In the first part of this two-part paper (Lebée and Sab in On the generalization of Reissner plate theory to laminated plates, Part I: theory, doi: 10.1007/s10659-016-9581-6, 2015), the original thick plate theory derived by Reissner (J. Math. Phys. 23:184–191, 1944) was rigorously extended to the case of laminated plates. This led to a new plate theory called Generalized-Reissner theory which involves the bending moment, its first and second gradients as static variables. In this second paper, the Bending-Gradient theory (Lebée and Sab in Int. J. Solids Struct. 48(20):2878–2888, 2011 and 2889–2901, 2011) is obtained from the Generalized-Reissner theory and several projections as a Reissner–Mindlin theory are introduced. A comparison with an exact solution for the cylindrical bending of laminated plates is presented. It is observed that the Generalized-Reissner theory converges faster than the Kirchhoff theory for thin plates in terms of deflection. The Bending-Gradient theory does not converge faster but improves considerably the error estimate.  相似文献

Recently, there has been increasing interest and progress in lowering the worst-case time complexity for well-known NP-hard problems, particularly for the Cover problem. In this paper, new properties for the problem are indicated, and several simple and new techniques are introduced, which lead to an improved algorithm of time O(kn + 1.2852k) for the problem. Our algorithm also induces improvement on previous algorithms for the problem on graphs of small degree.  相似文献

The development of new materials for bone substitution has been of great interest for the scientific community in the last years. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) and hydroxyapatite (HA) composites have been used in biomedical applications without any inflammatory response. However, the differences in nature of both materials have motivated the use of coupling agents to improve their interfacial interactions. In this work, the effects of adding three different commercial coupling agents (NZ12, Lica01, Lica12) to high-density polyethylene (HDPE)/hydroxyapatite (HA) composites were studied. Composites containing 20 parts per hundred (phr) of HA previously treated with the already mentioned coupling agents were characterized by mechanical tests and their morphologies were analyzed afterwards. Composites with 0.3 and 0.5 wt% of NZ12 unfolded an increase in their Young's modulus and tensile strength, as a consequence of an improved dispersion of the filler into the polymeric matrix. Analysis of the samples by XPS showed that the zirconate coupling agent interacted more with the HA, as reflected in the lower binding energies of the corresponding oxygen atoms, which agrees with their better performance from the mechanical point of view.  相似文献

Coating of silica-supported sulfonic acid catalysts with hydrophobic ionic liquid leads to a significant improvement of catalyst selectivity. Many organic reactions, including Prins cyclization, cycloaddition of epoxide to aldehyde, and dehydrative etherification of secondary benzyl alcohols, proceed well in formalin or pure water. In particular, tandem dehydration/Prins cyclization reactions of tertiary and secondary alcohols with formaldehyde were developed for the first time.  相似文献

Two efficient and rapid accesses to spiro-oxindole entities bearing an imide function were presented, and their performance was compared. The key components are N-substituted α-bromoacetamides to reach these derivatives in tandem process. The resulting spiro-imides from these methodologies were regioselectively reduced into corresponding N-acyliminium precursors, which were subsequently submitted to an intramolecular cyclization to provide pentacyclic spiro-oxindole architecture analogues to pteropodine and spirotryprostatin-B alkaloids with high diastereoselective control.  相似文献

In this paper, we report the modal dispersion of silica graded-index optical fibers as a function of the input mode parameters and lunching conditions in local area network (LAN) context. In that, we examine the mode-depending parameters, namely, modal delay, modal attenuation and mode-coupling effects as a function of wavelength. We show that the number of excited mode groups depends strongly on the spot beam radius when the fiber is excited with an axial Gaussian beam where we find an optimal axial diameter exciting only two mode groups. We present a comparison of the number of excited mode groups, the optimal spot radius beam, the signal penalty and the 3-dB baseband bandwidth enhancement for the optimal axial launching compared with full mode excitation, offset launching and mode-field matched axial launching.  相似文献

A new Lagrangian conditional moment closure (CMC) model is developed for multiple Lagrangian groups of sequentially evaporating fuel in turbulent spray combustion. Flame group interaction is taken into account as premixed combustion by the eddy breakup (EBU) model in terms of the probability of finding flame groups in the burned and the unburned state. Evaporation source terms are included in the two phase conditional transport equations, although they turn out to have negligible influence on the mean temperature field during combustion. Similar ignition delays and lift-off lengths are predicted by the incompletely stirred reactor (ISR) and the Eulerian CMC models due to relatively uniform conditional flame structure in the domain. The improved Lagrangian CMC model shows no abrupt reaction or oscillatory behaviour with an appropriate model constant K and gives results in better agreement with measurements lying between the predictions by ISR and Lagrangian CMC without flame group interaction.  相似文献
