The electrochemical gate based on a chemical signal-responsive membrane was assembled on a Au electrode surface. The polyelectrolyte gel membrane was capable to bind cholesterol because of the hydrogen bonding between cholesterol and the polymer backbone resulting in the gel swelling. The membrane channels were reversibly closed and opened upon addition and washing out cholesterol, respectively. Thus, the electrochemical process of a soluble redox probe, [Fe(CN)(6)](3-/4-), at the membrane-modified electrode was reversibly switched "on-off" by the cyclic addition and washing out cholesterol. The electrochemical reaction was also tuned by the variation of the concentration of the added cholesterol that controlled the extent of the channels closing. The switchable and tuneable operation of the chemically controlled electrochemical gate was characterized by Faradaic impedance spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy, indicating that the extent of the pores opening and closing is controlled by the concentration of the membrane-associated cholesterol. The chemical-responsive electrochemical gate was suggested to be a part of future biochemical/electrochemical systems with logic operations.  相似文献

A principal possibility of the utilization of polymer peroxides for the modification of polymer surfaces that provides an immobilization of the tailored quantity of peroxide groups at them has been established. The processes of polymer surface activation with following “grafting from” or “grafting to” utilizing immobilized peroxide groups has been studied using a FTIR-ATR spectroscopy, ellipsometry and measurements of contact angles. The proposed technique of polymer surface activation is based on the universal ability of carbon chain polymer to participate the free radical reactions.  相似文献

The indides Eu2Pd2In and Eu2Pt2In were synthesized from the elements in sealed tantalum tubes in an induction furnace. The samples were characterized by powder X‐ray diffraction. The structures were refined on the basis of single‐crystal X‐ray diffractometer data: HT‐Pr2Co2Al type, C2/c, a = 1035.7(2), b = 592.9(1), c = 823.6(2) pm, β = 104.26(1) °, wR2 = 0.026, 1075 F2 values, 25 variables for Eu2Pd2In and a = 1017.2(2), b = 588.7(1), c = 826.5(1) pm, β = 103.76(1) °, wR2 = 0.062, 706 F2 values, 25 variables for Eu2Pt2In. The indium atoms have four platinum (palladium) neighbors in strongly distorted tetrahedral coordination at Pt–In and Pd–In distances ranging from 273 to 275 pm. These InPd4/2 and InPt4/2 units are condensed via common edges to infinite InPd2 and InPt2 chains, which are surrounded by the europium atoms. The chains form the motif of hexagonal rod packing.  相似文献

It is well known that the alignment of liquid crystals (LCs) can be realised by rubbing or photoalignment technologies. Recently, nonlinear laser lithography (NLL) was introduced as a fast, relatively low-cost method for large area nano-grating fabrication based on laser-induced periodic surface structuring. In this letter for the first time, the usage of the NLL as a perspective method of the alignment of nematics was presented. By NLL, nanogrooves with about 0.92 μm period were formed on Ti layer. The nanostructured Ti layer (NSTL) was coated with oxidianiline-polyimide film with annealing of the polymer followed without any further processing. Aligning properties of NSTLs were examined with combined twist LC cell. The dependencies of the twist angle of LC cells and azimuthal anchoring energy (AE) of layers on scanning speed and power of laser beam during processing of the Ti layer were the focus of our studies as well. The maximum azimuthal AE, obtained for pure NSTL, is comparable with photoalignment technology. It was found that the deposition of polyimide film on NSTL leads to the gain effect of the azimuthal AE. Also, atomic force microscopy (AFM) study of aligning surfaces was carried out.  相似文献

The material with a high Curie temperature of cobalt-doped zinc oxide embedded with silver-nanoparticle thin films was studied by electron magnetic resonance. The nanoparticles were synthesized by the homogeneous nucleation technique. Thin films were produced with the pulsed laser deposition method. The main aim of this work was to investigate the effect of Ag nanoparticles on the magnetic properties of the films. Simultaneously, the coexisting Ag0 and Ag2+ centers in zinc oxide structures are shown. A discussion of the signal seen in the low field was conducted. To analyze the temperature dependence of the line parameters, the theory described by Becker was used. The implementation of silver nanoparticles causes a significant shift of the line, and the ferromagnetic properties occur in a wide temperature range with an estimated Curie temperature above 500 K.  相似文献

The modified electrode functionalized with a mixed‐polymer brush composed of poly(2‐vinylpyridine) and polyacrylic acid tethered to the surface demonstrated switchable interfacial properties discriminating negatively and positively charged redox species. The switchable electrochemical process was characterized by differential pulse voltammetry and Faradaic impedance spectroscopy. The electrochemical system was discussed as a model of an electrochemical multiplexer with two chemical redox inputs, the pH input operating as the selecting signal and one electronic output signal readable by the impedance spectroscopy in the form of the interfacial resistance. The modified electrode represents a novel component for integration with biocatalytic and biocomputing systems aiming at biochemically and electronically controlled actuators.  相似文献

Herein we demonstrate a plasmonic nanobiosensor that explores chain reaction amplification mechanisms to transduce chemical signals released in biocatalytic reactions, turning optical signals into a visual spectral range. The sensor has a very simple design: gold nanoparticles resting in the surface of a grafted P2VP film. Changes in the gold nanoparticles’ position causes changes in the plasmon coupling mode. This is detected by means of a maximum absorbance shift.  相似文献
