An expression for the product of a single-cycle class [(1)N - P(p)]N and an arbitrary class [(1)l1(2)l …? (N)lN]N of the symmetric group has recently been conjectured. This expression involves a sum over a relatively small number of reduced class sums, depending on p indices. A further conjecture is formulated and demonstrated, according to which reduced class coefficients (RCCS ) involving cycles whose length is expressed by means of a single index can be related to corresponding coefficients in the product of [(1)N - P+1(p - 1)]N with an arbitrary class sum. Consequently, the problem of evaluating the general class sum product reduces to that of obtaining a relatively small set of fundamental RCCS containing no single-index cycles. The conjectures mentioned can be used to evaluate the product [(1)N - p(p)]N · [(1)N - q(q)]N in terms of fundamental RCCS that can all be obtained from the product [(r)]r · [(r)]r, where r = min(p, q). The optical and ESR spectra of electrochemically reduced phosphotungstate and polyphosphotungstate anions in phosphoric acid were examined as quantitative functions of W5+ concentration. The optical spectra obey Beer-Lambert laws and are similar to the spectra of reduced silicotungstate anions, indicating the secondary nature of the central cluster in the keggin structure with regard to interactions with the reduction electron. ESR spectra indicate an equivalent correspondence for the W5+ concentration and unpaired spins for the reduced polyphosphotungstate anion but for the reduced phosphotungstate anion monomer the unpaired spin concentration estimated by ESR was much lower than the W5+ concentration. Reacting reduced phosphotungstate anions with oxygen showed a I-electron reduction of the oxygen molecule with concomitant oxidation of W5+ to W6+ and possibly production of high-molecular-weight, polyanion clusters. 相似文献

AbstractVanadium complexes are attractive candidates for anticancer chemotherapy, although often suffering from rich aqueous chemistry and hydrolytic instability. We have introduced an LVO family of vanadium oxo complexes, L being a diaminotris(phenolato) chlelating ligand, demonstrating high hydrolytic stability in water along with promising in vitro and in vivo efficacy. Herein we analyzed mechanistic aspects of the reactivity of such complexes in cellular environment. A representative complex exhibited high activity toward all lines in the NIH NCI-60 panel, with an average GI50 value of 0.7 ± 0.5 μM, and with a unique reactivity pattern implying a distinct mechanism. Free ligands demonstrated cytotoxicity similar to that of their vanadium complexes, were identified in cells treated with the complex, and induced apoptosis as did the parent complex, all implying their participation as active species. Cell cycle studies pointed to possible arrest mostly at the S phase, with some variations for the complex and ligand on the two lines analyzed. Nevertheless, the vanadium ion apparently accelerated cellular entry, as the activity was evident following markedly shorter periods of incubation with the extracellular complex when compared with the free ligand. The results displayed herein overall highlight the role of the vanadium complex as a pro-drug. 相似文献

The preparation and structural characterization of scandium and f-element complexes derived from the disiloxanediolate dianion, [(Ph2SiO)2O]2-, are reported. Reactions of in situ prepared Ln[N(SiMe3)2]3 (Ln = Eu, Sm, Gd) with (Ph2SiOH)2O in different stoichiometries afforded the lanthanide disiloxanediolates [Eu[[(Ph2SiO)2O]Li(Et2O)]3] (1), [[[(Ph2SiO)2O]Li(dme)]2SmCl(dme)] (2), and [[[((Ph2SiO)2O]Li(thf)2]2GdN(SiMe3)2] (3). In situ formed (Ph2SiOLi)2O reacted with anhydrous NdBr3 (molar ratio 3:1) to give polymeric [[Nd[(Ph2SiO)2O]3[mu-Li(thf)]2[mu2LiBrLi(thf)(Et2O)]]n] (4). Treatment of 3 with Ph2Si(OH)2 in the presence of acetonitrile yielded the dilithium trisiloxanediolate derivative [[Ph2Si(OSiPh2O)2][Li(MeCN)]2]2 (5), which according to an X-ray analysis displays an Li4O4 heterocubane structure. The trinuclear scandium complex [[[(Ph2SiO)2O]Sc(acac)2]2Sc(acac)] (6) was obtained by reaction of [(C5Me5)Sc(acac)2] (C5Me5 = eta5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) with (Ph2SiOH)2O in a 3:2 molar ratio. Selective formation of the colorless uranium(VI) derivative [U[Ph2Si(OSiPh20)2]2[(Ph2SiO)2O]] (7) was observed when uranocene, U(eta8-C8H8)2, was allowed to react with (Ph2SiOH)2O. An X-ray diffraction study of the solvated derivative [U[Ph2Si(OSiPh2O)2]2[(Ph2SiO)2O]].Et2O.TMEDA (TMEDA= N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-ethylenediamine) (7a) revealed the presence of both the original [(Ph2SiO)2O]2- dianion as well as the ring-enlarged [Ph2Si(OSiPh2O)2]2- ligand in the same molecule. 相似文献

