSOI) structure and alleviate self heating effect approximately 9% and 15% in comparison with its conventional PSOI (C-PSOI) and conventional SOI (C-SOI) counterparts respectively. In addition the current of the T-PSOI, C-PSOI, conventional SOI (C-SOI), and fully depleted conventional SOI (FC-SOI) structures are 90, 82, 74, and 44 μA, respectively for a drain–source voltage VDS = 30 V and gate–source voltage VGS = 10 V. 相似文献

Background
Inflammation around cell bodies of primary sensory neurons and retinal ganglion cells enhances expression of neuronal growth-associated genes and stimulates axonal regeneration. We have asked if inflammation would have similar effects on corticospinal neurons, which normally show little response to spinal cord injury. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was applied onto the pial surface of the motor cortex of adult rats with or without concomitant injury of the corticospinal tract at C4. Inflammation around corticospinal tract cell bodies in the motor cortex was assessed by immunohistochemistry for OX42 (a microglia and macrophage marker). The two new half sandwich amino acids complexes of osmium, i.e. [Os(η6‐p‐cymene)(κ1‐N‐(rac)‐phenylglycine methylester)Cl2] ( A ) and [Os(η6‐p‐cymene)(κ1‐N,N′‐(S)‐phenylalanineamido)Cl] ( B ) have been synthesized and employed for chemoselective reduction of ketones (nine α,β‐unsaturated ketones and three saturated ketones). The complexes were characterized by spectroscopic as well as analytical methods; their solid structures were confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. Both of the osmium complexes catalyze the reduction of α,β‐unsaturated ketones to saturated ketones via isomerization of the initially produced allylic alcohols. The reducible substrates were studied to obtain information on the steric and electronic factors which may affect the interaction of the substrate with the metal center and, thus, control the selectivity of the hydrogen‐transfer reductions. A coupled boundary element–finite difference model of surface wave motion over a wall turbulent flow

An effective numerical technique is presented to model turbulent motion of a standing surface wave in a tank. The equations of motion for turbulent boundary layers at the solid surfaces are coupled with the potential flow in the bulk of the fluid, and a mixed BEM–finite difference technique is used to model the wave motion and the corresponding boundary layer flow. A mixing‐length theory is used for turbulence modelling. The model results are in good agreement with previous physical and numerical experiments. By synthesizing a molecular imprinted polymer as an efficient adsorbent, ciprofloxacin was micro‐extracted from seawater, human blood plasma and tablet samples by pipette‐tip micro solid phase extraction and determined spectrophotometrically. Response surface methodology was applied with central composite design to build a model based on factors affecting on microextraction of ciprofloxacin; including volume of eluent solvent, number of extraction cycles, number of elution cycles, and pH of sample. Other factors that affect extraction efficiency, such as type of eluent solvent, volume of sample, type, and amount of salt were optimized with one‐variable‐at‐a‐time method. Under optimum extraction condition, pH of sample solution was 7.0, volume of eluent solvent (methanol) was 200 µL, volume of sample solution was 10 mL, and the number of extraction and elution cycles was five and seven, respectively, amount of Na2SO4 (as salt) and MIP (as sorbent) were optimized at 150 and 2 mg, respectively. The linear range of the suggested method under optimum extraction factors was 5–150 µg/L with a limit of detection of 1.50 µg/L for the analyte. A new approach for a cloud point extraction electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometric method was used for determining bismuth. The aqueous analyte was acidified with sulfuric acid (pH 3.0-3.5). Triton X-114 was added as a surfactant and dithizone was used as a complexing agent.After phase separation at 50 °C based on the cloud point separation of the mixture, the surfactant-rich phase was diluted using tetrahydrofuran (THF). Twenty microliters of the enriched solution and 10 μl of 0.1% (w/v) Pd(NO3)2 as chemical modifier were dispersed into the graphite tube and the analyte determined by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. After optimizing extraction conditions and instrumental parameters, a preconcentration factor of 196 was obtained for a sample of only 10 ml. The detection limit was 0.02 ng ml−1 and the analytical curve was linear for the concentration range of 0.04-0.60 ng ml−1. Relative standard deviations were <5%.The method was successfully applied for the extraction and determination of bismuth in tap water and biological samples (urine and hair). 相似文献
