Dipole moments of boron chelates with tropolone and 1,3-diketone derivatives

Dipole moments were determined for the chelates 2-6 of benzodioxaborole or diphenylborinic acid with tropolone derivatives or with 1,3-diketones (acetylacetone, dibenzoylmethane). Correlations with the structure were attempted.

The present paper belongs to the family of the contributions dedicated to more general iterated function systems. Namely, we consider infinite iterated function systems and cardinality problems concerning their attractors.     

Three-dimensional numerical simulation of the reciprocating flow in a branching tube network

The paper deals with the three dimensional numerical simulation of the reciprocating flow in a branching network, a phenomenon that might be found for example in the human bronchi. As the first approximation, the working fluid was water with laminar flow regime. The main issue was to elucidate the mechanism of the air exchange in the human lungs. The model used in this simulation consists of two branching generations. Three different cases have been analyzed with various frequency, Re and Wo numbers.     

Progress toward the total synthesis of bacchopetiolone: application of a tandem aromatic oxidation/Diels-Alder reaction

Dunford-Pettis like properties on tensor products

In this paper we study equivalent formulations of the DP^? P_p (1 < p < ∞). We show that X has the DP^? P_p if and only if every weakly-p-Cauchy sequence in X is a limited subset of X. We give su?cient conditions on Banach spaces X and Y so that the projective tensor product X ?_π Y, the dual (X ?_? Y)^? of their injective tensor product, and the bidual (X ?_π Y)^?? of their projective tensor product, do not have the DP P_p, 1 < p < ∞. We also show that in some cases, the projective and the injective tensor products of two spaces do not have the DP^? P_p, 1 < p < ∞.
