Titania nanotubes were prepared using a hydrothermal method. Hydrogen titanate nanotubes (H-TNTs) with an anatase phase changed to anatase nanocrystals at about 500 °C, and then a rutile structure at ∼800 °C. A sharp and symmetrical electron spin resonance (ESR) signal (g=2.003), attributed to a single-electron-trapped oxygen-vacancy (SETOV), was obtained at the annealed H-TNTs (T<500 °C). The SETOV signal increased and maximized remarkably at about 400–500 °C. Then, the nanotube structure appeared to be demolished. Yet, when the vacuum-heated H-TNTs were sealed in N2 or Ar ambient, some additional ESR signals appeared besides the SETOV signal. The broad asymmetric ESR signal (g=1.98) was attributed to a surface oxygen vacancy related to the Ti3+ sites in a reduced TiO2 matrix. The vacuum-heated sodium titanate nanotubes (Na-TNTs) showed only the SETOV signal (T<500 °C). PACS 61.46.Fg; 61.72.Ji; 76.30.-v  相似文献

We report stress dependence of growth characteristics of epitaxial γ-Na0.7CoO2 films on various substrates deposited by pulsed laser deposition method. On the sapphire substrate, the γ-Na0.7CoO2 thin film exhibits spiral surface growth with multi-terraces and highly crystallized texture. For the γ-Na0.7CoO2 thin film grown on the (1 1 1) SrTiO3 substrate, the nano-islands of ∼30 nm diameter on the hexagonal grains are observed. These islands indicate that the growth mode changes from step-flow growth mode to Stranski-Krastanow (SK) growth mode. On the (1 1 1) MgO substrate, the large grains formed by excess adatoms covering an aperture between hexagonal grains are observed. These experimental demonstrations and controllability could provide opportunities of strain effects of NaxCoO2, physical properties of thin films, and growth dynamics of heterogeneous epitaxial thin films.  相似文献

The water self-diffusion behavior in chlorella water suspension was investigated by pulsed field gradient NMR technique. Three types of water was determined, which differs according to the self-diffusion coefficients; bulk water, extracellular and intracellular water. Intracellular and extracellular water self-diffusion were restricted, and the sizes of restriction regions were 3.4 microm and 17 microm, respectively. The water molecular exchange process between these three diffusion regions was investigated. The residence time and exchange rate constant for chlorella cells were obtained. The cell wall permeability determined from the rate constant as 3 x 10(-6) m/s agreed with the permeability 10(-6) m/s obtained from time dependence of intracellular water self-diffusion coefficient. The structural cluster model of chlorella cell is estimated to describe the extracellular water self-diffusion in chlorella water suspension.  相似文献

The time-resolved dynamics of plasma self-channeling and refractive index bulk modification in silica glasses were first observed in situ using a high-intensity femtosecond (110 fs) Ti:sapphire laser (λp=790 nm). Plasma channeling is induced in silica glass at an irradiation higher than an input intensity of 1.5×1012 W/cm2 and photoinduces either the refractive-index modification or optical crack modification. In the domain of refractive-index modification, the lifetime of induced plasma self-channeling was 20 ps and the structural transition time for forming the refractive-index change was 10 ps. In the domain of optical cracks, however, the lifetime of induced plasma formation was 30 ps and the structural transition time for forming the optical cracks was 40 ps. According to electron spin resonance spectroscopic (ESP) measurement, it was found that the defect concentration of the SiE center increased significantly in the refractive index modification region. A maximum value of the refractive-index change Δn was measured to be 1.6×10-2. The intensity profile of the output beam transmitted through the refractive-index modification showed that the bulk modification produced a permanent optical waveguide. The goal of this study was to determine the expected normal range of variation in spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) of brain tissue in vivo, as a function of age. A previously validated precise and accurate inversion recovery method was used to map T1 transversely, at the level of the basal ganglia, in a study population of 115 healthy subjects (ages 4 to 72; 57 male and 58 female). Least-squares regression analysis shows that T1 varied as a function of age in pulvinar nucleus (R2 = 56%), anterior thalamus (R2 = 51%), caudate (R2 = 50%), frontal white matter (R2 = 47%), optic radiation (R2 = 39%), putamen (R2 = 36%), genu (R2 = 22%), occipital white matter (R2 = 20%) (all p < 0.0001), and cortical gray matter (R2 = 53%) (p < 0.001). There were no significant differences in T1 between men and women. T1 declines throughout adolescence and early adulthood, to achieve a minimum value in the fourth to sixth decade of life, then T1 begins to increase. Quantitative magnetic resonance imaging provides evidence that brain tissue continues to change throughout the lifespan among healthy subjects with no neurologic deficits. Age-related changes follow a strikingly different schedule in different brain tissues; white matter tracts tend to reach a minimum T1 value, and to increase again, sooner than do gray matter tracts. Such normative data may prove useful for the early detection of brain pathology in patients.  相似文献

