We investigate the spin dynamics related to the Gilbert damping constant in infinite continuous thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA), based on numerical and analytic approaches. We obtain the dynamic susceptibility of the infinite continuous thin films with various PMA energies by using micromagnetic simulations with periodic boundary conditions. These results are compared with the analytic solution that we derived from the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation. Based on our numerical and analytic studies, we support the physical analysis for results in the experimental determination of the Gilbert damping constant for PMA materials. 相似文献

A sweep optical frequency synthesizer is demonstrated by using a frequency-stabilized optical frequency comb and injection-locked distributed-Bragg-reflector (DBR) laser diode. The injection-locked DBR laser acts as a single-frequency filter and, simultaneously, a high-gain amplifier of the optical frequency comb. The frequency instability of the heterodyne beat signal between two independently injection-locked DBR lasers is measured to be 2.3 x 10(-16) at 1 s averaging time. The output frequency of the sweep optical frequency synthesizer can be precisely tuned over 1 GHz, and a saturated absorption spectrum of the Cs D2 line at 852 nm is recorded by the injected DBR laser. 相似文献

Simulated moving bed (SMB) processes have been widely used in the sugar industries with ion‐exchange resin as a stationary phase. D ‐Psicose, a rare monosaccharide known as a valuable pharmaceutical substrate, was synthesized by the enzymatic conversion from D ‐fructose. The SMB process was adopted to separate D ‐psicose from D ‐fructose. Before the SMB experiment, the reaction mixture including D ‐psicose and D ‐fructose was treated by a deashing process to remove contaminants, such as buffers, proteins, and other organic materials. Four columns packed with Dowex 50WX4‐Ca2+ (200–400 mesh) ion‐exchange resins were used in the four‐zone SMB. Single‐step frontal analysis was performed to estimate the isotherm parameters of each monosaccharide. The operating conditions of the SMB process were determined based on the Equilibrium Theory. According to the simulation of the SMB process, the purity and yield of extract product (D ‐psicose) achieved were 99.04 and 97.46%, respectively and those of raffinate product (D ‐fructose) were 99.06 and 99.53%, respectively. Under the optimized operating condition, complete separation (extract purity = 99.36%, raffinate purity = 99.67%) was achieved experimentally. 相似文献

A simple and sensitive liquid chromatographic assay with fluorescence detection assay was developed for the determination of zearalenone levels in rat serum. The assay utilized a single liquid–liquid extraction with t-butyl methyl ether and isocratic elution using a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and 0.1% triethylamine in distilled water (pH = 6) (50:50, v/v). Linearity was observed over a concentration range from 10 to 1,000 ng mL?1 (r = 0.9995), with the limit of quantification at 10 ng mL?1 with 100 μL of rat serum. Polypyrrole (PPy) nanotubes were readily fabricated through chemical oxidation polymerization in sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT) reverse (water-in-oil) emulsions. The reverse cylindrical micelle phase was characterized, and the key factors affecting the formation of PPy nanotubes were systematically inspected. AOT reverse cylindrical micelles were prepared via a cooperative interaction between an aqueous FeCl3 solution and AOT in an apolar solvent. In the H2O/FeCl3/AOT/apolar solvent system, the aqueous FeCl3 solution played a role in increasing the ionic strength and decreasing the second critical micelle concentration of AOT. As a result, AOT reverse cylindrical micelles could be spontaneously formed in an apolar solvent. In addition, iron cations were adsorbed to the anionic AOT headgroups that were capable of extracting metal cations from the aqueous core. Under these conditions, the addition of pyrrole monomer resulted in the chemical oxidation polymerization of the corresponding monomer at the surface of AOT reverse cylindrical micelles, followed by the formation of tubular PPy nanostructures. In a typical composition (74.0 wt % hexane, 22.4 wt % AOT, and 3.6 wt % aqueous FeCl3 solution at 15 degrees C), the average diameter of PPy nanotubes was approximately 94 nm and their length was more than 2 mum. The PPy nanotube dimensions were affected by synthetic variables such as the weight ratio of aqueous FeCl3 solution/AOT, type of apolar solvent, and reaction temperature. The catalytic activities in syndiospecific polymerization of styrene in hydrocarbon using homogeneous Ti-based catalysts in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) were investigated through UV/visible spectroscopic analysis. A strong UV absorption band of CpTiCl3, itself, incipiently appeared at λmax = 400 nm in toluene, followed by a bathochromic shift with its remarkable decrease by the addition of MAO. The absorption band intensity at λmax = 400 nm arising from delocalization of π-electrons on the cyclopentadienyl ring decreased by methylation in the presence of MAO with regard to the mechanism for production of an active center (“cation-like”), for example, the change of the ionic nature. The intensity decrease at λmax = 400 nm was suppressed over 2000 of the [Al]/[Ti] ratio. In the case of Ti(OC4H9)4 having a σ-ligand, new and broad UV absorption bands were developed at λmax = 340 nm and 410 nm in the presence of MAO in contrast with the CpTiCl3/MAO system. Comparison between the relative absorption intensities at λmax = 340 nm and 410 nm led to the determination of a maximum catalytic activity of Ti(OC4H9)4 in the presence of MAO related to the polymerization yield. The maximum polymerization yield was observed with regard to the relative maximum value of the absorption intensity at λmax = 410 nm with the [Al]/[Ti] ratio (500). From observation for polymorphism of the final products via differential scanning calorimetric analysis (DSC), the thermally unstable β-form seemed to be produced by the CpTiCl3/MAO system independent of the MAO concentration, the Ti(OC4H9)4/MAO system produced a thermally stable α-form in the low MAO concentration (up to 100 of the [Al]/[Ti] ratio), and a mixture of α- and/or β-forms over 200 of the [Al]/[Ti] ratio under our experimental conditions. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. This paper reports a new polyimide design with high internal free volume elements for fast mass transport simultaneously with high selectivity. Here, we show that the polymer design using a three‐dimensional rigid molecular structure having internal void space can lead to the formation of high fractional free volume with proper cavity size to separate small gas molecules with high selectivities as high permeabilities. These findings could strongly impact emerging gas separation applications using polymeric membranes such as natural gas purification and biogas purification to get clean energy resources.
