A biclique of a graph G is a maximal induced complete bipartite subgraph of G. The biclique graph of G, denoted by , is the intersection graph of the bicliques of G. We say that a graph G diverges (or converges or is periodic) under an operator F whenever ( for some m, or for some k and , respectively). Given a graph G, the iterated biclique graph of G, denoted by , is the graph obtained by applying the biclique operator k successive times to G. In this article, we study the iterated biclique graph of G. In particular, we classify the different behaviors of when the number of iterations k grows to infinity. That is, we prove that a graph either diverges or converges under the biclique operator. We give a forbidden structure characterization of convergent graphs, which yield a polynomial time algorithm to decide if a given graph diverges or converges. This is in sharp contrast with the situsation for the better known clique operator, where it is not even known if the corresponding problem is decidable. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Ethylene/polyene analogues composed of heavier group 14 elements, such as silicon and germanium, do not prefer a planar structure. In the repulsion dominant (RD) model of our previous study mainly focusing on the planarity of hexasilabenzene, it was demonstrated that electron repulsion promotes nonplanarization of heavy benzene analogues. In this study, we have investigated a correlation between intramolecular π-electron transfers (polarization effect) and planarity in various linear unsaturated compounds in order to deepen the RD model. Herein, it was revealed that the ability to hold π-electrons in the planar molecular structure is characteristic of each element. For example, carbon can hold more than one π-electron, whereas silicon and germanium cannot tolerate even one π-electron to keep the planar structure. Thus, π-accepting substituents on the heavy atom were found to make the heavy ethylenes and linear polyenes planar by controlling the number of π-electrons on each skeletal atom. 相似文献

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic drug that is safe at therapeutic doses. However, acetaminophen overdose can be fatal. Currently, the only treatment available is the N-acetyl cysteine. The diterpene kaurenoic acid (ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid, KA) is the major constituent of Sphagneticola trilobata (L.) Pruski. KA presents anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptive and antioxidant properties. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of KA in a model of acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity. KA increased, in a dose-dependent manner, the survival rate after acetaminophen overdose. KA reduced acetaminophen-induced hepatic necrosis and ALT and AST levels. KA decreased acetaminophen-induced neutrophil and macrophage recruitment, oxidative stress and the production of IL-33, TNF-α and IL-1β, alongside with normalisation of IL-10 levels in the liver. Therefore, KA showed preclinical efficacy in acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity and lethality. 相似文献

Thermo-optical parameters of CdSe/ZnS core-shell nanoparticles suspended in toluene were measured using a thermal lens (TL) technique. TL transient measurements were performed using the mode-mismatched dual-beam (excitation and probe) configuration. A He-Ne laser at λp = 632.8 nm was used as the probe beam and an Ar+ laser (at λe = 514.5 nm) was used as the excitation beam for studies as a function of both core size and concentration of CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals. The fraction thermal load (φ) and radiative quantum efficiencies (η) of the CdSe/ZnS were determined. Dependence on core size (∼2-5 nm) and concentration (∼0.01-0.62 mg/ml) was observed for both φ and η parameters. 相似文献

Clindamycin is used for infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative anaerobic pathogens and Gram-positive aerobes. Propionibacterium acnes is an important opportunistic microorganism of the human skin and is related to prostatitis. An LC–electrospray ionization–quadrupole time-of-flight–MS method was validated for determining clindamycin concentrations in plasma and prostate microdialysate. Clindamycin separation was carried out on a C18 column at 0.5 mL/min. The mobile phase employed gradient elution of formic acid and methanol. A mass spectrometer was operated in positive electrospray ionization mode to monitor ion 425.1784 and 253.1152 for clindamycin and cimetidine (internal standard), respectively. Linearity was obtained at 0.5–10.0 μg/mL (plasma) and 0.05–1.0 μg/mL (microdialysate) with coefficients of determination ≥0.999. The intra- and inter-day precision (coefficient of variation - CV%) values were ≤13.83% and 12.51% for plasma, respectively, and ≤10.90% and 9.35% for microdialysate, respectively. The accuracy was between 90.82% and 108.25% for plasma, and 96.97% and 106.98% for microdialysate. The present method was fully validated and applied to investigate clindamycin concentrations in both plasma and prostate by microdialysis in Wistar rats (80 mg/kg, intravenous). Because the penetration of antibiotics into the prostate may be restricted, this method allows us to investigate the prostate concentrations of clindamycin for the first time. 相似文献

