We present the study of Co/organic semiconductor (OS) stacks both from the morphological and magnetic point of view. Co has been successfully used up to now as top contact of hybrid vertical devices. While the properties of Co grown on amorphous layers are well established, its deposition on soft materials presents critical aspects such as interfacial damage that affects its electrical and magnetic properties. In this work we focus on the influence of the morphology of the organic underlayer in the magnetic behavior of a Co thin film: tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3) grown in different conditions by molecular beam evaporation have been considered. A further considered aspect is the effect of the presence of a thin oxide barrier (Al2O3) on the Co magnetic properties. 相似文献

A selective functionalization of dopamine amino group with the photoluminescent 7-nitroben-zofurazan was achieved through a one-pot protection-functionalization-deprotection sequence. The resulting fluorescent catecholic ligand was used as a capping agent for iron oxide nanoparticles thus obtaining photoluminescent magnetic nanoparticles (PL-MNPs). The PL-MNPs were then embedded into PLGA-b-PEG polymeric nanocarriers which quenched the emission of the capping agent. Full recovery of fluorescence was observed after disassembling the polymeric layer of the nanoparticle, thus supporting the use of PL-MNPs as a multifunctional system for targeted drug delivery. 相似文献

Parabens (PBs) are used as preservatives to extend the shelf life of various foodstuffs, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations. In this work, the membrane barrier passage potential of a subset of seven parabens, i.e., methyl-, ethyl-, propyl- isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, and benzyl paraben, along with their parent compound, p-hydroxy benzoic acid, were studied. Thus, the Franz cell diffusion (FDC) method, biomimetic liquid chromatography (BLC), and in silico prediction were performed to evaluate the soundness of both describing their permeation through the skin. While BLC allowed the achievement of a full scale of affinity for membrane phospholipids of the PBs under research, the permeation of parabens through Franz diffusion cells having a carbon chain > ethyl could not be measured in a fully aqueous medium, i.e., permeation enhancer-free conditions. Our results support that BLC and in silico prediction alone can occasionally be misleading in the permeability potential assessment of these preservatives, emphasizing the need for a multi-technique and integrated experimental approach. 相似文献

Tandem mass spectrometry is proposed to check lipid oxidation, a free radical-mediated phenomenon which effects oxidative deterioration in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Antioxidants are used by the food industry to delay the oxidation process. This process can be controlled by antioxidants, which may occur as natural constituents of foods or may be intentionally added to products. Synthetic antioxidants such as BHT, BHA, and propyl gallate have been extensively used as antioxidants in the industry. The worldwide tendency to avoid or minimize the use of synthetic food additives has prompted the replacement of synthetic antioxidants with natural analogues. The entire process can be supported by the detection and characterization of the reacting species by suitable application of electrospray tandem mass spectrometry under collision-induced dissociation (ESI-CID-MS/MS). Natural antioxidants were tested in this study to check the oxidative stability of algae oil when adding the natural additive. Results were observed in algae oil in situ using electrospray mass spectrometry in tandem with collision-induced dissociation tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-CID-MS/MS) and the POBN spin trapper. The results indicate that alpha-tocopherol is a better antioxidant. 相似文献