The structural and photophysical properties of a new series of cationic and neutral Au(I) dinuclear compounds (1 and 2, respectively) bridged by bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) and substituted benzimidazolethiolate (X-BIT) ligands, where X = H (a), Me (b), OMe (c), and Cl (d), have been studied. Monocationic complexes, [A(u2)(micro-X-BIT)(micro-dppm)](CF(3)CO(2)), were prepared by the reaction of [A(u2)(micro-dppm)](CF(3)CO(2))(2) with 1 equiv of X-BIT in excellent yields. The cations 1a-1d possess similar molecular structures, each with a linear coordination geometry around the Au(I) nuclei, as well as relatively short intramolecular Au(I)...Au(I) separations ranging between 2.88907(6) A for 1d and 2.90607(16) A for 1a indicative of strong aurophilic interactions. The cations are violet luminescent in CH(2)Cl(2) solution with a lambda(em)(max) of ca. 365 nm, assigned as ligand-based or metal-centered (MC) transitions. Three of the cationic complexes, 1a, 1b, and 1d, exhibit unusual luminescence tribochromism in the solid-state, in which the photoemission is shifted significantly to higher energy upon gentle grinding of microcrystalline samples with DeltaE = 1130 cm(-1) for 1a, 670 cm(-1) (1b), and 870 cm(-1) (1d). The neutral dinuclear complexes, [A(u2)(micro-X-BIT)(micro-dppm)] (2a-2d) were formed in good yields by the treatment of a CH(2)Cl(2) solution of cationic compounds (1) with NEt(3). 2a-2d aggregate to form dimers having substantial intra- and intermolecular aurophilic interactions with unsupported Au(I)...Au(I) intermolecular distances in the range of 2.8793(4)-2.9822(8) A, compared with intramolecular bridge-supported separations of 2.8597(3)-2.9162(3) A. 2a-2d exhibit brilliant luminescence in the solid-state and in DMSO solution with red-shifted lambda(em)(max) energies in the range of 485-545 nm that are dependent on X-BIT and assigned as ligand-to-metal-metal charge transfer (LMMCT) states based in part on the extended Au...Au...Au...Au interactions. 相似文献

Oxymethylene dimethyl ethers (OMEn; CH3(‐OCH2‐)nO‐CH3, n=3–5) are a novel class of sustainable synthetic fuels, which are of increasing interest due to their soot‐free combustion. Herein a novel anhydrous OMEn synthesis route is presented. Catalyzed by trimethyloxonium salts, dimethoxymethane takes up monomeric gaseous formaldehyde instantaneously and forms high purity OMEn at temperatures of 25–30 °C. This new anhydrous approach using molecular formaldehyde and catalytic amounts of highly active trimethyloxonium salts represents a promising new step towards a sustainable formation of OMEn emanating from CO2 and H2. 相似文献

Grignard reagents (aliphatic, aromatic, heteroaromatic, vinyl, or allylic) react with 1 equiv of 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane (pinacolborane, PinBH) at ambient temperature in tetrahydrofuran (THF) to afford the corresponding pinacolboronates. The initially formed dialkoxy alkylborohydride intermediate quickly eliminates hydridomagnesium bromide (HMgBr) and affords the product boronic ester in very good yield. Hydridomagnesium bromide (HMgBr) in turn disproportionates to a 1:1 mixture of magnesium hydride (MgH(2)) and magnesium bromide (MgBr(2)) on addition of pentane to the reaction mixture. DFT calculations (Gaussian09) at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory show that disproportionation of HMgBr to MgH(2) and MgBr(2) is viable in the coordinating ethereal solvents. This reaction also can be carried out under Barbier conditions, where the neat PinBH is added to the flask prior to the in situ formation of Grignard reagent from the corresponding organic halide and magnesium metal. Pinacolboronic ester synthesis under Barbier conditions does not give Wurtz coupling side products from reactive halides, such as benzylic and allylic halides. The reaction between PinBH and various Grignard reagents is an efficient, mild, and general method for the synthesis of pinacolboronates. 相似文献

Macromolecular stars containing reversible boronic ester linkages were prepared by an arm-first approach by reacting well-defined boronic acid-containing block copolymers with multifunctional 1,2/1,3-diols. Homopolymers of 3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid (APBA) formed macroscopic dynamic-covalent networks when cross-linked with multifunctional diols. On the other hand, adding the diol cross-linkers to block copolymers of poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide (PDMA))-b-poly(APBA) led to nanosized multiarm stars with boronic ester cores and PDMA coronas. The assembly of the stars under a variety of conditions was considered. The dynamic-covalent nature of the boronic ester cross-links allowed the stars to reconfigure their covalent structure in the presence of monofunctional diols that competed for bonding with the boronic acid component. Therefore, the stars could be induced to dissociate via competitive exchange reactions. The star formation-dissociation process was shown to be repeatable over multiple cycles. 相似文献
