Recently, secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) has been used in the analysis of not only impurities but also matrix elements, thus requiring a wide dynamic range for SIMS analysis. However, SIMS detectors, which are mostly used in pulse counting systems, have difficulties with detector saturation. In this paper, we investigate whether a dead‐time model that was developed for X‐ray measurement is applicable for SIMS analysis. We then compare a new correction method with conventional correction methods for detector saturation in SIMS analysis. We report that the new method can better correct the intensity in regions of higher intensity than that achieved by conventional methods. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Collision-induced near-IR emission of O(2) a(1)Δ(g) was investigated in O(2)/M (M = Ar, Kr, Xe, N(2), or CO(2)) gas mixtures, where the total pressure ranged from 10 to 100 atm, and gaseous O(2) dimol was excited with a pulsed dye laser at 630 nm through the simultaneous two-electron transition to prepare O(2) in the a(1)Δ(g) state. The a(1)Δ(g) → X(3)Σ(g)(-) emission intensity around 1270 nm increased with the number density of foreign gas (M) under constant O(2) number density. Emission enhancement efficiencies were in the order Xe > CO(2) > O(2) > Kr > N(2) > Ar; they are controlled by collisional enhancement during the near-IR emission at 1270 nm but not during photoabsorption at 630 nm. Efficiencies were converted into bimolecular rate constants to enhance the radiative a → X transition for the added gases. The rate constants were estimated as quadratically dependent on the molar refraction (or polarizability) of collision gas. The self-quenching rate constant was determined from the Stern-Volmer plot of the emission lifetimes measured in pure O(2).  相似文献

The crystal structure of a truncated Aer2, a signal transducer protein from Pseudomonas aeruginosa, consisting of the heme-containing PAS and di-HAMP domains revealed that a distal tryptophan residue (Trp283) plays an important role in stabilizing the heme-bound O(2) and intra-molecular signal transduction upon O(2) binding.  相似文献

Ferromagnetic [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(CuCl)(6)(SbW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (1) and antiferromagnetic [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(MnCl)(6)(AsW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (4) have been synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. Two complexes are structural analogues of [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(CuCl)(6)(AsW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (2) and [n-BuNH(3)](12)[(MnCl)(6)(SbW(9)O(33))(2)]·6H(2)O (3) with their ferromagnetic interactions, first reported by us in 2006. (1) When variable temperature (T) direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility (χ(M)) data are analyzed with the isotropic exchange Hamiltonian for the magnetic exchange interactions, χ(M)T vs T curves fitted by a full matrix diagonalization (for 1) and by the Kambe vector coupling method/Van Vleck's approximation (for 4) yield J = +29.5 and -0.09 cm(-1) and g = 2.3 and 1.9, respectively. These J values were significantly distinguished from +61.0 and +0.14 cm(-1) for 2 and 3, respectively. The magnetization under the pulsed field (up to 10(3) T/s) at 0.5 K exhibits hysteresis loops in the adiabatic process, and the differential magnetization (dM/dB) plots against the pulsed field display peaks characteristic of resonant quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM) at Zeeman crossed fields, indicating single-molecule magnets for 1-3. High-frequency ESR (HFESR) spectroscopy on polycrystalline samples provides g(∥) = 2.30, g(⊥) = 2.19, and D = -0.147 cm(-1) for 1 (S = 3 ground state), g(∥) = 2.29, g(⊥) = 2.20, and D = -0.145 cm(-1) for 2 (S = 3), and g(∥) = 2.03 and D = -0.007 cm(-1) for 3 (S = 15). An attempt to rationalize the magnetostructural correlation among 1-4, the structurally and magnetically modified D(3d)-symmetric M (=Cu(II) and Mn(II))(6) hexagons sandwiched by two diamagnetic α-B-[XW(9)O(33)](9-) (X = Sb(III) and As(III)) ligands through M-(μ(3)-O)-W linkages, is made. The strongest ferromagnetic coupling for the Cu(6) hexagon of 2, the structure of which approximately provides the Cu(6)(μ(3)-O)(12) cylindrical geometry, is demonstrated by the polarization mechanism based on the point-dipole approximation, which provides a decrease of the ferromagnetic interaction due to the out-of-cylinder deviation of the Cu atoms for 1. The different nature of the magnetic exchange interaction in 3 and 4 is understood by the combined effect of the out-of plane deviation (the largest for 4) of the Mn atoms from the Mn(μ(3)-O)(2)Mn least-squares plane and the antiferromagnetic contribution arising from the large Mn-O-Mn bond angle. The primary contribution to D is discussed in terms of the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction between the electrons located on the magnetic sites in the M(6) hexagon.  相似文献

