Tropolone,a ligand for a lipophilic chelate with technetium-99m

A lipophilic chelate formed from tropolone and^99mTc is described. Radiochemical yields of the chelate were 90–95%. The radiochemical purity of neutral chelate as determined by HPLC was greater than 95%. The octanol/water partition coefficient of the chelate was 3.2 Whole-body distribution studies of the labeled chelate were carried out in rats.     

An Improved and Simple Synthesis of Methyl or Ethyl 7-Oxoheptanoate and 7-Acetoxyheptanal

Reaction of cycloheptanone with potassium persulfate, in ethanol or methanol, gave ethyl or methyl 7-hydroxyheptanoate which, by oxidation with PCC, were converted into ethyl or methyl 7-oxoheptanoate in good yields. Protection of aldehyde group of methyl 7-oxoheptanoate, followed by one-step conversion of carboxylic ester to the acetate gave, after regeneration of aldehyde group, 7-acetoxyheptanal.     

Convergence of approximating fixed point sets

Summary Five types of convergence of approximating fixed point sets are investigated. Applications to nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces are given.

Two connected inverse spectral transforms

We establish a transformation which connects the potentials of the one-dimensional Dirac and Klein-Gordon operators. This transformation links the solutions of the nonlinear evolution equations solvable by means of the two inverse spectral transforms which use the Dirac and Klein-Gordon direct and inverse spectral problems.
