Nanotubular structures of zinc oxide   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
ZnO nanotubes with a regular polyhedral shape, hollow core, and wall thickness as small as 4 nm, have been prepared in large-area substrate by vapor phase growth. The nanotubes can be classified into two groups consisting of either polycrystalline or straight single crystal. The formation of the ZnO nanotubes was found closely related to the hexagonal structure of the ZnO crystal and the peculiar growth conditions used.  相似文献

Results on high transverse momentum charged particle emission with respect to the reaction plane are presented for Au + Au collisions at square root s(NN)=200 GeV. Two- and four-particle correlations results are presented as well as a comparison of azimuthal correlations in Au + Au collisions to those in p + p at the same energy. The elliptic anisotropy v(2) is found to reach its maximum at p(t) approximately 3 GeV/c, then decrease slowly and remain significant up to p(t) approximately 7-10 GeV/c. Stronger suppression is found in the back-to-back high-p(t) particle correlations for particles emitted out of plane compared to those emitted in plane. The centrality dependence of v(2) at intermediate p(t) is compared to simple models based on jet quenching.  相似文献

We observe, with angle-resolved photoemission, a dramatic change in the electronic structure of two C60 monolayers, deposited, respectively, on Ag (111) and (100) substrates, and similarly doped with potassium to half filling of the C60 lowest unoccupied molecular orbital. The Fermi surface symmetry, the bandwidth, and the curvature of the dispersion at Gamma point are different. Orientations of the C60 molecules on the two substrates are known to be the main structural difference between the two monolayers, and we present new band-structure calculations for some of these orientations. We conclude that orientations play a key role in the electronic structure of fullerides.  相似文献

The integral cross sections for elastic scattering and spin exchange for proton impact on atomic hydrogen show several oscillations in the energy range 0.01-1.0 eV that cannot be associated with resonances or the glory effect. A complex angular momentum analysis using computed Regge trajectories shows that each peak of the oscillatory structure is predominantly associated with at most three trajectories. In this way, the peaks are related to the L=0 bound states of H+ 2. The complex angular momentum theory for integral cross sections that we introduce shows that such oscillations are a general feature of potential scattering.  相似文献

Effects of temperature and pressure on magnetic, elastic, structural, and thermal properties of Tb5Si2Ge2 have been studied by means of macroscopic (thermal expansion and magnetization) and microscopic (neutron powder diffraction) techniques. We present evidence that the high-temperature second-order ferromagnetic transition can be coupled with the low-temperature first-order structural phase change into a single first-order magnetic-crystallographic transformation at and above a tricritical point in the vicinity of 8.6 kbar. This pressure-induced coupling has a remarkable effect on the magnetocaloric effect, transforming Tb5Si2Ge2 from an ordinary into a giant magnetocaloric effect material.  相似文献

Superconductive quantum circuits comprise quantized energy levels that may be coupled via microwave electromagnetic fields. Described in this way, one may draw a close analogy to atoms with internal (electronic) levels coupled by laser light fields. In this Letter, we present a superconductive analog to electromagnetically induced transparency that utilizes superconductive quantum circuit designs of present day experimental consideration. We discuss how a superconductive analog to electromagnetically induced transparency can be used to establish macroscopic coherence in such systems and, thereby, be utilized as a sensitive probe of decoherence.  相似文献

The viscoelastic properties of the cytoplasm of living yeast cells were investigated by studying the motion of lipid granules naturally occurring in the cytoplasm. A large frequency range of observation was obtained by a combination of video-based and laser-based tracking methods. At time scales from 10(-4) to 10(2) s, the granules typically perform subdiffusive motion with characteristics different from previous measurements in living cells. This subdiffusive behavior is thought to be due to the presence of polymer networks and membranous structures in the cytoplasm. Consistent with this hypothesis, we observe that the motion becomes less subdiffusive upon actin disruption.  相似文献

Using a density functional approach, we study the structural and magnetic properties of the pyrox-ene compound NaTiSi2O6. While all previous workers are taking that NaTiSi2O6 is a quasi-one-dimensional S=1/2 system, our theoretical results indicate that this is a Haldane S=1 chain compound below the phase transition at 210 K. A good agreement is obtained between the calculated and the measured Ti-Ti distances in the dimerized low temperature phase. We present a simple explanation of the flow of the unusual phase transition which is taking place in this compound.  相似文献