Beam recombination characteristics were numerically investigated in array laser amplification using stimulated Brillouin scattering phase conjugation. To clarify the effect of piston errors due to imperfect phase locking, spatial intensity profiles of the beam recombination output were calculated in both the near and the far field on the basis of Rayleigh-Sommerfeld diffraction theory. The analyses indicate that piston errors are seriously detrimental to the quality of a beam recombination output and should be eliminated by a proper phase locking. By combined investigation of STM and synchrotron PES on Ge/Si(5 5 12)-2 × 1 at 530 °C, it has been found that, in addition to the upward-relaxed surface Si atoms, a subsurface Si atom is also readily replaced by an arriving Ge atom at the initial adsorption stage. Such enhanced interdiffusion is due to a unique character of one-dimensional chain structures of the reconstructed substrate, such as π-bonded and honeycomb chains not existing on other low-index Si surfaces such as Si(001)-c(4 × 2) and Si(111)-7 × 7, applying a tensile surface stress to the neighbouring subsurface atoms. Interdiffusion of Ge having lower surface energy induces adsorption of the displaced Si atoms on the surface to form sawtooth-like facets composed of (113)/(335) and (113)/(112) with arriving Ge atoms until the surface is filled with those facets. Such displacive adsorption is the origin of high Si concentration of formed facets.  相似文献

Phase transformations in squaric acid (H2C4O4) have been investigated by thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry with different heating rates β. The mass loss in TG apparently begins at onset temperatures Tdi=245±5 °C (β=5 °C min?1), 262±5 °C (β=10 °C min?1), and 275±5 °C (β=20 °C min?1). A polymorphic phase transition was recognized as a weak endothermic peak in DSC around 101 °C (Tc+). Further heating with β=10 °C min?1 in DSC revealed deviation of the baseline around 310 °C (Ti), and a large unusual exothermic peak around 355 °C (Tp), which are interpreted as an onset and a peak temperature of thermal decomposition, respectively. The activation energy of the thermal decomposition was obtained by employing relevant models. Thermal decomposition was recognized as a carbonization process, resulting in amorphous carbon.  相似文献

A fast automatic calibration system for a sound level meter in an anechoic environment has been developed. The precise and fast generation of the constant frequency-independent acoustic pressure field and reduction of digital voltmeter readout to sound pressure level were achieved by a newly designed software algorithm, assuming the system linearity. The performance test justified the assumed linearity, and showed that the searching speed was sufficiently fast within the small error limit.  相似文献

Fluorine substituted Li1.27Cr0.2Mn0.53O2 electrode, prepared by sol–gel method, was investigated in the present work. Thermal analysis was done on this cathode material and found to be thermally stable with a loss of weight near 300 °C. Influence of fluorine substitution on the structural and electrochemical properties of the Li1.27Cr0.2Mn0.53O2 electrode was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope. XRD pattern of the fluorine-doped Li1.27Cr0.2Mn0.53O2 cathode material quenched at 900 °C indicates a phase pure material. The charge–discharge profile of the prepared cathode material showed that the fluorine substitution for oxygen in the cathode material resulted in improved capacity retention.
