We have studied the excitation function of the reaction 2H(π±, p)X at a fixed proton angle of 90° for several fixed proton momenta of the detected proton as a function of the incident pion energy. No signal was found for a previous candidate for a dibaryon resonance around a mass of 2.23 GeV. The general trend of the data is reproduced by a multiple scattering theory  相似文献

Binary ferromagnetic Mn(3-delta)Ga (1.2<3-delta< or =1.5) crystalline thin films have been epitaxially grown on wurtzite GaN(0001) surfaces using rf N-plasma molecular beam epitaxy. The film structure is face-centered tetragonal with CuAu type-I (L1(0)) ordering with (111) orientation. The in-plane epitaxial relationship to GaN is nearly ideal with [110](MnGa) parallel[1100](GaN) and [112](MnGa) parallel[1120](GaN). We observe magnetic anisotropy along both the in-plane and out-of-plane directions. The magnetic moments are found to depend on the Mn/(Mn+Ga) flux ratio and can be controlled by observation of the surface reconstruction during growth, which varies from 1x1 to 2x2 with increasing Mn stoichiometry.  相似文献

Using a [Ru(II)([9]aneS3)] templating moiety, kinetically-locked, metallomacrocycles incorporating adenine based ligands have been synthesised through self-assembly. The kinetically robust nature of these structures is confirmed by electrochemical studies: each can be reversibly oxidised in a four-member redox series, containing two formally mixed valence states. Unusually, the electrochemically derived comproportionation constants for these mixed valence states are very different, suggesting that intermetallic coupling differs between the two states. Spectroelectochemistry studies confirm that while the [Ru(II)2Ru(III)] state is valence localised, the [Ru(II)Ru(III)2] state is electronically delocalised. Mechanisms by which this switching effect could occur, which involve the unusual connectivities in these mixed valence species, are presented.  相似文献

In two recent studies1, 2 of cascade mixing, the process in which energetic ion bombardment can redistribute the atomic components of a multielemental target via recoil processes, a diffusion approximation has been assumed, apparently with signif-icantly different results2. There has been a long history of research into errors and their role in the teaching and learning of mathematics. This research has led to a change to pedagogical recommendations from avoiding errors to explicitly using them in lessons. In this study, 22 mathematics lessons were video-recorded and transcribed. A conversation analytic (CA) approach was then taken to examine how mathematical errors are treated by teachers and students when they arise in interaction. Despite pedagogical recommendations, in these interactions, errors continue to be predominantly treated as something to avoid. There is a tension between the affective aspects of managing errors in interactions and the cognitive aspects. Close examination of classroom interactions enable us to see how these tensions are managed both by teachers and students.  相似文献

The geometric and electronic structures of the title complexes have been studied using scalar relativistic, gradient-corrected density functional theory. Extension of our previous work on six-coordinate M[N(EPH 2) 2] 3 (M = La, Ce, U, Pu; E = O, S, Se, Te), models for the experimentally characterized M[N(EP (i)Pr 2) 2] 3, yields converged geometries for all of the other 4f and 5f metals studied and for all four group 16 elements. By contrast, converged geometries for nine-coordinate M[N(EPPh 2) 2] 3 are obtained only for E = S and Se. Comparison of the electronic structures of six- and nine-coordinate M[N(EPH 2) 2] 3 suggests that coordination of the N atoms produces only minor changes in the metal-chalcogen interactions. Six-coordinate Eu[N(EPH 2) 2] 3 and Am[N(EPH 2) 2] 3 with the heavier group 16 donors display geometric and electronic properties rather different from those of the other members of the 4f and 5f series, in particular, longer than expected Eu-E and Am-E bond lengths, smaller reductions in charge difference between M and E down group 16, and larger f populations. The latter are interpreted not as evidence of f-based metal-ligand covalency but rather as being indicative of ionic metal centers closer to M (II) than M (III). The Cm complexes are found to be very ionic, with very metal-localized f orbitals and Cm (III) centers. The implications of the results for the separation of the minor actinides from nuclear wastes are discussed, as is the validity of using La (III)/U (III) comparisons as models for minor actinide/Eu systems.  相似文献

A three‐dimensional Cartesian cut cell method is described for modelling compressible flows around complex geometries, which may be either static or in relative motion. A background Cartesian mesh is generated and any solid bodies cut out of it. Accurate representation of the geometry is achieved by employing different types of cut cell. A modified finite volume solver is used to deal with boundaries that are moving with respect to the stationary background mesh. The current flow solver is an unsplit MUSCL–Hancock method of the Godunov type, which is implemented in conjunction with a cell‐merging technique to maintain numerical stability in the presence of arbitrarily small cut cells and to retain strict conservation at moving boundaries. Trichomonas vaginalis generates reduced ferredoxin within a unique subcellular organelle, hydrogenosome that is used as a reductant for H2 production. Pyruvate ferredoxin oxidoreductase and NADH dehydrogenase (NADH-DH) are the two enzymes catalyzing the production of reduced ferredoxin. The genes encoding the two subunits of NADH-DH were cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. Kinetic properties of the recombinant heterodimer were similar to that of the native enzyme from the hydrogenosome. The recombinant holoenzyme contained 2.15 non-heme iron and 1.95 acid-labile sulfur atoms per heterodimer. The EPR spectrum of the dithionite-reduced protein revealed a [2Fe–2S] cluster with a rhombic symmetry of g xyz?=?1.917, 1.951, and 2.009 corresponding to cluster N1a of the respiratory complex I. Based on the Fe content, absorption spectrum, and the EPR spectrum of the purified small subunit, the [2Fe–2S] cluster was located in the small subunit of the holoenzyme. This recombinant NADH-DH oxidized NADH and reduced low redox potential electron carriers, such as viologen dyes as well as Clostridium ferredoxin that can couple to hydrogenase for H2 production from NADH. These results show that this unique hydrogenosome NADH dehydrogenase with a critical role in H2 evolution in the hydrogenosome can be produced with near-native properties in E. coli for metabolic engineering of the bacterium towards developing a dark fermentation process for conversion of biomass-derived sugars to H2 as an energy source.  相似文献