A single-chain magnet (SCM) of [Mn(TBPP)(TCNE)]·4m-PhCl(2) (1), where TBPP(2-) = meso-tetra(4-biphenyl)porphyrinate; TCNE(?-) = tetracyanoethenide radical anion; m-PhCl(2) = meta-dichlorobenzene, was prepared via suppression of interchain interactions. 1 has a one-dimensional alternating Mn(III)(porphrin)-TCNE(?-)chain structure similar to those of a family of complexes reported by Miller and co-workers. From a comparison of the static magnetic properties of 1 with other Mn(III)(porphyrin)-TCNE(?-) chains, a magneto-structural correlation between the intrachain magnetic exchange and both the dihedral angle between the mean plane on [Mn(TBPP)(TCNE)] and Mn-N≡C was observed. The ac magnetic susceptibility data of 1 could be fit with the Arrhenius law, indicating that slow magnetic relaxation and ruling out three-dimensional long-range ordering and spin-glass-like behavior. The Cole-Cole plot for 1 was semicircular, verifying that it is an SCM. Therefore, 1 is an ideal single-chain magnet with significantly strong intrachain magnetic exchange interactions beyond the Ising limit.  相似文献

The phase transition mechanism in squaric acid is reviewed from the viewpoint of the pressure dependence of the O—H—O bond length (2R). The two-dimensional pressure effect on Tc is extracted from the hydrostatic pressure behaviour by taking account of the uniaxial stress applied perpendicular to the layer planes. The result shows that if 2R(H2SQ) is stretched to 2R(D2SQ) the phase transition temperature 7H c of H2SQ coincides with TD c of D2SQ. This result supports the suggestion that the phase transition mechanism is of the order-disorder type.  相似文献

There are many well-known document classification/clustering algorithms. In this paper, compression-based distances between documents are focused on, in particular, the normalized compression distance (NCD). The NCD is a popular and powerful metric between strings. A new distance $D_\alpha $ with one parameter $\alpha $ between strings is designed on the basis of the NCD, and several properties of $D_\alpha $ are studied. It is also proved that every pair of strings $(x,y)$ can be plotted on the contour graphs of NCD and $D_\alpha $ (and some other compression-based distances) in a 2-dimensional plane. The distance $D_\alpha (x,y)$ is defined to take a relatively small value if a string $x$ is a portion of a string $y.$ Literary works $x$ and $y$ are usually assumed to be written by the same author(s) if $x$ is a portion of $y.$ Therefore, it may be appropriate to consider the performance of $D_\alpha $ for literary work classification based on authorship, as a benchmark. An algorithm to determine an appropriate value of $\alpha $ is presented using the contour graphs, and this algorithm does not require the knowledge of the names of the authors of each work. According to experimental results of the area under receiver operating characteristics curves and clustering, $D_\alpha $ with such an appropriate value of $\alpha $ performs somewhat better in literary work classification based on authorship.  相似文献

A series of isostructural cyano-bridged Mn(III)(h.s.)-M(III)(l.s.) alternating chains, [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)M(III)(CN)(6)]?4H(2)O (5-TMAMsalen(2-)=N,N'-ethylenebis(5-trimethylammoniomethylsalicylideneiminate), Mn(III)(h.s.)=high-spin Mn(III), M(III)(l.s.)=low-spin Co(III), Mn-Co; Fe(III), Mn-Fe; Mn(III), Mn-Mn; Cr(III), Mn-Cr) was synthesized by assembling [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)](3+) and [M(III)(CN)(6)](3-). The chains present in the four compounds, which crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c, are composed of an [-Mn(III)-NC-M(III)-CN-] repeating motif, for which the -NC-M(III)-CN- motif is provided by the [M(III)(CN)(6)](3-) moiety adopting a trans bridging mode between [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)](3+) cations. The Mn(III) and M(III) ions occupy special crystallographic positions: a C(2) axis and an inversion center, respectively, forming a highly symmetrical chain with only one kind of cyano bridge. The Jahn-Teller axis of the Mn(III)(h.s.) ion is perpendicular to the N(2)O(2) plane formed by the 5-TMAMsalen tetradentate ligand. These Jahn-Teller axes are all perfectly aligned along the unique chain direction without a bending angle, although the chains are corrugated with an Mn-N(axis) -C angle of about 144°. In the crystal structures, the chains are well separated with the nearest inter-chain M???M distance being relatively large at 9?? due to steric hindrance of the bulky trimethylammoniomethyl groups of the 5-TMAMsalen ligand. The magnetic properties of these compounds have been thoroughly studied. Mn-Fe and Mn-Mn display intra-chain ferromagnetic interactions, whereas Mn-Cr is characterized by an antiferromagnetic exchange that induces a ferrimagnetic spin arrangement along the chain. Detailed analyses of both static and dynamic magnetic properties have demonstrated without ambiguity the single-chain magnet (SCM) behavior of these three systems, whereas Mn-Co is merely paramagnetic with S(Mn)=2 and D/k(B)=-5.3?K (D being a zero-field splitting parameter). At low temperatures, the Mn-M compounds with M=Fe, Mn, and Cr display remarkably large M versus H hysteresis loops for applied magnetic fields along the easy magnetic direction that corresponds to the chain direction. The temperature dependence of the associated relaxation time for this series of compounds systematically exhibits a crossover between two Arrhenius laws corresponding to infinite-chain and finite-chain regimes for the SCM behavior. These isostructural hetero-spin SCMs offer a unique series of alternating [-Mn-NC-M-CN-] chains, enabling physicists to test theoretical SCM models between the Ising and Heisenberg limits.  相似文献
