We carry out an exact analysis of the average frequency ν+ αxi in the direction x i of positiveslope crossing of a given level α such that, h(x, t) − = α, of growing surfaces in spatial dimension d. Here, h(x, t) is the surface height at time t, and is its mean value. We analyze the problem when the surface growth dynamics is governed by the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation without surface tension, in the time regime prior to appearance of cusp singularities (sharp valleys), as well as in the random deposition (RD) model. The total number N + of such level-crossings with positive slope in all the directions is then shown to scale with time as t d/2 for both the KPZ equation and the RD model. The biologically active pricipals in nature are frequently present as only a few parts per million of complex mixtures of non-volatile components and often have limited stability. Their isolation often requires the application of all available techniques, such as adsorption chromatography, ion exchange procedures, size exclusion techniques, and solvent partition methods consistent with their physical properties and stability. The process of countercurret chromatography is essentially liquid-liquid chromatography in which the stationary liquid bed is retained in the column by a force field rather than by a solid supporting matrix. Adsorption effects are thereby eliminated. The technique is particularly advantageous in the preparative separation of milligram to gram quantities of polar and labile organic compounds and bio-particulate materials such as cells and cell fragments. Virtually any twophase solvent system, either aqueous or non-aqueous may be employed. Countercurrent chromatography (CCC) provides a convenlent alternative to adsorption chromatography for fractionation of natural products or other complex mixtures. In some cases, this high resolution method offers advantages with regard to the avoidance of contamination from solid adsorbents, versatility, and relatively inexpensive operation. Sterically congested adamantylideneadamantanes (1b-g) (X = Br, Cl, F, OH, OEt, OCOCH(3)), homoallylically substituted with equatorial groups (X), react with bromine in 1,2-dichloroethane to give a stable bromonium ion intermediate or a substitution product depending on the nature of the substituent and on the bromine concentration. The nature of the substituent markedly affects the formation constant of the 1:1 pi-complexes, as well as of the formation constant and reactivity of bromonium ion intermediates. The different reactivity of the ionic intermediates, which depends on the nature of substituents, is attributed to bromonium or bromocarbenium character of the intermediate, with the support of theoretical investigations. Ab initio calculations on 1:1 adamatylideneadamantane-Br(2) complexes (2a-f) show that the substituent affects the stability of these species through electrostatic and dispersion effects. Solvent effects may also contribute to modulate the relative stability of these species.  相似文献

Internal ionization source MALDI-FTMS shows clear variation of number average molecular weight (M(n)) for an equimolar mixture of four PEG polymers (PEG 2000, PEG 4000, PEG 6000, PEG 8000) when the 2,5-dihydroxy benzoic acid (DHB) matrix to PEG ratio is varied or the laser power is changed. As the matrix to analyte ratio is increased, the analyte signal of higher molecular mass ions increases and the signal of lower mass ions decreases. Laser power dependence studies show a similar trend. Possible explanations for these observations are discussed.  相似文献

[formula: see text] The segment-coupling Prins cyclization avoids two of the problems common to other Prins cyclization protocols: side-chain exchange and partial racemization by reversible 2-oxonia Cope rearrangement. Model studies demonstrate the stereochemical fidelity of Prins cyclizations using alpha-acetoxy ethers compared with direct aldehyde-alcohol Prins reactions. Furthermore, we propose a mechanism for the racemization observed in some intermolecular Prins cyclizations. Two straightforward syntheses of optically pure (-)-centrolobine highlight the utility of Prins cyclizations.  相似文献

The adduct produced in the reaction between tert-butyl isocyanide and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates was trapped by alkyl 2-arylamino-2-oxo-acetates. When the aryl group is 2-methyl-6-nitrophenyl or 2,6-di-isopropylphenyl, the product exists as two stable rotamers at room temperature as a result of restricted rotation around the Ar-N single bond. When the aryl group is 1-naphthyl or 8-quinolinyl, dynamic NMR effects are observed in the 1H NMR spectra. The calculated free-energy of activation for interconversion of the rotational isomers in 1-naphthyl and 8-quinolinyl derivatives amounts to about 99+/-2 and 68.5+/-2 kJ mol(-1), respectively.  相似文献

Biomimetic complexes such as porphyrins, phthalocyanines, and hemins show promising catalytic activities in redox processes. Donor-acceptor hybrids of these biomimetic macrocyclic complexes with graphene as one of the most critical allotropes of carbon are currently an outstanding scientific frontier. Notably, the composites that consist of these efficient and bio-inspiring complexes anchored on the surface of the graphene and their widespread applications have gained ever-increasing interest in the last decade, which expresses their efficiency in practice. Accordingly, this review covers the current status of biomimetic complexes-graphene composites with particular emphasis on significant signs of their synthesis and characterization also highlighted applications of these composites in academia and industrial redox processes such as oxidation of organic compounds, epoxidation, oxygen reduction reactions, CO2 reduction, and hydrogen evolution reactions.  相似文献
