Cp2TiCl is the first example of a single electron transfer (SET) agent that both provides initiating radicals from three different types of functionalities (i.e. radical ring opening of epoxides and reduction of aldehydes and peroxides) and doubles as mediator for the living radical polymerization of styrene (St) by reversibly endcapping the growing polymer chains. An initiator (I) comparison was performed using 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDE), benzaldehyde (BA) and benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as models. The investigation of the effect of reaction variables was carried out over a wide range of experimental conditions ([Cp2TiCl2]/[I] = 0.5/1-4/1; [Zn]/[Cp2TiCl2] = 0.5/1-3/1, [St]/[I] = 50/1-400/1 and T = 60-130 °C) to reveal living polymerization features such as a linear dependence of molecular weight on conversion and narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) for each initiator class. However, progressively lower polydispersities and larger initiator efficiencies are obtained with increasing the [Cp2TiCl2]/[I] and [Zn]/[Cp2TiCl2] ratios and with decreasing temperature. Accordingly, optimum conditions correspond to [St]/[I]/[Cp2TiCl2]/[Zn] = [50-200]/[1]/[2-3]/[4-6] at 70-90 °C. By contrast to peroxides, aldehydes and the more reactive epoxides provide alcohol end groups useful in block or graft copolymers synthesis.  相似文献

A novel and efficient synthesis of both (±)-methyl epijasmonate and (±)-cis-3-(2-oxopropyl)-2-(pent-2Z-enyl)-cyclopentan-1-one is described. The key step to establish the cis-stereochemistry on the 5-membered ring is an ionic Diels–Alder reaction, which is high yielding and highly regioselective. Subsequent key steps include oxidative cleavage of the six-membered ring, Wittig coupling and for the synthesis of epijasmonate, the haloform reaction.  相似文献

We demonstrate that metallic rings formed spontaneously at room temperature via evaporation of aqueous drops containing silver nanoparticles (20-30 nm in diameter) exhibit high electrical conductivity (up to 15% of that for bulk silver). The mechanism underlying this self-assembly phenomena is the "ring stain effect", where self-pinning is combined with capillary flow to form a ring consisting of close-packed metallic nanoparticles along the perimeter of a drying droplet. Our macroscopic and microscopic (applying conductive atomic force microscopy) transport measurements show that the conductivity of the ring, which has a metallic brightness, is orders of magnitude larger than that of corresponding aggregates developed without the ring formation, where high conductivity is known to appear only after annealing at high temperature.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to investigate acoustic source localization algorithms suitable for use with distributed sensor networks. Traditional sensor networks employ a central controller; however centralized data processing in large-scale sensor networks is not always desirable because of the excessive communication and computational complexity it requires. Therefore, fully distributed localization algorithms are considered. The most important aspect of these algorithms is that they be scalable for use in large sensor networks. The scalability is achieved by forming sensor nodes into groups which collaborate to locate sources. Source locations are determined from time of arrival (TOA) information of the acoustic wave front. Two source location solution methods are used: least squares (LS) and Tikhonov regularized inversion (RI). Experimental results validate the accuracy of a distributed localization approach, and the effectiveness of the LS and RI methods are compared. Additionally, important parameters of the distributed localization algorithm are considered.  相似文献

Preclassification of raw infrared spectra has often been neglected in scientific literature. Separating spectra of low spectral quality, due to low signal-to-noise ratio, presence of artifacts, and low analyte presence, is crucial for accurate model development. Furthermore, it is very important for sparse data, where it becomes challenging to visually inspect spectra of different natures. Hence, a preclassification approach to separate infrared spectra for sparse data is needed. In this study, we propose a preclassification approach based on Multiplicative Signal Correction (MSC). The MSC approach was applied on human and the bovine knee cartilage broadband Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectra and on a sparse data subset comprising of only seven wavelengths. The goal of the preclassification was to separate spectra with analyte-rich signals (i.e., cartilage) from spectra with analyte-poor (and high-matrix) signals (i.e., water). The human datasets 1 and 2 contained 814 and 815 spectra, while the bovine dataset contained 396 spectra. A pure water spectrum was used as a reference spectrum in the MSC approach. A threshold for the root mean square error (RMSE) was used to separate cartilage from water spectra for broadband and the sparse spectral data. Additionally, standard noise-to-ratio and principle component analysis were applied on broadband spectra. The fully automated MSC preclassification approach, using water as reference spectrum, performed as well as the manual visual inspection. Moreover, it enabled not only separation of cartilage from water spectra in broadband spectral datasets, but also in sparse datasets where manual visual inspection cannot be applied.  相似文献

The inappropriate use of synthetic antibiotics has become a global public health problem. Therefore, the study of new alternatives for the treatment of infectious diseases is relevant and natural bioactive products are on the rise. This study conducted a scientific prospection of bioactive natural products with promising applications in the chemical control of microorganisms. A systematic review of the most recent articles was performed according to the following three steps: (i) eligibility assessment, (ii) screening, and (iii) inclusion of articles and information extraction. There has been an increase in the number of scientific publications on bioactive natural products for microbial control in the CAPES and SciELO databases (2001–2021). Seventeen relevant articles were included, most of which focused on extracts. Ascorbic acid, chlorogenic acid, chrysin, and quercetin were the most cited compounds. Natural products were shown to be effective in inhibiting more than 30 microorganisms. A discussion was presented on the research trends.  相似文献
