In this work, we experimentally investigated the surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) activity of faceted gold nanoparticles, which have been theoretically predicted to yield giant enhancements. Glycine was used to determine the SERS activity as a function of pH and ionic strength and to estimate the corresponding enhancement factor (EF). By optimizing the synthesis conditions of the flat prismatic nanoparticles, it was possible to control their size and shape. We demonstrate that the maximum SERS intensity increases with the edge length of the triangle, reaching a maximum EF of ∼1013 for 1.9 µm triangles (the largest tested). The corresponding glycine detection limit was as low as 10−12 M , close to the single‐molecule threshold. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Acidity of Ni-modified alumina and silica-alumina catalysts was determined using n-butylamine titration and pyridine adsorption methods. Strong influence of Ni2+ ions on the Brönsted acidity of silicaalumina was observed. Improved Brönsted acidity of such system was confirmed by the results of the test reaction.  相似文献

In this paper, we develope the new standardization methods to eliminate the influence in capillary electrophoresis (CE). The markers were used to determine the basis position and then correct the data of sample by the migration time of standard sample, and make the migration time of samples consistent with the standard sample by the criterion of the marker. The problem of time transition was corrected in this way. Then according to the peak height or peak area of the marker in the sample (peak height was used here) compared with the standard sample, the sample data was zoomed appropriately. The absorbance error was made to be correct. The wavelet de-noise method was also used to make the data smooth and get a good baseline.  相似文献

The application of multilayer perceptron artificial neural networks (MLP ANN) based on genetic input selection for quantification of the unresolved peaks in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) is reported. An optimization strategy for genetic input selection was also proposed. When the corresponding CE peaks cannot be resolved completely only by separation techniques, MLP ANN based on genetic input selection can be a suitable tool to resolve the problem. Both the spectra and the electrophoretograms of the unseparated analytes were used as the multivariate input data. The two kinds of the data were suitable for quantification of overlapped CE peaks by MLP ANN based on genetic input selection. The study also shows that the applying of genetic input selection in MLP ANN can improve the precision of quantification in both completely and partially overlapped CE peaks to some extent.  相似文献

A new capillary electrophoresis procedure based on micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography for the separation of humic acids (HAs) isolated from Antarctica soil was developed. The HAs were separated and characterized using a background electrolyte containing 0.09 M borate+0.09 M Tris+0.001 M EDTA (BTE) of pH 8.3, modified with alpha-, beta-, or gamma-cyclodextrins (CDs) and sodium dodecyl sulfate. It was found that from alkaline solution of HAs in the presence of CDs, the HAs are not completely precipitated with a strong acid and a certain part (some fractions) remains soluble. Mass spectrometry shows that HAs contain 15-25 simple low-Mr compounds and several families of compounds with similar structure (m/z approximately 800-1200). Comparison of HA analysis from Antarctica soil with those of soil HAs from the American continent show a high similarity between the samples and confirm several identical compounds and some with very similar structural units.  相似文献

Gold phosphides show unique optical or semiconductor properties and there are extensive high technology applications, e.g. in laser diodes, etc. In spite of the various AuP structures known, the search for new materials is wide. Laser ablation synthesis is a promising screening and synthetic method. Generation of gold phosphides via laser ablation of red phosphorus and nanogold mixtures was studied using laser desorption ionisation time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (LDI TOFMS). Gold clusters Aum+ (m = 1 to ~35) were observed with a difference of one gold atom and their intensities were in decreasing order with respect to m. For Pn+ (n = 2 to ~111) clusters, the intensities of odd‐numbered phosphorus clusters are much higher than those for even‐numbered phosphorus clusters. During ablation of P‐nanogold mixtures, clusters Aum+ (m = 1‐12), Pn+ (n = 2‐7, 9, 11, 13–33, 35–95 (odd numbers)), AuPn+ (n = 1, 2–88 (even numbers)), Au2Pn+ (n = 1‐7, 14–16, 21–51 (odd numbers)), Au3Pn+ (n = 1‐6, 8, 9, 14), Au4Pn+ (n = 1‐9, 14–16), Au5Pn+ (n = 1‐6, 14, 16), Au6Pn+ (n = 1‐6), Au7Pn+ (n = 1‐7), Au8Pn+ (n = 1‐6, 8), Au9Pn+ (n = 1‐10), Au10Pn+ (n = 1‐8, 15), Au11Pn+ (n = 1‐6), and Au12Pn+ (n = 1, 2, 4) were detected in positive ion mode. In negative ion mode, Aum (m = 1–5), Pn (n = 2, 3, 5–11, 13–19, 21–35, 39, 41, 47, 49, 55 (odd numbers)), AuPn (n = 4–6, 8–26, 30–36 (even numbers), 48), Au2Pn (n = 2–5, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17), Au3Pn (n = 6–11, 32), Au4Pn (n = 1, 2, 4, 6, 10), Au6P5, and Au7P8 clusters were observed. In both modes, phosphorus‐rich AumPn clusters prevailed. The first experimental evidence for formation of AuP60 and gold‐covered phosphorus Au12Pn (n = 1, 2, 4) clusters is given.
