Four new carexanes and a new seco-derivative metabolite have been isolated and characterized from the herbaceous plant Carex distachya Desf. All of the structures have been elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. These compounds derive from the cyclization of prenylate stylbenoid precursors. The seco-carexane is formed by a further oxidative cleavage of the C-7-C-8 bond. The absolute configurations have been determined by Mosher's method using appropriate chemical correlations. All of the carexanes A-H have been tested for their phytotoxicity against Lactuca sativa. The bioassays showed an inhibitory effect on seed germination for all compounds described in this report. 相似文献

Nγ-Carboxyalkyl modified peptide nucleic acids (PNAs), containing the four canonical nucleobases, were prepared via solid-phase oligomerization. The inserted peptoid monomers 1 and 2 were constructed through simple synthetic procedures, utilizing appropriate glycidol and iodoalkyl electrophiles. Thermal denaturation studies, performed with complementary antiparallel DNA strands, demonstrated that the length of the Nγ-side chain strongly influences the modified PNAs hybridization properties. Moreover, multiple negative charges on the oligoamide backbone, when present on γ-nitrogen C6 side chains proved to be beneficial for the oligomers’ water solubility and DNA hybridization specificity. 相似文献

We use the Landau theory of phase transitions to obtain the global phase diagram concerning the uniaxial nematic, biaxial nematic, uniaxial smectic-A and biaxial smectic-A phases. The transition between the biaxial nematic and biaxial smectic is continuous as well as the transition between the nematic phases and the transition between the smectic phases. The transition from uniaxial nematic and uniaxial smectic is continuous with a tricritical point. The tricritical point may be absent and the entire transition becomes continuous. A mathematical model is proposed for the process of vacuum superplasticforming. The model exploits the fact that in most industrialapplications the sheet aspect ratio (thickness/sheet width)is small. After an initial consideration of some of the moregeneral properties and the literature of superplastic materials,the elastic/plastic deformation of an internally-inflated thin-walledcylinder is examined. Plates of arbitrary geometry are thenconsidered. A quasisteady model in which the sheet moves througha sequence of steady states is developed. Some simplified closed-formsolutions are examined, but for general cases a system of nonlinearpartial differential equations must be solved numerically. Anefficient and accurate semi-explicit numerical scheme is proposedand a simplified stability analysis is presented; the methodis then used to compute properties of superplastic vacuum mouldedsheets in a number of practically motivated cases. 相似文献
