A highly effective and mild protocol for ring opening of epoxides with NH4SCN in the presence of catalytic amount of a multisite phase-transfer catalyst,α,α′,α″-N-hexakis(triethylammoniummethylene chloride)-melamine,is developed.A variety ofβ-hydroxy thiocyanates as important intermediates in agricultural and pharmaceutical chemistry were obtained in high yields with excellent regioselectivity and in short reaction times.  相似文献

Air–water bubbly jets are studied experimentally in a relatively large water tank with a gas volume fraction, Co, of up to 80% and nozzle Reynolds number, Re, ranging from 3500 to 17,700. Measurements of bubble properties and mean axial water velocity are obtained and two groups of experiments are identified, one with relatively uniform bubble sizes and another with large and irregular bubbles. For the first group, dimensionless relationships are obtained to describe bubble properties and mean liquid flow structure as functions of Co and Re. Measurements of bubble slip velocity and estimates of the drag coefficient are also provided and compared to those for isolated bubbles from the literature. The study confirms the importance of bubble interactions to the dynamics of bubbly flows. Bubble breakup processes are also investigated for bubbly jets. It was found that a nozzle Reynolds number larger than 8000 is needed to cause breakup of larger bubbles into smaller bubbles and to produce a more uniform bubble size distribution. Moreover, the Weber number based on the mean water velocity appears to be a better criteria than the Weber number based on the bubble slip velocity to describe the onset of bubble breakup away from the nozzle, which occurs at a Weber number larger than 25.  相似文献

Three new transition metal complexes have been synthesized with a Schiff base,3-(2-hydroxy-5-chlorophenylimino)-l,3- diphenylpropen-1-one.In all complexes Schiff base is completely deprotonated and coordinated to metal as tridentate ligand via phenolic and enolic oxygens and imine nitrogen.Thermal decomposition of the complexes has been studied by thermogravimetry. The in vitro antibacterial activity of Schiff bases and their complexes has been evaluated and compared with the standard drugs.  相似文献

An atom-efficient and environment-friendly approach for the synthesis of aryl-14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthenes (3a–o) via the one-pot reaction of β-naphthol and aryl aldehydes (1) catalyzed by DBH has been developed. In the present work, heterogenization of Ru(salophen)Cl via its axial ligation to silica-bound imidazole, SiIm, is reported. The heterogeneous catalyst, [Ru(salophen)Cl–SiIm], was characterized by elemental analysis, SEM, TEM, FT-IR and diffuse reflectance UV–Vis spectroscopic techniques. The catalyst, which is not soluble in water and common organic solvents, was used for efficient epoxidation of cyclic and linear alkenes with NaIO4 under agitation with magnetic stirring. This new heterogenized catalyst is of high stability and reusability in the oxidation reactions. The effect of reaction parameters such as solvent and oxidant in the epoxidation of cis-cyclooctene were also investigated.  相似文献

A new PVC membrane electrode for cobalt(II) ions based on a recently synthesized Schiff base of 5-((4-nitrophenyl)azo)- N-(2',4'-dimethoxyphenyl)salicylaldimine is reported. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response for Co(2+) ions over a wide concentration range (9.0 x 10(-7)-1.0 x 10(-2) M) with a slope of 29(+/-1). The limit of detection is 8.0 x 10(-7) M. The proposed sensor revealed good selectivities over a wide variety of other cations including hard and soft metals. This electrode could be used in a pH range of 3.5-6.0. It was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titrations of cobalt(II) ions and can be used in the direct determination of Co(2+) in aqueous solutions.  相似文献

Nitrous oxide adsorption on the pristine(6,0) magnesium oxide nanotube was studied by using density functional theory calculations.We present the nature of the N2O interaction in selected sites of the nanotube.Adsorption energies corresponding to adsorption of the N2O on the nanotube were calculated to be in the range -11.67 to -22.21 kJ mol-1.Our results indicate that the N2O molecule has a weak physical adsorption on the pristine models due to weak Van der Waals interaction between the nanotubes and N2O molecule.The important results can be useful in production of the N2O sensors.  相似文献

In this study a mathematical model of a small scale single pellet for the oxidative coupling of methane(OCM)over titanite pervoskite is developed.The method is based on a computational fluid dynamics(CFD)code which known as Fluent may be adopted to model the reactions that take place inside the porous catalyst pellet.The steady state single pellet model is coupled with a kinetic model and the intra-pellet concentration profiles of species are provided.Subsequent to achieving this goal,a nonlinear reaction network consisting of nine catalytic reactions and one gas phase reaction as an external program is successfully implemented to CFD-code as a reaction term in solving the equations.This study is based on the experimental design which is conducted in a differential reactor with a Sn/BaTiO3 catalyst(7-8 mesh) at atmospheric pressure,GHSV of 12000 h-1,ratio of methane to oxygen of 2,and three different temperatures of 1023,1048 and 1073 K.The modeling results such as selectivity and conversion at the pellet exit are in good agreement with the experimental data.Therefore,it is suggested that to achieve high yield in OCM process the modeling of the single pellet should be considered as the heart of catalytic fixed bed reactor.  相似文献
