A fast and accurate analytical method was established for the simultaneous direct determination of aluminum, calcium and iron in silicon carbide and silicon nitride powders by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry using a slurry sampling technique and a Hitachi Model Z-9000 atomic absorption spectrometer. The slurry samples were prepared by the ultrasonication of silicon carbide or silicon nitride powders with 0.1 M nitric acid. Calibration curves were prepared by using a mixed standard solution containing aluminum, calcium, iron and 0.1 M nitric acid. The analytical results of the proposed method for aluminum, calcium and iron in silicon carbide and silicon nitride reference materials were in good agreement with the reference values. The detection limits for aluminum, calcium and iron were 0.6 microg/g, 0.15 microg/g and 2.5 microg/g, respectively, in solid samples, when 200 mg of powdered samples were suspended in 20 ml of 0.1 M nitric acid and a 10 microl portion of the slurry sample was then measured. Enzymatic hydrolysis of poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) and poly(butylene succinate‐co‐L ‐lactate) (PBSL) has been studied by using a lipase originated from Pseudomonas cepacia. It has been found that the drawn fibers of PBSL are readily hydrolyzed by the action of the lipase, while those of PBS undergo little enzymatic hydrolysis. Since the polymer films of PBS and PBSL are readily hydrolyzed under the same conditions, the enzymatic hydrolysis should depend not only on the crystallinity but also on the molecular orientation. The molecular weight of the samples gradually decreases with incubation time, because nonspecific hydrolysis occurs on the main chains of both PBS and PBSL even in the absence of lipase. The enzymatic hydrolysis of PBS and PBSL gives 4‐hydroxybutyl succinate (HBS) as the main product with traces of succinic acid and butane‐1,4‐diol together with L ‐lactic acid in the case of PBSL. In addition, the hydrolysis rate of the carboxyl end‐capped PBS is much slower than that of the original or hydroxyl end‐capped PBS. These results imply a hydrolysis mechanism involving the preferential exo‐type chain scission from the carboxyl terminals.

Synthesis of indenothiophenone derivatives by cycloaromatization of non-conjugated thienyl tetraynes
Non-conjugated thienyl tetrayne derivatives 1-3 are prepared as novel building block for the construction of indenothiophenone derivatives. Comparative study of electrochemical redox behaviour of five different nitroxyl radicals leads to the direct correlation between one-electron redox potentials and group electronegativity of the beta-substituent on the ring. Beta-substituents with an electron-donating effect caused a negative shift in the one-electron oxidation and one-electron reduction potentials of the nitroxyl radicals. Transition probabilities were evaluated for the X (1)A(1)-A (1)B(1) and A (1)B(1)-B (1)A(1) systems of GeH(2) and GeD(2) to analyze the X-->A-->B photoexcitation. Franck-Condon factors (FCFs) and Einstein's B coefficients were computed by quantum vibrational calculations using the three-dimensional potential energy surfaces (PESs) of the X (1)A(1), A (1)B(1), and B (1)A(1) electronic states and the transition dipole moments for the X-A and A-B systems. The global PESs were determined by the multireference configuration interaction calculations with the Davidson correction and the interpolant moving least squares method combined with the Shepard [Proceedings of the 1968 23rd ACM National Conference (ACM, New York, 1968)] interpolation. The barriers to linearity correcting the spin-orbit interaction are evaluated to be 22,000 cm(-1) for the X state, 6300 cm(-1) for the A state, and 560 cm(-1) for the B state. The obtained FCFs for the X-A and A-B systems indicate that the bending mode is strongly enhanced in the excitation since the equilibrium bond angle greatly varies within the three states. The photoexcitation and fluorescence spectra calculated for the X-A system agree well with the observed spectra. The theoretical lifetimes for lower vibrational levels of the A and B states were calculated from the fluorescence decay rates for the A-X, B-A, and B-X emissions, and the lifetimes for the A state are in good agreement with the observed values except those affected by predissociation. 相似文献

This review describes the results of the author’s studies on glycoproteins which have been carried out for more than 50 years. Starting from the elucidation of basic structures of glycoproteins, i.e. the structure of the linkage between an amino acid and a sugar and the occurrence of the β-mannosidic linkage as the common structure of glycoproteins, the author became interested in the cell membrane glycoproteins focused on the comparison of cancer cells versus normal cells. These studies were then extended to the establishment of sugar-directed and cancer-associated monoclonal antibodies. Some of the monoclonal antibodies are useful for cancer diagnosis. 相似文献
