Effect of Mg2+ and SO2*4 on wettability alteration of modified calcite surface to oil-wet by stearic acid (SA) is addressed both in macroscopic and nanoscale using contact angle and atomic force microscopy technique (AFM), respectively. No apparent difference is shown by AFM images, compared to a clear trend that is obtained form contact angle measurements, where Mg2+ ions have shown to alter the modified calcite surface to more water-wet than that in presence of SO2*4 ions. The adhesion forces, due to the presence of SA, are shown to be less pronounced in presence of Mg2+ ion than that in case of SO2*4. This confirms the macroscale measurements of contact angle by nanoscale level. The phenomenon of the alteration to more water-wet calcite surface is related to the distribution coefficient of SA in n-decane/water system, which decreased in presence of Mg2+ and SO2*4 ions, indicating less adsorption of SA on calcite surface.  相似文献

The effect of long-chain fatty acid adsorption on the wetting states of calcite and mica powders is investigated. The selected long-chain fatty acids are saturated or unsaturated aliphatic acids (stearic acid and oleic acid, respectively) and naphthenic acids with saturated or unsaturated aromatic rings (18-cyclohexyloctadecanoic acid and 18-phenoloctadecanoic acid, respectively). The amount of irreversibly adsorbed acid is determined by thermogravimetric analysis. The affinity of water and n-decane for these samples before and after modification is deduced from their adsorption isotherm and microcalorimetry. Thermodynamic analysis of surface pressure and spreading tension are performed based on adsorption isotherms. The enthalpy versus coverage curve for water adsorption and its comparison to liquefaction enthalpy is shown to be a meaningful method for characterizing the wettability of a surface. The naphthenic acid with unsaturated aromatic ring deeply modifies the calcite to an oil-wet state. The mica powder was not as strongly modified as calcite by these acid molecules.  相似文献

A series of moderately conducting and soluble copolymers of poly(aniline-co-o-bromoaniline) (PA-co-o-BrA) having different compositions was obtained by in the situ copolymerization method using different concentrations of monomer units of aniline and o-bromoaniline in the feed. The physio-chemical properties of the copolymers have been studied with sophisticated instrumental techniques. The electrochemical study of the copolymers was conducted by cyclic voltammetry. The band gap of the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the copolymers was evaluated by UV-vis spectroscopy. The morphological study was conducted by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy at high magnification which shows non-uniform tubular to globular morphology of the copolymers. Surface profiles of the polymers were studied by AFM analyses, and it has confirmed the smooth surface of the copolymers while the homopolymers possesses non-uniform surfaces. The particle size distribution curve indicates that the particle sizes vary in the range of 5 to 9000 nm, and a small fraction of particles possess a size in the range of 5–10 nm.  相似文献

A series of sulfated mixed oxides of alumina and zirconia having a relative composition of 5% and 10% of ZrO2 was prepared by means of sol-gel methods using zirconium propoxide or zirconium acetylacetone as precursor. The characterization of the physicochemical properties was carried out using 27Al NMR, XRD, N2 adsorption at 77 K, thermogravimetry, FTIR analysis of adsorbed pyridine, 27Al NMR-MAS and XPS. The catalytic properties were studied by means of isomerization of n-hexane at 250°C. Results obtained allowed to propose that the use of Zr(acac)4 as a zirconium precursor leads to a better retention of sulfate species which seems to form polymeric superficial sites. The symmetry of aluminium undergo an increase from tetrahedral to octahedral coordination and Zirconium atoms seems to be located in the second coordination sphere of Al. XRD analysis indicated an amorphous structure of obtained solids calcined at 650°C. The sulfated solids presented both Lewis and Brönsted acidic sites. Catalytic results showed that both activity and selectivity towards isomerization products were better using Zr (acac)4 as precursor. Furthermore, the increase of the Zr loading affected considerably the catalytic properties of sulfated zirconia supported by alumina.  相似文献

In this article, we study the blow‐up of the damped wave equation in the scale‐invariant case and in the presence of two nonlinearities. More precisely, we consider the following equation: u t t ? Δ u + μ 1 + t u t = | u t | p + | u | q , in ? N × [ 0 , ) , with small initial data. For μ < N ( q ? 1 ) 2 and μ ∈ (0, μ?) , where μ? > 0 is depending on the nonlinearties' powers and the space dimension (μ? satisfies ( q ? 1 ) ( N + 2 μ ? ? 1 ) p ? 2 = 4 ), we prove that the wave equation, in this case, behaves like the one without dissipation (μ = 0 ). Our result completes the previous studies in the case where the dissipation is given by μ ( 1 + t ) β u t ; β > 1 , where, contrary to what we obtain in the present work, the effect of the damping is not significant in the dynamics. Interestingly, in our case, the influence of the damping term μ 1 + t u t is important.  相似文献

Elastic solutions for axisymmetric rotating disks made of functionally graded material with variable thickness are presented. The material properties and disk thickness profile are assumed to be represented by two power-law distributions. In the case of hollow disk, based on the form of the power-law distribution for the mechanical properties of the constituent components and the thickness profile function, both analytical and semi-analytical solutions are given under free–free and fixed-free boundary conditions. For the solid disk, only semi-analytical solution is presented. The effects of the material grading index and the geometry of the disk on the stresses and displacements are investigated. It is found that a functionally graded rotating disk with parabolic or hyperbolic convergent thickness profile has smaller stresses and displacements compared with that of uniform thickness. It is seen that the maximum radial stress for the solid functionally graded disk with parabolic thickness profile is not at the centre like uniform thickness disk. Results of this paper suggest that a rotating functionally graded disk with parabolic concave or hyperbolic convergent thickness profile can be more efficient than the one with uniform thickness.  相似文献

Poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA)/poly(ethyleneimine) (PEI)/poly(ethyleneglycol) (PEG) blend membranes were prepared by solution casting followed by solvent evaporation. The effects of the blend polymer composition on the membrane structure and CO2/N2 permeation characteristics were investigated. IR spectroscopy evidenced strong hydrogen bonding interactions between amorphous PVA and PEI, and weaker interactions between PVA and PEG. DSC studies showed that PVA crystallization was partially inhibited by the interactions between amorphous PVA and PEI blend, in which PEG separated into nodules. The CO2 permeability decreased with an increase in CO2 partial pressure in feed gas, while the N2 permeability remained constant. This result indicated that only CO2 was transported by the facilitated transport mechanism. The CO2 and N2 permeabilities increased monotonically with the PEI content in the blend membranes, whereas the ideal selectivity of CO2 to N2 transport showed a maximum. When CO2 is humidified, its permeability through the blend membranes is much higher than that of dry CO2, but the change in permeability due to the presence of humidity is reversible.  相似文献