Here a unique single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) transformation of a 116-nuclear AuI72CdII40NaI4 cage-of-cage ( 2 CdNa) is reported, which was created from a trigold(I) metalloligand with d -penicillamine by way of a 9-nuclear AuI6CdII3 cage ( 1 ). Cage-of-cage 2 CdNa is composed of 12 cages of 1 that are linked by 4 Cd2+ and 4 Na+ ions, with its surface being covered by 12 NO3− ions to form a discrete, spherical molecule with a diameter ca. 4.7 nm. In crystal 2 CdNa, the cage-of-cage molecules are packed in a cubic lattice with a huge cell volume of ca. 4.5×105 Å3, so as to have large interstices with diameters of more than 3 nm. Upon soaking crystals 2 CdNa in aqueous Cu(NO3)2, all Cd2+ and Na+ were quickly exchanged by Cu2+ to produce an analogous AuI72CuII44 cage-of-cage ( 2 Cu) in a SCSC manner. Prolonged soaking led to the SCSC transformation to another supramolecular structure ( 2′ Cu) consisting of 152-nuclear AuI72CuII80 cage-of-cages that are alternately H-bonded with the AuI72CuII44 cage-of-cages. 2′ Cu showed the accommodation of MoO42− and the conversion of MoO42− to β-Mo8O264− in the crystal, with retention of single-crystallinity. 相似文献

Endocytic pathways are practical routes for the intracellular delivery of biomacromolecules. Along with this, effective strategies for endosomal cargo release into the cytosol are desired to achieve successful delivery. Focusing on compositional differences between the cell and endosomal membranes and the pH decrease within endosomes, we designed the lipid-sensitive and pH-responsive endosome-lytic peptide HAad. This peptide contains aminoadipic acid (Aad) residues, which serve as a safety catch for preferential permeabilization of endosomal membranes over cell membranes, and His-to-Ala substitutions enhance the endosomolytic activity. The ability of HAad to destabilize endosomal membranes was supported by model studies using large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) and by increased intracellular delivery of biomacromolecules (including antibodies) into live cells. Cerebral ventricle injection of Cre recombinase with HAad led to Cre/loxP recombination in a mouse model, thus demonstrating potential applicability of HAad in vivo. 相似文献

Super elastic nitinol (NiTi) wires were exploited as highly robust supports for three distinct crosslinked polymeric ionic liquid (PIL)-based coatings in solid-phase microextraction (SPME). The oxidation of NiTi wires in a boiling (30% w/w) H2O2 solution and subsequent derivatization in vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS) allowed for vinyl moieties to be appended to the surface of the support. UV-initiated on-fiber copolymerization of the vinyl-substituted NiTi support with monocationic ionic liquid (IL) monomers and dicationic IL crosslinkers produced a crosslinked PIL-based network that was covalently attached to the NiTi wire. This alteration alleviated receding of the coating from the support, which was observed for an analogous crosslinked PIL applied on unmodified NiTi wires. A series of demanding extraction conditions, including extreme pH, pre-exposure to pure organic solvents, and high temperatures, were applied to investigate the versatility and robustness of the fibers. Acceptable precision of the model analytes was obtained for all fibers under these conditions. Method validation by examining the relative recovery of a homologous group of phthalate esters (PAEs) was performed in drip-brewed coffee (maintained at 60 °C) by direct immersion SPME. Acceptable recoveries were obtained for most PAEs in the part-per-billion level, even in this exceedingly harsh and complex matrix. 相似文献
