A method for structured linear total least norm on blind deconvolution problem

The regularized structured total least norm (RSTLN) method finds an approximate solutionx and error matrixE to the overdetermined linear system (H+E)x≈b, preserving structure ofH. A new separation scheme by parts of variables for the regularized structured total least norm on blind deconvolution problem is suggested. A method combining the regularized structured total least norm method with a separation by parts of variables can be obtain a better approximated solution and a smaller residual. Computational results for the practical problem with Block Toeplitz with Toeplitz Block structure show the new method ensures more efficiency on image restoration.     

Synthesis of novel pyridazine nucleosides

Practical synthesis of (S)‐7‐(2‐isopropylamino)ethylcamptothecin hydrochloride,potent topoisomerase I inhibitor

A practical semi‐synthetic method of (S)‐7‐(2‐isopropylamino)ethylcamptothecin hydrochloride has been developed. The Mannich reaction of (S)‐7‐methylcamptothecin with isopropylamine hydrochloride in dimethyl sulfoxide as a formaldehyde source gave the desired product in moderate yield.     

Deep‐red light‐emitting phosphorescent dendrimer encapsulated tris‐[2‐benzo[b]thiophen‐2‐yl‐pyridyl] iridium (III) core for light‐emitting device applications

New deep‐red light‐emitting phosphorescent dendrimers with hole‐transporting carbazole dendrons were synthesized by reacting tris(2‐benzo[b]thiophen‐2‐yl‐pyridyl) iridium (III) complex with carbazolyl dendrons by DCC‐catalyzed esterification. The resulting first‐, second‐, and third‐generation dendrimers were found to be highly efficient as solution‐processable emitting materials and for use in host‐free electrophosphorescent light‐emitting diodes. We fabricated a host‐free dendrimer EL device with configuration ITO/PEDOT:PSS (40 nm)/dendrimer (55 nm)/BCP (10 nm)/Alq₃ (40 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm) and characterized the device performance. The multilayered devices showed luminance of 561 cd/m² at 383.4 mA/cm² (12 V) for 15 , 1302 cd/m² at 321.3 mA/cm² (14 V) for 16 , and 422 cd/m² at 94.4 mA/cm² (18 V) for 17 . The third‐generation dendrimer, 17 (η_ext = 6.12% at 7.5 V), showed the highest external quantum efficiency (EQE) with an increase in the density of the light‐harvesting carbazole dendron. Three dendrimers exhibited considerably pure deep‐red emission with CIE 1931 (Commission International de L'Eclairage) chromaticity coordinates of x = 0.70, y = 0.30. The CIE coordinates remained very stable with the current density. The integration of rigid hole‐transporting dendrons and phosphorescent complexes provides a new route to design highly efficient solution‐processable materials for dendrimer light‐emitting diode (DLED) applications. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Recyclable gold nanoparticle catalyst for the aerobic alcohol oxidation and C-C bond forming reaction between primary alcohols and ketones under ambient conditions

A recyclable gold catalyst is synthesized from readily available reagents by immobilizing gold nanoparticles in aluminum oxyhydroxide support through a simple sol-gel method. The catalyst showed the high activity even at room temperature in the aerobic oxidation of various alcohols and in the coupling reaction between primary alcohols and ketones.     

Double Modification of Electrode Surface for the Selective Detection of Epinephrine and Its Application to Flow Injection Amperometric Analysis

A glassy carbon electrode having two polymer layers has been applied to selectively detect epinephrine. The inner layer formed by electropolymerization of macrocyclic nickel complex functioned as an electrocatalyst for epinephrine oxidation and the outer layer composed of hydrolyzed polyurethane γ‐benzyl L ‐glutamate as a screening layer. Differential pulse voltammetry showed almost 100% recovery of epinephrine even in 100‐fold excess of interferents. When applied to a dual glassy carbon electrode as an amperometric detector in flow injection analysis, a linear response over 0.1 μM and 10 μM was obtained. Recovery tested for 5‐fold diluted human urine samples was 97.5%.
