Synthesis and properties of an energetic complex pentaamminecobalt (III) perchlorate,with 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole as ligand

Energetic metal complex, 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole-N¹(N²) pentaamminecobalt(III) perchlorate, was produced by the anation reaction of aqua pentaamminecobalt(III) perchlorate with 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole. The thermal decomposition of the metal complex and its mixtures with 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethylene (FOX-7) was studied.     

New method for computer analysis of complex intermetallic compounds and nanocluster model of the samson phase Cd<Subscript>3</Subscript>Cu<Subscript>4</Subscript>

A new method is proposed for the computer analysis of crystal structures of complex intermetallic compounds (with more than 1000 atoms per unit cell) using a developed algorithm of the complete decomposition of the 3D graph of the structure into nanocluster substructures. This method has been implemented in the TOPOS software package and approved successfully in an analysis of the complex Cu₃Cd₄ structure (Samson phase). Cu₃Cd₄ structure models were used to establish a structural relationship between nanoclusters in this intermetallic compound and nanoclusters in other complex crystal structures: ZrZn₂₂, Ru₇Mg₄₄, NaCd₂, and Mg₂Al₃.

Calculation of light fields of concentrated sources in turbid media with strongly anisotropic scattering

An efficient approach to solving the equation of radiation transfer in a turbid medium with strongly anisotropic scattering is proposed based on the small-angle approximation of the theory of radiation transfer with allowance for the dispersion of the radiation propagation path length, as well as with allowance for polarization. The approach is applied to the solution of the problem of the field of a pointlike isotropic radiation source in a two-dimensional medium.     

Decomposition of pentaammineaquacobalt(III) perchlorate under laser radiation action

Photolytic decomposition of the complex [Co(NH₃)₅(H₂O)](ClO₄)₃ under the action of a laser with a wavelength of 355 nm, which is resonant in energy to the energy of the (¹ A _1g → ¹ T _2g ) d–d transition, was studied. Decomposition of the complex is accompanied by a release of ammonia with its subsequent oxidation to nitrogen oxides and by partial cobalt reduction with the formation of the mixed cobalt(II, III) oxide Co₃O₄.
