GAMMA 10 experiments have advanced in high density experiments after the last EPS Workshop where we reported high density plasma production by using an ion cyclotron range of frequency heating at a high harmonic frequency and neutral beam injection in the central cell. Recently a high density plasma was obtained with much improved reproducibility than before and without degradation of diamagnetic signal. The high density plasma was attained by adjusting the spacing of the conducting plates installed in the anchor transition regions. Dependencies of particle confinement time, ion energy confinement time and plasma confining potential on plasma density were obtained for the first time in the high density region. When a diffuser is illuminated by the coherent light with a negative power-law distribution, fractal speckles are produced in the far-field diffraction region. Fractal speckles have extremely long spatial correlation functions of the intensity distributions in comparison with ordinary speckles, which implies that they may extend measurement ranges in various metrological applications based on the spatial correlation of speckles. To have fractal speckles with satisfactory statistical properties, it is required to produce a power-law illumination profile with high quality. In this paper, we report on the computer-generated holograms for producing power-law intensities on the basis of the method of stationary phase, with the error-reduction algorithm combined with to suppress strong ringing of the intensity.  相似文献

A measurement technique for depth profiling in a time-domain low-coherence interferometer has been proposed. The spatial variation of the optical path caused by a diffraction grating in the Littrow configuration produces a white-light interferogram. A one-dimensional charge-coupled device (1D-CCD) detector is used to measure the undersampled white-light interferogram. The position of the reflective boundary is calculated from the rate of phase change with spatial frequency, which is based on the sub-Nyquist sampling of the white-light interferogram in the frequency domain.  相似文献

Cholesteryl esters are the main components of atherosclerotic plaques, and they have an absorption peak at the wavelength of 5.75 µm. To realize less-invasive ablation of the atherosclerotic plaques using a quasi-continuous wave (quasi-CW) quantum cascade laser (QCL), the thermal effects on normal vessels must be reduced. In this study, we attempted to reduce the thermal effects by controlling the pulse structure. The irradiation effects on rabbit atherosclerotic aortas using macro pulse irradiation (irradiation of pulses at intervals) and conventional quasi-CW irradiation were compared. The macro pulse width and the macro pulse interval were determined based on the thermal relaxation time of atherosclerotic and normal aortas in the oscillation wavelength of the QCL. The ablation depth increased and the coagulation width decreased using macro pulse irradiation. Moreover, difference in ablation depth between the atherosclerotic and normal rabbit aortas using macro pulse irradiation was confirmed. Therefore, the QCL in the 5.7-µm wavelength range with controlling the pulse structure was effective for less-invasive laser angioplasty.  相似文献

We measured the in-plane magnetoresistance of Pr0.9LaCe0.1CuO4 (PLCCO) epitaxial thin films under various magnetic fields H applied parallel to the tetragonal c-axis. The measurements were performed at the superconducting state as well as the normal state. As the magnetic field is between the low critical field Hc1 and upper critical field Hc2, a critical scaling behavior of electrical resistivity is found. We analyze the electrical transport properties and show the magnetic field H dependence of glass transition temperature Tg and the characteristic temperature T* for the PLCCO film, which may shed some light on vortex behavior in electron-doped superconductors.  相似文献

The anisotropy factor g, one of the optical properties of biological tissues, has a strong influence on the calculation of the scattering coefficient μ s in inverse Monte Carlo (iMC) simulations. It has been reported that g has the wavelength and absorption dependence; however, few attempts have been made to calculate μ s using g values by taking the wavelength and absorption dependence into account. In this study, the angular distributions of scattered light for biological tissue phantoms containing hemoglobin as a light absorber were measured by a goniometric optical setup at strongly (405 nm) and weakly (664 nm) absorbing wavelengths to obtain g. Subsequently, the optical properties were calculated with the measured values of g by integrating sphere measurements and an iMC simulation, and compared with the results obtained with a conventional g value of 0.9. The μ s values with measured g were overestimated at the strongly absorbing wavelength, but underestimated at the weakly absorbing wavelength if 0.9 was used in the iMC simulation.  相似文献

We developed a high radiation sensitive polymer gel by modifying the amounts of the gel components and the temperature for the gel preparation. We evaluated its relaxation time linearity against dose and compared the measured dose distribution with the calculated one. For the relaxation time-dose linearity, irradiations were carried out with a linear accelerator using 6 MV photons and doses ranging from 0-5.0 Gy. The relationship between dose and R(2) value (reciprocal of T(2) relaxation time) was measured and it had good linearity over a wide range (0.3-5 Gy). The measured dose distributions were in good agreement with calculated ones. Since the present gel has higher sensitivity and it is synthesized more easily at lower cost than conventional polymer gels, we expect to see improved three-dimensional (3D) dosimetry using it.  相似文献

Hyperfine interaction constants (HFICs) of dangling bonds for CN and SiN films were calculated by density-functional theory. The averaged 14N isotropic HFICs for C dangling bonds are almost equal to those for Si dangling bonds. The anisotropic 14N HFICs calculated for C dangling bonds are larger than those for Si dangling bonds by a factor 2. The calculated results were compared with experimental results obtained by electron spin resonance and electron nuclear double resonance. It was indicated that the carbon dangling bonds are located such that they avoid N atoms in CN films.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe an induced signal measurement on the human body for developing a high-performance transceiver of an intra-body communication system. It is important to isolate awearable transceiver from an electrical instrument for precise measurement. We have developed a probe system using an optical isolation method including a laser diode, photo-diode, and optical fiber. The probe system can be successfully applied to the precise measurement of a receiving signal power at a wearable transceiver. We verify that the experimental results agree with the simulation results based on our previous channel model of intra-body communication.  相似文献
