Vilsmeier reagent for a high yield conversion of aldoximes to nitriles

Chloromethylenedimethylammonium chloride was used to convert aldoximes $\text{1b-g}$ to nitriles $\text{2b-g}$.

Epoxidation with the H2O2/vilsmeier reagent system

Alkenes $\text{1}$ a–d interact at ?80°C in 15 min. with the Vilsmeier reagent $\text{I}$ (Me₂N=CHCl)⁺PO₂Cl₂^? in presence of 30% H₂O₂ to yield the corresponding epoxides $\text{3}$ a–d. The reaction could involve the formation of the highly reactive hydroperoxymethylenedimethylammonium salt (Me₂N=CHOOH)⁺PO₂Cl^?₂$\text{II}$.     

Two connected inverse spectral transforms

We establish a transformation which connects the potentials of the one-dimensional Dirac and Klein-Gordon operators. This transformation links the solutions of the nonlinear evolution equations solvable by means of the two inverse spectral transforms which use the Dirac and Klein-Gordon direct and inverse spectral problems.     

Synthesis of silyl-substituted vinylallenes

The coupling between the 5-chloro-3-en-1-ynes $\text{1a}$ - $\text{1e}$ and trimetylchlorosilane gives rise to the vinylallenes $\text{2a}$ - $\text{2e}$ substituted by a trimethylsilyl group on the allenic moiety.
